I went back home and the only thing on my mind was to commit su!cide.
I couldn’t bear it. I couldn’t believe Ariel could do this to me.
Yes, I was gonna give my baby boy up for adoption but not in such a wicked way.
In tears I dropped my baby on a chair and went for the kitchen just to get a kitchen knife to stab myself but just then, my baby’s cry hit my ears and I ran back.
I carried her into my arms. I still have her beside me and I’m gonna do anything within my heart to bring her up.
“I’m sorry… Baby. I haven’t even given you a name.” I said and smiled while a name came into my mind.
” I shall call you Alexander.” I said and kissed her on her soft pink cheek.
I was fortunate cos my boss at the mall allowed me work with my baby three months later.
Alex was just to bright and cheerful and it made me happy. Infact, it was the only reason I still smile.
She was almost seven months old when I sold off mom’s apartment and relocated.
I decided it was best I leave the country for a better start.
I had to start all over again.
All these while I never stopped thinking about my son.
Where he was,what he looks like and what name they gave him.
It always filled my thoughts. Always.
But I always had this hope that one day,I was gonna meet my son when he’s all big and great.

Wow! It’s so good to be back home again .
So so so good mehn! Three years away from Manhattan, away from my palace like room was unbearable but thank goodness I’m back again nigger!
So first things first.
I’m Daniel Brooke. Danny for short!
I don’t take sh!t from no body not even my parents.
This is more reason my mom decided we should take a long trip to America. Who cares?
What’s that gonna change?
Anyways….I’m back again and that’s all that matters.
“You are registering straight away at Bright stars and there is no questions about that.” Mom said once she sighted me leaving the house.
I growled. “Give it a break mom. We just got back?”
” Yeah winsome you! We just got back but you must get back to school as soon as possible,yeah?
So, together….we are leaving early tomorrow morning for your registration. Come on,Danny. It’s just your last class and last year.”
” Yeah I know.” Okay, I will let her have her way cos we just got back.
I started walking out of the house. I gat lots of people to show off my winsome self. I turned back again to look at mom before leaving.
“Everywhere seems dirty mom. Get a maid in here real quick.”
” Maid? Oh,I think I will have to put up a sign outta the house.” Mom replied. I shrugged and started off again.
“Get back in here when you are done greeting your friends and tell
Andrew I said to come over for dinner!” Mom yelled behind me.
I rolled my eyes and soon,my driver was driving me out of the large compound.

“Mom!!” I yelled as I got into the kitchen. Happily I dropped off my bag and inhaled deeply. What a beautiful day!

I’m almost sixteen with all the curves in the right places.
Blue green eye balls and a deep brown curly hair is just too perfect for me.
It’s not self exaltation…. I Know I’m beautiful cos my sweet mommy is!
“Alex?” Mom turned away from the fridge to look at me.
“Guess what mommy!!” I sang happily.
Mom smiled and looked thoughtfully at me. “Okay…you got the first position in class again?”
” Ugh!” I groaned. “Come on mom. It’s not that!” I stomped my feet on the floor.
Mom laughed. “Okay, what’s it then?”
“I finally got a job!!” I cried happily and jumping up with my hands in the air.
Mom frowned. “What…job?”
I stopped jumping and glared at her. “Mom I told you I’m gonna get a job to help you out after school, didn’t I?”
Mom dropped the saucer in her hand before looking at me..like shocked. “Alex! Why would you even do that!
No jobs Alex! You are still a student and you must concentrate on that okay? I’m trying my best,okay? Just concentrate on schooling, alright?” Mom said coming near me.
Tears stung my eyes immediately. “Mom. Please. Let me just help you out. I have nothing doing after school.
I just wanna work and earn some money for my school.
You can concentrate on your coffee business while I do the little I can. Please,don’t say no. I love you Mom.”
Mom’s tears crawled out of her eyes and ran down her cheeks as she hugged me tightly.
I hugged her back.
When we disengaged from each other,I smiled and wiped her tears.
This woman is just a perfect mommy any body would ask for… she’s my hero.
Oh one day…I’m gonna make this beautiful woman proud.
It’s a promise.
“So, what type of job is it? And where?” Mom asked.
I smiled and clasped my hands together. ” Well… It’s a maid job mom. In a big house.”
