MYLES POV

If I ever get married to you, on our wedding day, I won’t show up…..

Those words hurt me seriously and I smacked Skyler on his back. “Don’t ever lock me in a room with a peacock”. I shouted and he jumped up frightened.

“No brother, both of you love each other but you’re proud enough not to admit it, you’re both meant for each other”. He said and ran out …

Skyler’s POV
“Hello Cindy, how’s Ellen?”. I asked over the phone.
“I’m doing good but Ellen’s in a mess, she’s fuming that Myles almost slapped her”. She said and I sighed.

“I know but why should it hurt if they don’t love each other, their hearts yields for each other but their body wants to stay apart”. I said and she also sighed.

“Your plan didn’t work, I think it only worsened the situation”. She said.

“No… It didn’t… I mean… Yes, it didn’t but I’ve come up with another plan that will work for sure”. I said and she chuckled
“Tell me”. She pleaded.
“Here’s the plan, he……”??

Ellen’s POV
“Is the other shareholder of HORACE company around, I can’t wait for too long”. I said and sat down.
“Actually, she is coming”. Mr Roderick said and sat down.

“Ok”. I replied as a lady of my age entered with her two bodyguards.

“I’m Rita Taylor the company’s representative from Dallas”. She said.

No compliments or greetings.. So rude. I observed.
“I’m one of the largest and richest shareholder of HORACE international company”. She said.

“Go straight to the point why you’re here”. I said.
“Don’t rush me”. She ordered and I scoffed.

“Well, Mr Roderick, if she’s done, tell one of the clerical officers to call me”. I said and stood up.

“The HORACE company has refused to merge with your company”. She said and I blinked.
“What’s that?”. I asked shocked.

“Did I speak French or Portuguese or better still French?”. She asked and I slapped her.

“Well, tell whoever asked you to do this that I won’t give up without a fight”. I said and went to the parking lot for my car.

I drove my car straight to Quentin’s Corporate Industries to speak with Myles…

I walked into his despite the secretary warned not to go into his office…

He was with an old man probably a business man or a shareholder or a visitor… Well I don’t care..

“Mr Scott, please excuse us for a minute”. He said and the man went out.

“What’s the meaning of this, didn’t my secretary tell you I was in a meeting”. He said.????

“I don’t care”. I told him bluntly. “One fool from your office Rita Taylor said you’re refusing to join us”. I said and he chuckled.
What was funny?

Did I make a blunder?
Why is the peacock laughing?

“Is that why you’re barking like an hungry dog?”. She asked and I grew furious.

“Your father and my father wants the companies to merge and help the affairs of the state”. I said

“What affairs?”. She asked…. That devil was here again… Rita Taylor…

“Oh Rita”. Myles said and put his hands around her waist.
,”Ohhh sweetie” She replied and chuckled softly.
“So what’s this thing doing here?”. She asked referring to me.

“Meet Rita Taylor who I want to get married to and not you”. He said and my heart beat
