Episode 53.
Pius and Mukasa heard everything from the doctor mouth themselves when they arrived in the hospital,
“If so that’s simple, the girl is with us and we can easily take whatever samples you need from her, Pius said.
“Fine you can bring it tomorrow, the doctor said.
“Thanks, the cop said and they got up and left his office.
“I think we are done today right? Pius asked the cops.
“Yes, tomorrow we will begin again, a cop replied him..
“Goodnight then, I have a ride ahead of me and again, keep Catherine safe, Pius said and left leaving Mukasa with the cops.
“Something is still missing here, what ki.lled my wife? Is it Him? Mukasa asked referring to Pius.
“Don’t say that, I know you’re mad at him but he wasn’t aware this happened either, and we are working on that case, the cop replied him. Mukasa looked at them for a while and was about to leave without saying anything.
“Wait, when are you coming to give the samples for the test? A cop stopped him.
“I’m working and my boss won’t understand with me, a strip of my hair can do right? He asked and they nodded.
He rubbed his hand on his head and handed the hairs to them,
“If I’m chanced tomorrow I’ll come see how things are going on here, i have to go now, Mukasa said and left…..

Mukasa got home and met Regina awake watching the television,
“Welcome daddy, she greeted but he ignored her and went to his room..
Regina swallowed and locked the door wondering what’s wrong With him.
She heard sounds in the room and ran to see Mukasa throwing things around in the room,
“Daddy! She shouted and he unknowingly threw something behind him that landed Regina on her forehead and she was wounded.
“Arrrgghhh daddy! Regina cried touching her face and he turned and looked at her.
“Who asked you to come here? Get out of my sight! Get out! He shouted and Regina ran out while he sat on the floor crying.
She quickly took a cotton wool she do see Cynthia use on Catherine when she’s injured and pressed it on the wound crying not knowing what next to do.
She switched off the television and went to bed crying herself to sleep……

Achen already saw the news and got more scared where she was, she took her phone that night, switched it on and called her brother.
“Achen! Where the hell are you! He shouted when he picked up.
“Sorry brother I had to go, she replied.
“Do you know what you’ve done? You are complicating matters and they will think you’re involved that’s why you ran away, he said.
“They have no right to accuse me because I have my own reasons, I left because he cheated on me and hurt me, any law will understand with me, I didn’t do anything wrong, she said.
“Still sister I took care of things for you, he said.
“I know and I appreciate but I couldn’t stand it, any news from the girl yet? She asked.
“Yes, she was found and guess what, she mentioned you and to them she recognized me, he replied.
“Mentioned me for what? What did I do? Achen asked.
“She saw you holding a gun in their house before her mother died, you may be questioned by the police that’s why I didn’t want you to go so they won’t think you ran away and make you a suspect, he replied.
“What should I do now? She asked.
“Be wise and go back home, I need you to be there to tell me everything going on in case I’ll be involved in it, he replied.
“Why are you involved? Who else saw your face apart from Cynthia and her daughter? She asked.
“The taxi guy, he replied.
“What! Do you know what that means if he comes out as a witness? She asked..
‘You don’t need to tell me, That’s why i need you to go back, clear your name and get information for me.
Your husband suspects me already because that day he knew I was with you and I am the only one you can get a gun from, probably he knew that’s what you used in threatening his mistress.
And also if his daughter can describe me, that will be a problem but i can manage that, Akello said and Achen paced around worried.
“This is all my fault, if going back will help get you away from my trouble then I will. I’ll be there tomorrow, sorry for making you worry and putting you through this bro, she said.
“Its alright, as long as your safe, he said.
“Good night, I’ll call you when I get home tomorrow, she said and dropped the call and heaved sitting down……

Pius had to lodge in a hotel for the night, he got himself a wine on the way and drank all by himself as he thought of everything that has happened.
He took his phone and dialed Achen number but it was switched off.
He sighed and took Cynthia phone which was handed to him, he looked at it sadly and shook his head when he saw her lying lifeless in the mor.tuary.
“I’m sorry Cynthia, its all my fault and it cost your life. Who ever that is behind this, I don’t care if its Achen or my in law, I must seek justice for your de.ath Cynthia, I’m sorry that is all i can do, and i promise to take care of our daughter. I wont hide her anymore, she’ll be with her family, he said and gulped down the wine…….

The next day Mukasa went to Regina room and met her sleeping, he shook his head, hanged his bag and left for his work.
Regina woke up with a fierce headache and she noticed the wool she place last night was stuck dry in the face of the wound.
She checked the time and saw she was almost late for school, knowing she had to walk down there, she wore her uniform without bathing or eating, and left for school.
She arrived late and quietly sat down while her teacher looked at her,
“Regina on your feet now, she said and Regina stood up.
“Good morning madam, Regina greeted.
“Morning and You’re 15minutes late with an unkept uniform, uncombed hair on a Monday morning. Is this what you do at your former school huh? She asked and Regina looked at her classmates who were about laughing at her.
“I’m sorry madam, Regina said.
“Where’s your assignment i gave for the weekend? She asked and Regina sluggishly opened her bag, brought it out and took it to her.
Her teacher got it and opened the book to check it out, she looked back at Regina whose faced was bowed and shook her head.
“What’s this Regina? Are you playing with me? She asked.
“Sorry madam but i couldn’t do it, she replied shaking.
“Are you this du.mb? You are not fit to be in this class because you’re stupid and i hate stupid children like you! Go kneel down there, I’ll attend to you when I’m done, now! She shouted on her and Regina quickly went to the corner she pointed and knelt down.
“Your hands up, your eyes close and your mouth open, do that quick! Her teacher added and Regina quickly did that which the class laughed at the sight of her.
“That’s good, now concentrate children, the teacher said to the class.
Christiana who was in the next class heard everything and was so furious,
“Where are you going to? Stop interfering in someone else class, let her be, her head teacher said when Christy wanted going out.
“But she’s wrong, she’s tormenting that girl and making her more……… “Please Christy face the kids and leave them alone, the head teacher cuts in and Christiana had no choice than stay back…..
