Chapter 11
Zeus
I opened my eyes slowly and saw Rick, Gavin and Brianna in the room
“he’s awake” Liliana said
“where are we?” I asked, because I thought we were supposed to be in the ocean
“we’re in a hotel room. In Miami” she replied
“we ran away from Kintora” Gavin stated
“but she’s not dead” I said
I was beginning to understand something
I stood up
“Brianna is now Kintora right?” I asked
“well, yes she is” Rick answered
“and if we don’t do something, Brianna is going to die right?” I asked again
They began to stare at each other
“uhm, how did you know?” Rick asked
“I don’t know. But I just know” I answered
“maybe you’re having new powers” Gavin stated
“yeah, maybe you have understanding like I have knowledge” Rick said
“is there anything else you wanna say?” Liliana asked
“let’s go back to Scalia” Rick said
“we just left Scalia” Gavin replied
I sat down on the bed and closed my eyes
I saw Keisha in prison
I opened it immediately
“let’s go back now. Keisha is in prison” I stated as I jerked up
“what” both Gavin and Liliana said
“did Kintora put her there?” Gavin asked
“yes, but she’s free now. Someone helped her” Rick said
“who” Liliana asked
“Zaire” I replied
“Zaire? No way, Zaire can’t help her. She’s working with the queen” Gavin said
“not anymore. She’s on our side now. Though I don’t know why” Rick said
“it’s because she has gotten more power. And because she wants to be the queen instead. Her reasons are bad. She just wants to use us for her own selfish reason” I replied
“oh no! What are we going to do?” Liliana asked
“we’re going to be ahead of her because we know her plan already” I answered
“then let’s start going” Gavin said
“we leave tomorrow morning by dawn” I said
Lilliana sighed softly
Rick smiled at her and she smiled back
What the heck is going on between this two?
Kintora
Time to execute my sister
My ugly sister
She was the best at magic
But now I’m the sovereign mermaid
I swam to a room where I enter only
It was my parents chamber
Our childhood picture is here
Everything about that ugly family of ours is also here
I smirked as I moved to the wall where a huge picture was displayed
I traced my hand through my parents image
“oh beautiful parents. It’s so sad to see that you are not here to witness my victory . I’m sorry for your death. I wonder who killed you. If only I knew who it was…….” I said sadly
“wait… I know who killed you. I DID… hahahahaha” I laughed away and banged the door to the room
Authoress POV
Immediately Kintora banged the door, the walls shook and her picture with Keisha that hung on the wall fell down and broke
Her image and her sister’s image were separated by the crack on the picture
Coincidentally, one of the colored objects used by her father to paint (he was a professional artist) fell from a cabinet
It was red and as it fell, it rolled on her part of the picture and drew an X
Zaire
I hummed as I prepared my potion
After its finished, it will have the power to create a mist that can turn every superior being into an inferior
And by inferior, I mean the smallest and less important
Kintora should get ready for this
Everyone knows that I’m the greatest when it comes to magic
I should be the ruler
And I need to use Keisha for it
She’s the only one that knows her sister’s secrets
I swam to the front where she was seated
“today is supposed to be your execution” I said nicely
“hmmm” she sighed then smiled
“thanks for saving me” she said
“don’t mention. I’m just fed up with Kintora’s ways. She’s supposed to be a good ruler. But she became vulgar. I feel so stupid for helping her all those years, but I’m changed now. Let’s deal with her once and for all” I stated
“you’re very right” she replied and I smirked when she looked away
Keisha
She thinks I’m a fool right?
I’m really wise
I know her plans
She can’t use me for her evil
Zaire can never be good
She was born a villain
And that’s what she’ll remain
But I need her spells
I’ll try my best to learn some of them without her knowledge
Or better still, I’ll just keep making her think I’m on her side, while it’s just going to be a turn of tables
But first, i need to think of how I’ll bring that body to Kintora without anyone’s knowledge
Liliana
These two brothers are the craziest
They taking us to look for Kintora’s former body
How’s that possible?
And they’re keeping me in charge
Why?
Ugh
Ugly things
“but why do we need her body?” I asked
“I can’t explain. Just do as I say” Rick said and swam ahead of me
“you disgust me” I muttered and he stopped and looked at me
“oh oh” Gavin exclaimed
“what did you just say?” he asked, not smiling
I moved back
“sorry” I mumbled
“Liliana take back what you said” he ordered with his eyes red
“why do you look possessed?” I asked
He frowned and swam away
“what’s wrong with him?” I asked looking terrified
“he doesn’t like what you said” Gavin replied
“but I was joking” I said
“you should definitely go after him” Zeus said
I nodded and took off
I swam through some corrals and saw him looking angry
I swam to him and gently placed my hands on his shoulders
“Rick I’m sorry” I said
He didn’t look at me
I swam to his front
“Rick, say something” I pleaded and raised his face up
Slowly his eyes came back to normal
He looked at me and I hugged him
“it’s okay. I…. I overreacted” he said
“just that, I hate those words. It always ruined my day” he added
I perceived maybe Kintora always told him that
“I shouldn’t have said it” I stated and he smiled and drew me up
“you’re beautiful” he mumbled
Wow
I wasn’t expecting that
“thanks” I said shyly
He bent his face to mine
He’s gonna kiss me
He’s definitely going to kiss me
Rick
I stared at her lips
I really wanna kiss her
I wonder what it would be like
I lowered my face and looked into her eyes
I read that if you are trying to kiss a girl, and she closes her eyes. It means she’s willing to kiss you too
To my surprise, Liliana closed her eyes
My eyes widened because I was expecting her to push me away
I smiled and placed my lips on hers
I applied all my theoretical knowledge about kissing
She held my arm and I held her face with my two hands
“uhmm hmm” someone cleared his throat
We looked back to see Gavin and Zeus
“sorry to disturb you but we found the body” Zeus said
“where?” I asked
“there” Gavin said, pointing at it just behind the bushy track
“and we’re right behind the castle!” Liliana exclaimed
“perfect” I stated as I looked through my open window
