A LETTER TO YOU: Chapter 1 – 10

A LETTER TO YOU

CHAPTER TWO

Did I mention the unusual, yes. It is, I know some of you reading this would have known what am about to write but let me make things clear. I was innocent before the coming of Banji in my Life.

That fateful day, my father had checked on us in the room for the first time, if he had been doing that constantly and asking for what I was taught for the day, this situation would have been avoided but I was like a total stranger to my dad. My two brothers cannot even take care of themselves not to talk of me.

“Have you seen your sister today, and have you helped with her assignments” My mother would ask Jack, that was the name of my eldest brother while the second one bears kelvin.

“She should be fine, she is a big girl now and does not need anyone’s help to feel fine. Concerning the assignments what is the use of the lesson teacher” Kelvin would reply. He was the only one that can challenge my father’s authority a little but he becomes soft like bread in water when he is been threatened with his school fee. This was because he was nineteen and had challenged my father’s method of using cane on him.

“You can’t be flogging me again, I am no longer a kid” He says to my father who after much pressure decided to use the school fee threat on him but these days it is of no use, he later become another thing entirely. His own story is for another chapter of my letter.

That day my dad entered the room and went round, I thought he was suspecting something because that is what he does if he wants to ask questions, his hands would be at his back as he moves around the house.
“I hope you are enjoying the lesson and I believe Banji is teaching you well” He asked with a little bit of smile on his face.

“We are trying sir” Banji talked before me, I had wanted to tell my dad that we are explaining reproductive organ but he was faster in walking as he shut the door behind him but before he leaves, he gave out a stupid order out of ignorance.

“Banji, please get some charts and diagrams for her to understand, make use of real and practical things” My dad said as he left and that was another spark on the motive of Banji who now capitalize in the real clause in the sentence.

“You see, your dad said I should use charts and these, I had done, now it remains the other part which is the real teaching.” He said to me staring into my eyes.

“I don’t understand what you mean by real, you are teaching me already” I said to him but little did I know.

“Just relax, he went to the door and closed it perfectly, I was watching him to know why he was behaving like that, all of a sudden he undressed before, that was the first time of seeing a man’s nkedness.

“what!!! This is a bad, my mum detest this, I must not see a man’s nkedness” I shouted at him but he came closer to me and said how will I know more if I don’t practice it as it will make it stick to my brain.

I resisted for some minutes but after some sweet and petting words from him, I accepted. At first I was afraid but with a little touch the rest was history. That was how I lost my vrgnity to a so called trusted tutor.

After the show, I felt afraid and ashamed that I planned to report to my parents but he begged me to keep it as a secret as it will cost him his reputation. He promised me heaven on earth if I can keep it as a secret which I agreed to.
.A LETTER TO YOU: Chapter 1 – 10

After that day, anytime we were together, we were making out with each other, my mother did not even bother about what was going on in the house probably because I was a good pretender but if she really cares she would have noticed that I had changed a lot in my attitude as I was always wanting to be around Brother Banji, oh sorry, the brother is no longer needed, he is now officially mate. He is Banji, no more respect for him.

One day, it slipped out of my mouth as I called him Banji, my mother was shocked that at his presence I could say that but she slapped my mouth instead of her to ask for the reasons of the disrespect. When I wanted to tell her because I was no longer having feelings for him and based on his attitude my father and mother shut me up.

“You are a liar, how will you say, Banji is looking at your brea$t” my mother said to me.

“But mummy, he did and he ..” I was made to shut up.

“He cannot my dear, oh, I see that you no longer like him, is it because he had shouted at you when you misbehave, you want to lie against him, I pity you. Don’t incur the wrath of God” That was my mother’s reply.

I know you will be saying what kind of mother is she? But that is the fact, many mothers are like that, instead of paying attention to their daughter, they keep defending the other party especially if it involves someone very religious and that has sent many girls to their early grave. Just relax to read my letter to the end. Don’t judge now because you will point accusing finger to different people in this letter so why don’t you be neutral and read till you finish reading (Laughs).

After that day, I don’t report him anymore and he had full access to my body, we no longer study all we study is our body chemistry and I was dying gradually. Mind you, this same Banji has a fiancé and his wedding was close by. We were enjoying each other until the seed he had been planting germinated.

I started feeling dizzy and sleepy most times, I vomit in the morning, I don’t understand this signs at first so I asked my mum what was wrong. She looked at my pale eyes and smiled.

“It is just ordinary fever you are having” She said but the ordinary fever lasted for days until I opened up to Banjo who told me it was a symptoms of fatigue. Little did I know, hr brought a drink which was bitter the next day and asked me to drink..

“I promise you, when you take this drink, you will no longer feel the same way again” he said to me.

The odor from the drink was strong, it was blackish in color and irritating. He made me swallow all the drink, at first I felt relieved but there was a sharp pain in my stomach.

After some hours that Banji had gone I noticed that I had a stomach upset that was so serious that I was vomiting, and within a short time I collapsed on the floor.

I woke up at the hospital, I was told it was Kelvin who saw me in that state. When I woke up, I noticed that my mum was crying, my father was sad, the doctor on duty was telling me to relax and not stress my self. I was confused as I looked at their faces to see what was happening.

I was curious until I had the doctor chat with my dad.
.
“I think she lost her womb, since she was unripe for the strong drink she had” he said to them.

“What!!! Lost my womb, ahh Banji had destroyed my life.” I lamented.

A LETTER TO YOU: Chapter 1 – 10

We moved to our house but instead of succour, I faced he.ll. My parents treated me like I was the bad egg in the family. Banji fled when he heard the news as my father threatened to arrest him.

“So you are so worthless that you gave in so cheaply to a man who destroyed your womb” my father had said to me .

I tried to defend myself but he will not listen, my mum was worst and in due time I became an orphan. My parents were not dead but they had abandoned me. Just one mistake (she looks at the corpse and spat on it ).

“Since you have decided to disgrace yourself and bring shame into this family, I will not be in this with you” my father said to me.

Although, my mum developed a small feelings but she could do nothing at that time..

I finished secondary school in a far away boarding school just because of a mistake, I have no iota of love and care from parents. I struggled to gain admission into a university …hmmm, like I said my letter is to YOU, I want you to read and see if you have not contributed into my failure.

My admission into the university was the last straw that broke the camels back. Do you want to know?.

Haaa (laughs) I can see you are curious (she felt a pain in her lower region and squeezed it a bit). Yes, University, should I say I regret going there or the mon$ter like lecturers I have there or the friends I made..

It is a letter, I will love to continue but my stomach hurts right now, I will continue later mind you I am waiting for the police to come and arrest..

Hmm, Dr. George, the man who chases after whatever is underneath the skirt, how should I describe you, you used the marks against me to find your way into me and destroying me in the process, while your own daughter is been cherished by you..Okay, I will continue with it…but I need to take a short rest.
