Episode 19

Jendyose got up and sat beside her,
“Dear is there anything I need to know? You were pregnant right? And what happened because I went back to your teacher place but they kept chasing me away that you left them, why? Jendy asked touching her and Christiana heaved and sniffed.
“Yes I was pregnant and when you took me to him he wanted me to abort the baby saying he’s not interested in it, she replied.
“He did that? God that man is a big fool! what then happened? Jendy asked.
“I agreed to it because of the maltreatment his girlfriend gave to me, and he took me to his friend hospital, but I changed my mind and escaped from there.
A kind woman took me in when I wanted serving in her restaurant, she was too too good to me but her son was a thorn to my flesh.
I kept ignoring him not until two days ago he framed me up stealing his mom money and she sent me out of the house.
I wanted coming home but I had labour on the way and I didn’t know myself again, i only woke up today to find out that…….
To find out that Mukasa took my baby girl after I gave birth because he saw me in labour and rushed me to the hospital, Christiana said with her voice cracking and Jendy kept Christy head on her shoulder.
“Its okay dear, we will go to his house and I’ll shout the living h’ll out of him to return back the child.
He did all this to you yet he and that witch keeps pushing me away when i came crying to him begging him to give you back to me, i won’t let him have that baby.
I am here to take Care of you both and he has no right to carry the baby without your consent, Jendy said but Christy shook her head.
“He has relocated, she said.
“Relocated? How and when? Jendy asked.
“Someone told me after his wedding he relocated, sadly he left with my baby and where on earth will I find him now? I’m so doomed! Christiana shouted.
“God forbid you are not doomed, he is the one doomed for what he has done to you, God will severely judge him in this life, Jendy said hugging Christiana to console her and a knock came on the door.
“Who can that be? Jendy asked and got up from Christiana to open the door.
“Good afternoon ma’am, a Lady greeted and Christiana recognized the voice.
“That can’t be, Christiana said and got up to see who is that.
“Yes good afternoon, sorry are you looking for someone? Jendy asked.
“Yes please, I heard you’re the mother of Christiana right? She asked.
“Ma? Christiana asked surprised going out.
“Christiana, oh Thank God you got home safely, please forgive me, Dembe said.
“Please ma come in, Christiana said and she went in and noticed the tummy of Christiana.
“You’ve given birth already? Dembe asked.
“Ermmm mommy she is the kind woman I told you of, and ma, she’s my mother, Christiana introduced.
“Thank you for helping my daughter out, God bless you, Jendyose said.
“Its okay though i messed up, but I’m glad you took her back, this mistake won’t happen again, Dembe said.
“No it won’t dare, Jendy said and Dembe looked at Christy and she heaved.
“Yes ma, same day I left, she replied.
“Oh my goodness what did I do, Christy please forgive me I totally forgot you were due, Dembe pleaded.
“Ma it wasn’t your fault, Christy said.
“It was my fault, I didn’t trust you to know you can’t do that, I was so blind! Dembe shouted rubbing her hair.
“No ma anyone will believe that because it was so clear, it wasn’t your fault believe me, Christy said and Dembe looked at her.
“Where is the baby please? Dembe calmly asked.
“I heard is a girl, she replied.
“You heard? I don’t understand, Dembe said..
“Actually I was so unlucky and God deemed it fit that the bastard who got me pregnant helped me out when I was in labour.
It was one of the terrible and horrible experience of my life because I had a hard labour that I felt I won’t make it.
I was so weak that even when I succeeded, I was unable to see her face, I can only remember hearing a faint voice of my baby crying, my baby was also very weak and everything became blackout to me. I woke up today to know the ba$tard took my child away from me, he took my baby! Christy shouted.
“Who is the ba$tard? Who are you talking about? Dembe asked.
“The idiot that got her pregnant, Jendy replied.
“He did what? After he wanted killing the baby and treated you badly, he had the guts to take the child from you? Dembe asked getting up.
“He didn’t take the child from me, he carried her while I was still unconscious, Christy said.
“And there was no doctor or nurses to stop that? Dembe asked.
“The doctor is his friend, and he said he insisted to carry his child knowing I have no place to stay and I won’t take care of the baby, Christy said.
“I think i have heard enough already, take me to the useless hospital and they will get it hot from me! Dembe shouted taking her bag.
“I’m coming with you, please let me change up, Jendy said.
“No problem then, Dembe said sitting down beside Christiana.
“This wouldn’t have happened if i didn’t send you out, but I promise I will get that idiot and he will return your child to you, She said.
“Thank you so much ma, Christy said.
“Don’t mention, Ochen sends his greetings though he wanted coming with me but i asked him to stay back. Why didn’t you tell me you’ve always been assaulted by Bale? Dembe asked and Christiana looked at her.
“Who told you that ma? She asked.
“Ochen did, if you didn’t want to tell me, there was Ochen who was asking you but you kept denying and pretending to be okay, why Christiana? Dembe asked.
“Ma i didn’t want to cause any trouble, i was scared of what you and Ochen may do to Bale. I am a stranger and i didn’t want the story to be because of me you have a fight with Bale, she replied.
“Still I should have made things right, I had the right to know for you are my guest, but you kept it to yourself.
Next time such a thing happens, speak out and damn the consequences, keeping silent won’t help matters at all alright, Dembe said and Christy nodded and her mom came out.
“okay I’m done let’s go, Jendy said and they left the house to the hospital……………..

Cynthia already arrived at Mukasa aunt place with the few cheap things she picked on the way for the baby.
“This are certainly not shopping things for the baby, His aunt said checking the bag.
“I know aunty but you see it was sudden and there is no money for now, when the money comes I’ll make sure i do the proper shopping. But for the mean time, she can manage this right? Cynthia asked..
“Yea sure, have you heard from Mukasa? she asked.
“Yea he’s on his way, she replied.
“That’s good to know, his aunt said.
“Okay I’ll go keep it in the room then, Cynthia said taking the bags to the room and angrily threw it on the bed.
“You called my effort cheap like you know how annoying it is to shop for a bastard, she said and her phone began to ring.
“Yea hello, she picked the strange number..
“Hello girlfriend, why are you not picking up my calls anymore? A male voice came on phone.
“What do you want from me? Urghhh! Look here i am married okay just leave me alone! She said slowly.
“Hey I know that okay, but i miss you and i couldn’t get what happened between us that night off my head, he said.
“You’re so stupid! She shouted and dropped the call and heaved.
‘Gosh won’t you leave me alone? Is it not enough I’m carrying your baby just leave me alone! She said and switched off the phone when he called again…………
