~~~ silence treatment~~~
” Dean” she called tearfully and touched his face but it seems he was no longer himself
“De..Dean” she called again weakly and that did the Job.
Slowly, He began to calm down then it dawned on him he was choking Kaylan not Tyler
He quickly let go and she fell heavily on the ground
“Kaylan.. I’m so sorry… I’m de-eply sorry” he apologized as tears rush down his cheeks
“I was at fault.. she managed to say coughing nonstop
“I shouldn’t have… She p@ss out before she could finish her words
“Kaylan” he called and shook her body trying to wake her up
“I’m sorry” He muttered and carried her to his room
He laid her on his bed and sat close to her
He took her hands in his and rubbed them gently
“I’m sorry it’s my fault” he wept silently as he stared at her
He was angry at himself for strangling her. The only thing he was feeling that moment was guilt!
He’s been battling with his past for years now. He gets worked up whenever it is been mentioned and always loses control of himself
And to think he almost st.rangled Kaylan to d.ead because he mistook her for Tyler made him even more angrier at himself
“You should rest now” he said and covered her with the duvet
“Good night’ he added and glance at her before walking out of the room
He was gonna be spending his night in his guest room
*What would have happened if I didn’t come back to my s£nses?* He wondered
Different thoughts kept popping up in his head such that he had to spend the night sulking in guilt and regrets

~~~ Next morning~~~
He sigh as he left the bed. He proceeded downstairs and met Kaylan in the kitchen
“How are you feeling?” He asked, his hands in his pan-ts pocket
“Fine” she replied without looking at him
“Are you still mad at me? I’m sorry I..
“No, I’m not” she replied cutting him off
He exhaled de-eply and walk towards her. He knew she was mad at him and for some reasons it was making worried
“I will help you with the dishes” he said and tried collecting the plate from her but it fell breaking into pieces
She glared daggers at him before picking up the shattered pieces
“Ouch” she wince when a piece of the plate cut through her index f!ng£r
“Are you okay?” He held her hands
“Why would you pick up a broken plate with your hands huh? It’s so de-ep. I will go get the..
“I don’t need your help” She yank his hands off and continue picking the broken pieces
She was done with cooking and was setting the table when Collins walked in
“I came at the right time” Collins gushed
“Welcome” kaylan for-ce a smile
“Is something wrong?” Collins asked looking between her and Dean
“Nothing” she replied. “I’ll be eating in my room” she added and left
“What happened Dean? Why is she like that? The kaylan I know always has a smile on but she now looks like someone who is possess”
“I lost my mind for a bit .. I almost st.rangle her to dead last night” Dean explained
“Why?” Collins asked calmly
“I don’t know what happened, i just found myself strangling her” he sighed
“What?” Collins whisper-yelled
“I don’t know Collins, I lost it for a while. And now she’s so mad at me”
“She has every right to be mad at you” Collins bang his hands softly on the table and stood up
“For Christ sake Dean, forget about that slvt and face reality, the reason you’re this way is because you still allow your past to overshadow you. What if you had klled her for real all because of one crazy b*tch from your past? what would you have tell her mom and sister huh?
Get a grip of your freaking self and let go of your damn past” He said
” I hope you think about what I just said” he sigh softly. ” Don’t worry I still love you” He winked at him before leaving
Dean sigh de-eply and lean back on his seat, de-ep in thoughts

~~~few weeks later~~~
Weeks p@ssed but they still weren’t on good terms. He’s been trying his best to make it up to her but nothing changed. He had apologized several times but still, nothing changed
She’d Play and laugh with Collins and Brittany but her Expression changes whenever she sees him and it was driving him ¢razy
Most time, she goes to her house and spend most of her day there before coming home late at night
It’s been affecting him greatly even at work. Kaylan was klling him slowly with her silent treatment
He walked into the house that evening and met her watching series.
“Good evening” he greeted
“Evening” she replied casually
“Where’s Collins..
He was trying to start up a conversation but her response were always short and brief. She’s been doing that for weeks now. Always keeping the conversation short and brief
“No idea.. she replied
“Alright” he sighed disappointedly and walk upstairs
Kaylan look away from the Tv and began staring at him as he made his way to his room
She’s been ignoring him for a while and it been h@rd on her too
She was restraining herself from doing what would go against their contract. Her behavior towards him was just a way of klling any feelings she was starting to develop for him
She couldn’t deny she didn’t miss him too all this while she’s been ignoring him. The more she kept trying to kll whatever she was feeling for him the more the emotion grew stronger
Everytime she ignored him she always saw a glint of pain and regret in his eyes
She had explained things to Brittany and Collins, they had also advised her to keep up with the silent treatment for a reason She didn’t know
She was just hoping she was doing the right thing

Dean kept tossing on his bed unable to get some sleep
“I can’t keep up with her attitude any longer” he stood up and left his room. He met her in the living room, her attention was solely on the series she was watching
“Kaylan” he called and she turned to him with a frown
“What now?” She asked. “If it’s about your dinner, it’s set already just go to the dining you will find it there” she said casually
“Why do you hate me? ”
“I don’t. But seeing you everyday irritates me.. I’m not saying I hate you but if you were on fire and I had water, I’ll rather drink it” She replied.
” What?” He g@sped
” Yeah, you heard me and please… Stay away from me” she glared at him
He felt his throat becoming dry and tears threatened to leave his eyes but he blinked them back
“Hey Kaylan” Collins shouted going to meet her
“When did you get here?” She asked smiling broadly.
“Just now” Collins replied and pecked her cheeks
Dean ball his fist tightly trying to suppress his anger
“Anything for me?” She asked
“I bought you…. Chocolate” Collins said and handed her a small bag
“Omg!! Thank you so much Collins” she gushed and hug him tightly
“I will be upstairs then” Dean said and started to walk away
“The stairs is this way not that way” Collins pointed at the stairs
“Just mind your damn busines” he snapped angrily and Collins smir-ked
He Walked to the mini wine bar and took two bottle of Tequila before going to his room
“Is he just coming back from work?” Collins asked, his gaze on Dean’s door
“He came back minutes ago”
“Alright.. just keep up with this okay?” He said while she sighed
“This isn’t right Collins…. He’s hurting ”
“I know…. Have you forgotten he almost klled you few weeks ago? what you’re doing is for the benefits of you both” Collins stated
“What do you mean?”
“C’mon kaylan.. I know you like him, don’t you want him to feel same for you?” He asked
“Tch.. I don’t like him” She scoffed and he chuckled softly
“That’s a talk for another day. I will be in my room now, I’m tired” He said and walk away
“Poor Dean.. I hope you can embrace the new feeling and let go your ugly past” He muttered as he got to the guest room.
” All I want is your happiness because I know you’ll want my happiness too if I were in your shoes” Collins exhaled de-eply
