“Enough of the tears” Brittany said and Kaylan sniffled
“It’s a good thing he’s fine now” Kaylan smiled widely
“Aren’t you gonna asked me how those two became friends?” Brittany asked
“I was going to… Kaylan trailed off and Brittany laugh briefly
“They met while in highschool” Brittany said. ” Collins was quiet and gentle hence his cl@ssmates always bvllied him. He couldn’t defend himself until Dean had to interfere”
“What did he do?” Kaylan asked curiously
“He beat them up” Brittany said in a whisper and Kaylan laughed
“After that, no one ever bvllied him and he started following Dean everywhere he goes. He introduced Dean to his parents as his brother and that was how they became glued to each other”
“Who are Collins’s real parents?” Kaylan asked
“Mr and Mrs Henderson. His parents are business tycoons, always so busy with business trips that they h@rdly have time for their boy… Collins and Dean have been living with me since highschool after the death of my husband. Whenever his parents were around, he’ll never visit them unless Dean for-ce him too” Brittany replied
” Oh” was the only thing Kaylan could say
“He’s a CEO too, he owns his own company” Brittany said
“Really? Then why isn’t he working in his company?” Kaylan asked
“Like I said, he’s too acquainted with Dean that he had his manager control his company and decided to become Dean’s P A.. that’s why even at Dean’s critical time, he didn’t stop showing Dean the brotherly affection he has for him” Brittany said and laugh
“Wow.. I really envy their friendship” Kaylan said with a smile and immediately Dean walked in
He met the two of them laughing and he wondered what they were talking about though they weren’t aware of his pres£nce
“I’m begging you kaylan, pls help Dean forget about all those bad memories” Brittany said and Dean frown. He felt anger building up in him that moment
“I will do my best” Kaylan said feeling real sad for Dean
He walked to them and pulled her up. ” We should be on our way now” he said calmly. He was trying h@rd to hide his anger
That was what he hated most in the world– when people start talking about his past. He hated it to the core
“So soon?’ Brittany asked
“You should know why I’m leaving” he replied Coldly and Brittany sighed. She knew the reason for his anger so she couldn’t speak further.
She got confused when Dean didn’t do anything. He always got worked up and start breaking things up whenever anyone talked about his past. She was expecting him to react that way too but he didn’t
“Is it because of Kaylan” Brittany wondered with a glint of excitement in her eyes
“Thanks for the meal mom”Kaylan said and Brittany hug-ged her tightly
“I’ll be counting on you” She whispered to Kaylan and Kaylan nodded
“You don’t have to see us off”Dean spoke up
” Tch’” she scoff and Kaylan giggle
“I will see you again.. Kaylan said and walk out with Dean
“Drive safely” Brittany shouted after them as they left the house
“I will drive” Collins volunteered after seeing Dean’s expression. He couldn’t risk encountering an accident
Dean nodded and entered the car with Kaylan
Kaylan kept stealing glances at him through out the drive. She was suddenly feeling pity for him
I wondered how he survived it all this years. It must really be h@rd and yet he already spent so much on my family,,,,I hope he doesn’t see me as Tyler cause it seems I remind him of his terrible past” Kaylan sobbed silently
“Collins, can you speed up?” Kaylan spoke up
“Why?
“Just speed up.. pls” Kaylan said pleadingly and he nodded before speeding up
Dean didn’t utter a word through out. He was trying to fight his emotions, the hatred burning in his heart right now
He wanted to get mad at her but the other part of him wouldn’t allow it. He exhaled and looked out of the window

They got home and kaylan quickly rush into the house.
“What’s wrong with her?” Collins asked
“You’re both close… maybe you should ask her yourself” Dean replied and Walk straight to his room
Minutes later, Dean heard a knock on his door.
“Collins” he grumbled. “But why would Collins knock before entering my room?” He wondered
“Come in” He said and the door opened revealing Kaylan who was holding a tray of food
“Can I come in?” She asked
“You’re in already”
” Oh, ” she laughed awkwardly before entering the room fully
Her eyes access the room and she smiled at its neatness.
“You didn’t eat anything during today’s dinner, so I made you something” she place the plate of noodles Infront of him
“I didn’t tell you I was hungry” he replied and immediately his stomach growled loudly as if to confirm he was lying
“You don’t have to hide it” she smile
“I will leave now. Make sure you eat it while it’s hot. You might get irritated if it gets cold.. she said
“And I’m sorry it’s just noodles, it’s late and I couldn’t think of anything else so I made use of what you had in the house” she rush her words. “Well,,, bon appetit” She added and held the door knob
“Kaylan” He calmly and she turned to him at once
“Yes?”
“Thank you” he said and she nodded before leaving
He looked at the noddles again and exhaled
