Episode 57
Mukasa slowly got home and checked the time,
“She’ll soon be back, he said and went to the kitchen and saw Regina didn’t eat the noodles he prepared for her.
“What is wrong with this girl? Does she know how I got the money to prepare what she just rejected! He shouted and covered the lid of the pot and laid weakly on the bed.
“Aunty, will uncle be angry with you? Regina asked when they came out from the cab.
“I can take care of uncle okay don’t worry about that, so where is your door? Christy replied and she pointed.
“Okay let’s just hope your daddy isn’t back yet, where’s the key? Christy asked.
“I don’t always lock the door, Regina replied and opened up and they walked in..
Christiana looked around and nodded,
“Its nice, Christy said and kept the door blinds down but Regina closed the door back.
“Its dirty, since mom left no one has been doing the chores, I can only sweep, Regina said.
“But you’re too young for this, you know what, just go Change up first and we’ll eat what I bought for us so we will start teaching, Christy said and Regina happily went in.
Christiana sat down using her eyes around and it fell on a wallet, she stood up and got in on the other sofa and slowly opened it.
The picture she saw made her almost fell, and she went backwards and hit herself on the center table.
“Mukasa, she whispered and saw no picture frames on the wall to clear her doubt.
“Regina, she called out.
“I’m coming aunty, Regina answered inside and Mukasa who was sleeping heard the noise.
He opened his eyes and sat down rubbing his head knowing Regina is back,
“But who is she calling aunty? He asked when he heard her reply and slowly came down from the bed.
Regina ran out and Christiana showed her the wallet,
“Its dad own, that means dad is at home, Regina said before Christiana could ask who owns it.
“Dad own? You mean Mukasa is your father? Christiana asked.
“Regina! They heard Mukasa called coming out and he met the shock of his life.
“welcome daddy, sorry I didn’t know you were at home, Regina fearfully said looking at him but his whole gaze was on Christiana.
“You ba$tard! So you’re alive huh? Nice to see you Mukasa! Christiana said looking back at him..
“What…. What are you doing here? He asked and made a step.
“Small world isn’t it? But I guess you owe me something, where is my daughter? She asked.
“What are you talking about? You ran away remember and I haven’t seen you since then so stop asking me rubbish, he replied.
“You really think I’m still that teenager you could fool huh? You think i don’t know you took me to your friend hospital and helped me give birth then you ran away with my daughter when I was unconscious huh! Christiana shouted.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about now get out of my noise! He shouted at her back.
Ochen who was still waiting outside was having a bad feeling, he came out and walked up to the door he saw them entered and heard noises inside.
“I am not leaving this place after looking for you years now to tell me where my daughter is, I won’t leave this place until you tell me where my daughter is else I’ll get you arrested, Christiana said and Mukasa began to laugh.
The door opened and Ochen walked in and Christiana eyes bulged out,
“Ochen? She whispered.
“What’s going on here? He asked facing Mukasa and ignored her.
“Who the h’ll are you and what is this in my house? Mukasa angrily said and Ochen smiled going to him with his hand above his belt like he wanted bringing out a gvn.
Christiana got scared with the look of his eyes and dragged the confused Regina to her side,
“So will you start talking now or do you need something to kick you up? Ochen said to his face and Mukasa went backwards.
“I told you I don’t know what’s she’s talking about, maybe a street man or a rich couple took her baby or something, she can’t remember anything and she’s blaming me, Mukasa said and Ochen nodded.
“Is that so? Or should I give you one last chance? Make sure you don’t blow it up because you’ll take it to your grave, Ochen pinning Mukasa on the wall and he looked at Christiana holding Regina.
“Well, look like you know it already, why are you still asking? he asked.
“I know what? What are you talking about? Christiana asked breathing hard and she closed her eyes.
‘The girl you’re holding is your daughter, Regina is your lost child, he dropped and Christiana let go of Regina shocked.
“You mean? She muttered going down weakly and Ochen looked at her sadly and brought out a handkerchief rather cleaning his face. Mukasa was angry he when he saw he didn’t hold a gun after all his threats,
“So can I go now? After all she’s my daughter and I took care of her didn’t I? This is something you wouldn’t have given to her and I had to take the chance to rescue her, he said and Christiana looked at him, got up and slapped him hard.
“How did you take care of my daughter? What kind of life did you give to her? I know i was poor and helpless then but I had something you don’t have, a heart and a conscience for who i love. You tormented my daughter and made her back ward in education because she couldn’t concentrate. I saw my daughter suffer and felt pity for her, little did i know it was blood calling on us. And you stand here to say you rescued my daughter, rescued her from what when you can’t even feed her you bastard! Christiana screamed on him and Ochen held her.
“I had the very best interest for her when I carried her away, but life took a negative turn on me, its not my fault! He shouted.
“Shut up and don’t try to say a word! You didn’t Care how bad I’ll feel when you didn’t give me the chance to see my daughter face, you’re evil! Christiana screamed out.
“Aunty I’m sorry you’re angry because of me, Regina slowly said behind her, and Christiana turned and ran to her hugging her.
“No baby I’m not angry because of you, I’m not, she said crying on her while Ochen looked at Mukasa.
“Don’t come looking for her, else you’ll be facing me, Ochen said to him.
“What! You mean you’re taking her away from me? Look here I’ve lost my job, my wife, about to lose Catherine and now Regina? Do you realize you’ll be taking my life? Mukasa said.
“Did you also realize you took someone life when you ran away with the only source of hope for her? Ochen asked.
‘Please i beg you don’t do this, she’s my only family and taking her will be taking my life, Mukasa said.
“You don’t even have a life a begin with when all you’re living for is only to frustrate and inflict pains on people, even your own daughter. Then it will be Better if you will lose it all, for you don’t deserve to be called a human, you’re an animal! Christiana said with her eyes red holding Regina.
“Regina please don’t go, daddy loves you right? I’m sorry for everything but i didn’t mean to and you know it, I love you please don’t leave daddy, Mukasa said with a pleading face, And Christiana turned Regina face sway from him.
“Regina Mommy loves you more, she loves you very much, Christiana said to her.
“Are you my mommy aunty? Regina asked and she nodded.
“I am not just your mommy, I’ll also be your friend. He took you away from me baby, please come with me, Christiana said and Regina smiled.
“Thank you mommy, Regina said and hugged her and Ochen held Mukasa showing Mukasa his fist when he attempted to grab her.
“Live with it, she’s no longer yours and you have no right to go near her ever again. You should be thankful I didn’t punch your face, but i wont hesitate to blow your head when i see you near them. Common lets go, Ochen said taking them out while Mukasa looked at them weak.
“No no no no! He screamed throwing things around him and sat on the floor with his hands on his head……………..

Pius arrived at the station and met them questioning Akello. Initially he didn’t want to say anything but when Pius joined in the interrogation, It became so serious that Pius saw the fear in Akello eyes,
“I still insist, I have nothing to do with her death neither have i seen such a person before. All this sht is happening because of a cheating husband who didn’t only hurt his wife by he’s dragging her family down to the mud! Akello shouted.
“With due respect sir, we have no business if he cheated or not, we are only concentrating on the murder here. You were seen remember? A cop said.
“By who a small girl who doesn’t even know me? Akello asked back and they smiled.
“Let’s believe she’s a small girl, but what will you say if another witness is an adult? Bring him in, a cop said and the taxi man was ushered in and Akello weakly looked at him.
“I’m sorry, but i saw something, and i also saw the way you damaged my taxi, The cabman said and Akello looked at the cops with his eyes red knowing he’s bursted!
“I won’t take this, i need my lawyer! Akello shouted.
