I followed moriah. That night was hell. The worse situation to find myself is moriah’s anger. The whole house will always be on fire each time she gets angry. i was warned never to visit my daddy in the Lord, ever again. He too wasn’t allowed to visit me but a father’s love was more stronger than any force put together. My daddy in the Lord did not stop calling. He flooded my imbox with alot of messages filled with reasons why i should come back to the true God.
Moriah told me to block him. i did.
I AQUIRED three extoic brand new toyota jeep. I will be TRAVELLing home with it. I bought a truck load of bags of rice, noodles, vegetable oil. I also bought wrappers, hollandaise Actually. I am going home this time, with a heavy bang.
i did not inform my mother i was coming. I wanted to take them unawares. I patiently waited until brothers returned. Then i came back.
It was a great come back. IMMEDIATELY i got to my compound in the village, my mother sat outside with her friend. i started spraying money on my mother. My younger brother heard the noise and came out. My mother stood up, her mouth was open wide in.shock and DISBELIEF. I kept spraying one.thousand naira notes. Then i changed to spraying her hunderd dollar notes. The shock was too much for my people because they knew, how poor and wretched i was.
That night, my mother called me…….

I WOKE UP THAT MORNING FEELING HIGHLY INTOXICATED. I STARTED SPEAKING IN TONGUES. THE FORCE ON ME WAS HEAVY. MORIAH HAD LEFT. MY MOTHER WAS AT THE DOOR WHEN MORIAH CAME BACK. SHE INSTRUCTED ME TO LAY MY HANDS ON MY MOTHER’S HEAD.
-kelvin, she called me.lay your left hand on your mother’s head once she gets to this place. You are high in power now. Let there be a transfer of spirits. So she won’t be a trouble for us. Do it now.
MAMA WALKED INTO MY ROOM. SHE MET ME SPEAKING IN TONGUES. SHE QUIETLY WITHDRAW AND SHUT THE DOOR IN A BID NOT TO DISTURB ME. MORIAH WAS MAD. I TRIED TO EXPLAIN IT WASN’T MY FAULT. SHE WOULDN’T HEAR THAT.
A DAY TO THE CRUSADE, MORIAH TOLD ME TO MAKE MY PROGRAMME POPULAR, SOMETHING REMARKABLE SHOULD BE DONE. SHE SAID SHE IS GOING TO OUR IGWE’S PALACE TO SNIFF LIFE OUT OF HIS SON. I WILL BE CALLED TO PRAY FOR HIM. HE WILL COME BACK TO LIFE. THIS WILL DRAW CROWD TO THE CRUSADE AND MANY SOULS TO US.
FEW HOURS LATER, THE RUMOUR WAS EVERYWHERE. THE PRINCE JUST SLUMMBED AND DIED. THE NATIVE MOURNING GONG WAS SOUNDED. I WAS OUTSIDE WHEN A YOUNG BOY RUSHED TO CALL ME.

-hmmm, i sighed. but he is dead. we heard the MOURNING gong.

AFTER MUCH PERSUASION, I AGREED TO GO. I SAW MORIAH STANDING . SHE FOLLOWED ME TO THE PALACE. WHEN I GOT TO THE PALACE, SO MANY PASTORS WERE THERE PRAYING. I WAITED TILL THEY WERE DONE. I WALKED UP TO THE IGWE AND MADE OBEISANCE. I INTRODUCED MYSELF.
-igweeee, you will live long. Igwe, i can see the spirit of your son. He is not far away. He is within. Get me a white bowl of water and white clothe. i need white candles too.
ALL THE MATERIALS WERE BROUGHT. TO BE FRANK, THEY WERE FOR MERE SHOW. I COVERED THE PRINCE WITH THE WHITE CLOTHE AND PLACE THE CANDLES OVER HIS HEAD AND UNDER HIS FEET. I STARTED SPEAKING IN THE MARINE TONGUE.
THE PRINCE SNEEZED AND WOKE UP . THERE WAS SHOUTING AND JUBILATION. IGWE GAVE ME LANDS. INDEED, THE INCIDENT DREW SOULS TO THE CRUSADE. ALOT MORE OF MIRACLES WERE PERFORMED. I WAS ENJOYING THE FAME, WEALTH, AND CHANGE OF STATUS I AM GETTING UNTIL THAT NIGHT.
MORIAH CAME BUT COULD NOT ENTER. MAMA WAS OBSERVING HER MIDNIGHT. SHE LATER CAME OUT OF HER ROOM, STOOD BY MY DOOR AND WAS PRAYING. MAMA PRAYED TILL 4AM. MORIAH COULD NOT COME IN. WHEN MAMA CLOSED HER PRAYERS, SHE CAME IN VERY ANGRY.
-kelvin, this is not acceptable. your mother stopped me from being with you. She is an obstacle.By the queen, we want her out of the way.
-i don’t understand i replied.

-how? i asked. i was ALREADY SHIVERING.
