Episode 38
” oh kuma`wo “, I replied him. Ok now the way i wrapped my hands around my chest is embarrassing and childish.
But i don’t like the way he stares at me. He gently moved my hands from my chest. I dropped them both between my thighs.
“You don’t need to be uncomfortable in your room. I won’t stare anymore promise “, he said.
I nodded like a kid even my face Is just like a kid under punishment.
Just then a maid opened the door and pushed in a white table that had tires under
It was filed with food and drinks. Omg! Thank God. I was starving
Liam stood up and dragged me with him.
” let’s eat”, he said
I gently nodded.
I sat down and he sat beside me
“We ruined our dinner date so I created another one”, he said .
I smiled
He picked his fork and I picked my spoon
We ate ..the big fish lay in the tray fried .
” what do you think?”, he asked as he dipped his fork and took an amount of fish into his mouth without looking and it was filled with bone he choked.
.he dipped his hands and brought out the bone .
” sorry . I said.
He nodded.
I shifted the plate to my front and carefully sliced the fish open with my knife just as sir Ryan taught me. I separated the side. I slipped in my fork and drew out the long bone .
Then I cut it in parts and removed all the bones. I placed one part into his plate .
He smiled .
” so are you a nurse in R.D
” no A. G. H. C
” oh cool. So who are you to Ryan.
“Oh I’m a hand nurse for this year’s mission.
” nothing more.
” no
” not even the smallest
” no.
” but about the club
” oh it was just a promise he had to fulfil”, I said
He smiled.
” ok so who are your parents?
” oh we are average people so you won’t know us
” oh that’s nice. Is your mum a nurse too?
” yes a lazy nurse. My lazy matron mom. She is retired for now.
” how about your dad?
” he owns a supermarket.
” nice so what do you love doing?
” well just being happy. I love singing, dancing, reading, watching movies etc.
” wow so when it comes to reading who is your favourite author?
” it’s Chidinma Jerry M. She’s awesome and my best story is “awkward nurse” out of her library.
” my best story from her was “she’s an escort”\ It was later turned into a movie , very interesting.

” so who is your rock star?
” oh Danny Hoffman”. He just thrills me
” have you met him close?
” who am I? I have only seen him from far.
” will you like to meet him?
” omg yes, so much “, I shouted

” so my turn who is the woman in your life?” I asked
” no one. It never actually favoured me. That word called love.
” oh nice. it’s ok .

” ahhh it’s almost the same thing, like that.
I cut a little fish and placed it on my plate. smiling.
” I’m glad you came. Although I don’t know why you came
” can I ask you why wanted me
” I was attracted to your being. Right from the night. Your looks are poisoning but your personality attracted me. You talked a lot, you were so sparky and so attracting, so fun to be with. I knew you would make my days less boring.
I smiled
Soon he was done eating. They cleared out the table
” nice meeting you Clara”. he said
He stood up and walked out and at the same time a maid walked in and cleared the table.
I lay on the bed it’s awesome he didn’t even make any advance at me.
Ryan’s pov

I am in the pool right now. It’s how I feel. I feel hot. I feel annoyed, I can’t even breath, I got so used to Clara that I feel empty without her.
I dived back into the pool. Thank God two surgeries were successful today. I couldn’t concentrate to do more.
I walked out of the pool and walked past her room. I opened the door and looked in. It’s been few hours but it feels like forever. I need her so much. What is going on with me?
I moved my wet hair back and closed her door then ran up to my room…
I wonder what she is doing now. I looked into her room window and imagined her rolling up and down her bed drawing her hair crazily.
My heart was clouded with memories
I remembered the day of our first meeting then. The day I was supposed to meet my hand nurse. This memory made me smile.
I can’t handle this pain. It is increasing each time i don’t see her smiling and waving at me.
I don’t know or understand what’s wrong with me
I can’t concentrate anymore. All I think about is Clara…..
I changed my wet clothes and I fell on my bed. I remrnered our first night together it was a fun night indeed
Just then i remembered Clara’s words and my thoughts went blank.
I have a crush on Liam I want to do this. It’s nothing, it’s just for fun.
I can’t believe Clara could be so carefree. She is not worth my thoughts.
A guy you met in 30minutes and you already had a crush on him. You already wanted him so badly
No need to feel guilty. It is obvious she didn’t do it for the company.
This deal is so important to me but Clara after all we had been through as friends is more important to me.
If she said she couldn’t do it. I would have let go of the contract and held her tight.
I won’t even care about my dad’s ranting. That’s just how much I care
It will make my dad lose faith in me but at least I protected a good friend
I keep imagining Clara in Liam’s arms and it pains my soul. It hurts I don’t know why I imagined such dirty things.
Clara I miss you so much. I don’t understand why. I miss you so much that I’m going crazy….
Anna said she has something to tell me. I wonder what it is .

