The next day Christiana was woken up with her phone ringing, she stretched her hand with her sleepy eyes and picked it up without looking who was calling,
“Hello, good morning, she said.
“Morning dear, looks like someone was still sleeping, Bale said.
“Yea, how was your rest? She asked.
“Lonely, the house was so quiet and I hope you’re coming back today right? He asked.
“Bale, you’ve always been staying alone, why are you saying this now? She asked.
“Will you blame me if I’ve come to enjoy your stay over here? Sorry if you got upset, he said.
“Is alright, and yes I’ll be leaving here in the afternoon, she said.
“Whatever you say, my regards to mom and I’ll be waiting, he said.
“Yea bye, she said and dropped the call rubbing her eyes.
She got down from the bed and saw her mom frying in the kitchen,
“Mom you should have called me nah, good morning, she greeted.
“Morning, and why should I wake you up? What do you think I am doing? Jendy asked.
“I should be the one doing this not you, okay let me take over from here, Christy said.
“Please go brush your mouth its smelling, Jendy said laughing.
“Jesus Christ! mommy that was too much, bye, Christy said with a frown and left the kitchen……….

Pius who made himself drunk last night rubbed his eyes and saw himself lying on the sofa.
“Urghhhh! He said with his head aching looking around him.
“Princess, he called out but heard no voice.
He staggered to his daughter room and opened the door but found it empty.
“Achen! Princess! He shouted and ran to his room but didn’t find them..
He ran outside and met the gateman,
“Have you seen my family? He asked.
“Sir they drove out late in the night, madam took Princess and they carried bags too, the gateman replied and Pius fiercely held him..
“And you let them go you idi®t! Pius shouted and ran inside and kept calling Achen but her line was switched off.
“Arrghhh! He shouted and called her brother.
“Yes Pius…….. “Cut it, where is my wife? Pius interrupted him..
“Are you out of your senses? What nonsense question is that? He asked.
“Please I beg you, if you know where my family is please I need to know, I woke up this morning and saw they have gone. Please help me, Pius said almost crying.
“Well that’s what you get when you were busy cheating on your wife despite she stayed serving you as a good wife and mother to your child. Well, I don’t know where she is, he said and dropped the call on him and hissed.
“Honey what’s that? His wife asked.
“Its nothing, he replied.
“Alright, breakfast is ready, she said.
“No not now, he said..
“Why? Won’t you go to church today? She asked.
“I said i don’t want to, just leave me alone please, he shouted and his wife looked at him and slowly left.
“Achen why did you leave? He asked himself and called her number but it was switched off.
He covered his head on his palm and stood up pacing around worried about her….

Achen cried the whole night and hated Pius for everything he has done, and the thought of her best friend dead broke her more. She went out and met Pius drunk, she went in and took her bags, arranged her daughter bags and took them to the car.
She carried the sleeping Princess and drove off dead in the night to start afresh with her daughter……..

Regina woke up on the sofa and felt pains on her neck.
“Daddy? She called out and went to his room but saw his room empty.
“He came back and left again, she said and went to the kitchen and saw a pot of noodles.
She went back and sat down sadly on the sofa and peeped outside to see her neighbours going to church with their families.
She began to cry on her own knowing she’s just alone in the world, as she cuddled herself back on the sofa………….

Pius angrily called Cynthia number again but got no reply, then the news popped up on the screen.
His eyes met with Catherine face on the screen and he immediately increased the volume to know what’s she’s doing on the hospital bed.
He quickly got the number on the screen and called immediately,
“Hello Hello, he nervously said.
“Yes who Is speaking? A man voice was heard.
“Sorry I just saw the news, I’m Pius by name and the little lost girl is my daughter Catherine, please where can I get her? Pius asked and he was told where he can get her.
“Thank you, I’ll be there, he said and rushed in to change up.
He drove down there still calling Cynthia number at intervals but she was picking up,
“What’s wrong? Cynthia can never let go of her daughter, and what is Catherine doing there to begin with? He asked himself confused as he began to feel dizzy with all that is going on.
He got to the hospital and quickly met the cops who questioned him about Catherine,
“Her mother name is Cynthia, Pius replied.
“Your wife? A cop asked.
“Ermm no, actually she’s married to another man same with me, but I’m the one taking responsibility of my daughter and we are still close, he replied.
“Then where is her mother? Another cop asked.
“I honestly have no idea because she’s not picking up My calls, please can I see my daughter? She alone can answer the questions, he said.
“She was only able to tell us her name, maybe she can tell you more details as her father since she’s ignoring our questions, Let’s go, a cop said and Pius was taken to the room she was.
Pius walked in and immediately Catherine saw him, she turned her face the other side.
“Baby what’s wrong? Is me what happened to you? He asked turning her face to him.
“Leave me alone, you abandoned i and mommy, she said.
“No baby who told you that? I heard you were sick and when i came to see you, you were in school, he said.
“And i fell ill again the next day, mom got a nurse for me and she kept calling you but you didn’t pick up. Instead of you coming, you sent your wife to ki.ll my mommy, she pointed a gvn at my mommy, you all are bad people! Catherine shouted and his eyes bulged out.
“When was that? You mean this happened yesterday? He asked.
“Yes, and mommy had to run away with me but a bad man followed us. He stopped our taxi and hit mommy on her stomach and pushed us in.
Mommy couldn’t talk to me anymore, and he pointed a gun at me and told me not to shout else he will ki.ll me. Then he stopped and took me away from mommy and kept me beside him in the front seat, then he slowed down and pushed me away from the car and left with mommy, she said and began to cry.
Pius hugged her and looked at the cops who were listening and penning things on a jotter.
“I am so sorry about this, daddy had no idea this happened okay I’m sorry, he said.
“Where is my mommy? Did the bad man return her? Kate asked.
“Baby I will find your mom okay, just relax so you’ll get well soon, Pius said and pecked her and left the room which the cops followed him outside.
“Where is your wife? A cop asked.
‘My wife has nothing to do with this, he said.
“You heard it yourself what that girl said, a cop said.
“I did, and my wife was at home with me all day and my wife has no possession of a gvn. She’s still a kid and she doesn’t know anything, but I’ll believe the part of her mom abduction, because i can sense she’s in danger, he said.
“Still, we want to question your wife, a cop said.
“What are you saying? That Is my daughter and I have more interest in her more than you do, do you think i will hide anything from you? Don’t forget she was sick and she didn’t know what she saw when she saw my wife with her, besides they are friends. But one thing i know is my wife can’t ki.ll and she was at home with me.
Instead of wasting your Time to question my wife, i think we should first find Cynthia she is the one to tell us the real truth. Please take my wife out of this mess, he said and a cop shook his head still not believing him.
“But you said your wife was with you the whole day, why was she there? A cop asked and Pius looked at them and got into Catherine room.
“Baby, did you see my wife when your mom was taken? He asked and she shook her head.
“And was your mom taken immediately after you saw his wife? A cob asked and she shook her head again.
“She left before mom decided to run away with me, she replied.
“Thank you, I’ll come back for you okay, Pius said and left they room and the cops looked at him.
“So, do you think my wife is part of this? Please take her out of this, He said and a cop smiled.
“Let’s not be too sure of this, we will investigate on this matter and If your wife Is involved in this, you know the law, the cop said and left and Pius heaved…………