I walked into the lab to meet Ethan for some test only to find Mrs Tonia stealing some stuffs around the lab store. She slipped something Into her bag and rushed out.
I looked at the part she went through and she just took poison. What is going on?
I was about heading for surgery when she looked left and right and rushed into Anna’s room. This woman always behave psychotic like she is not normal.
I need to check on Anna but I have surgery right now so i rushed into the theater.
Anna’s p.o.v

Why hadn’t Ryan called me that is so unlike him. Tony no longer have free time. There are too much surgeries on him. And good news Is that I can walk now but only a little distance if I walk much my legs will pain
I walked down the spare room of my hospital room and took the steps down to the visitors side where I normally lay. I forgot I left my morning juice open.
I rushed down just to find Tonia in there.
I just changed the password. Why did she keep finding it out
” Anna.
” Tonia, what are you doing here? I asked as I fell on my bed and picked my juice.
“I see you can walk now”, she said
I ignored her and tried sipping the drink just then I realized who I was sitting with.
I looked into her face and she was smiling greatly.
I wonder what’s wrong.
I almost sipped the drink when Tony rushed in panting.
” no Anna the drink is poisoned don’t take it.
” what?

Before I could make any more move, Anna threw the glass to the floor and angrily slapped Tonia .
Tonia stood up and tried slapping her back but I intervened and took her hands.
She withdrew.
” won’t you stop?” Anna shouted.
” no I won’t. Return my position to me .
” listen, I will never make you MD again. Do your worst.
Anna pushed her and she smiled cunningly and rushed out.
I came closer to Anna.
” Tony what’s going on? How does she keep knowing the passwords?
” Anna you need to tell your dad.
” he knows I hate his second wife so he won’t believe me without evidence. I dont like this hospital room anymore.
” it’s ok Anna it’s just until your legs get stronger.
” Tony your house is still open right?
” always. I’m too scared of your being here.
” I will go with you just till I walk perfectly and have enough strength to live with Tonia again.
” it is ok, Anna. Everything will be fine.
I hugged her scared little self. Just then I remembered my surgery. I instantly rushed out. I rushed away in a heavy heat.
Anna sat back in her bed and placed her face into her arms
I rushed into the theater and faced the surgery.
Tonia should just let Anna be.at least Daniella traveled maybe she should let go.

Finally one day has passed I think may be I can wait these two days that remain. I hope he hasn’t forgotten to sign everyday and every document is important… I wonder how that girl is doing now
The cook was already done setting the table, so I sat down and took my coffee. I looked at Clara’s empty seat and it was the most boring coffee I ever took.
Before I thought Clara just slipped herself into my thoughts but now it turns out as if she slipped herself into my being.
I can’t stay a day without her and suddenly needing her like air.
All this is not right. She is just a nurse who lives a carefree life and has a crush on Liam and I’m a doctor who has a girlfriend.
I concentrated on taking my coffee
I have only one surgery today which means I will surely come back early.that is if I can stay in this house alone .Being here makes me miss Clara
The reason I am jealous that clara is with another man is something that I can’t understand
She would just see me as an enemy to her .
I can’t wait to see Clara. I just hope I can’t change towards her or look at her differently .
when she returns because when I see her all I will see is the girl who decided to stay with Liam for 3 days without thinking or pondering on the act. I will see the girl who was crushing on a man she just met….just because he is rich.
But in the same way I will see the girl who helped me get the contract.
But I really wanted to see a decent girl who will reject Liam’s offer and decide not to do it.
I would lose the contract and dad will kill me but you know what …
