Episode 76
Akello wife followed her husband out and saw him covering his head on the wall,
“What are you doing? She asked pulling him away from the wall.
“But you know its wrong, that’s my sister I’m betraying here, he said.
“So you will put yourself in this mess for her sake and forever hold the shame? Are you thinking about your family at all? Are we even important to you? She asked.
“You know the truth, but I can’t stand seeing my sister going to jail pregnant when I did it, he said.
“No she made you do whatever you did, so why carrying it all on your head? Honey please let this go and be strong, you’ve done enough already and don’t punish us for your crimes. Achen will be fine, She said touching him.
“And will she ever forgive me? He asked.
“I don’t know but time will tell, let’s go in, she replied and held him in while the rest heads were bowed in the room.
Achen sobs alone was heard in the room as Pius and the others sat quietly,
“But did you realize she was pregnant when you ki lled her? If you didn’t pity the life in her to spare her, why are you begging for pity? A cop finally voiced out but Achen only shook her head.
“I’m very sorry, there’s nothing we can do to help you, there are so many witnesses against you that points you to be the murderer of Late Cynthia Muk…… “Please just Late Cynthia, stop calling my name to such a shameless bitch, she wasn’t my wife, or better still name her after her man friend, Mukasa interrupted the officer and Pius rolled his eyes.
“Okay okay no problem, so that’s it. Everything will be heard in court in 5 days time, I wish you luck, The officer continued.
“No please I didn’t do it, please I need to see my daughter, Achen cried but they left the room one by one except Mukasa who just sat looking at her.
“If you didn’t do it, then who did? Mukasa asked.
“I don’t know either, but I didn’t kill Cynthia I swear, Achen replied.
“But you wanted her dead, remember you always say whoever takes what you have will taste the power of your sting. You said so many aggressive words and I could feel you were up to no good but you shunned me out of it, now what? Mukasa asked.
“I agree I was violent and wanted her dead, but my hands for sure isn’t stained with blood, she replied.
“Well, Whoever did it, did a good work though, Mukasa said and left the room too and Achen weakly laid down crying……………

Ochen arrived at the hospital with James to see Bale, but he was restricted not to go in,
“Why what’s wrong? Ochen asked.
“He’s so violent now and we are not too sure if your presence will make it worst or not, a nurse there said.
“So…so…so…what I’m I going to do? Ochen asked confused.
“Just hang around please, the nurse replied and hurried off.
“I can’t still believe this, at least Bale was very good looking like a sane person, who will believe it was a mad person walking about on nice clothes? James said and Ochen looked at him.
“Sorry, but why not inform your dad about his condition, after all he was the one who released him at first saying nothing was wrong with him, I think he should come see him now, James said.
“I don’t want to see or have any word with that man called my father, I don’t know him, Ochen said.
“But he knows Bale and Bale is close to him, you can’t carry all of this on your shoulder, he need to be here and you have to let him know, James insisted.
“James please will you leave me alone! I don’t want to see him! Ochen shouted.
“Fine, I’ll trace and tell him myself, he needs to come carry the cross of his beloved son so you’ll be at peace, I won’t stand and watch you killing yourself slowly, James said and walked away while Ochen weakly covered his face with his palms…………..

Christiana arrived at Gulu with Regina, Jendyose who was busy running around to get things set for their arrival came out from the house with a mop,
“Grandma! Regina shouted and ran to her while stood confused until she was hugged by Regina.
“Oh my goodness, Regina is this you? Is this my grandchild? Jendy asked holding her and looked at Christiana who slowly approached them smiling.
“Yes mom, you’re not looking bad, Christy said and Jendy looked at Regina and carried her.
“Dear lord thank you, Jendy said crying on her.
“mom don’t start let’s go in first, Christy said taking her in.
Jendyose didn’t leave Regina one step and Christiana carefully told her all that happened and how she met with Bale after her friend disappointed her.
“And you kept all this from me Christy? Jendy asked.
“I know you would have been worried but I was determined to stay when i saw the opportunity to be in the capital, if I had left I wouldn’t have found Mukasa nor my daughter. Somehow I’m grateful for all that happened, Christiana replied and looked at the sleeping Regina in Jendy arms.
“So finally i am carrying the child I threw you out with? It was all my fault this happened, if I had accepted you from the start this wouldn’t have happened, Jendy said.
“Mom please enough of that, I think that was my own adventure and my own pay for the sin I committed. But its all over now, everyone is fine and Mukasa will come visiting any day from now, Christy said.
“I don’t want to see him, Jendy said.
“Mom please he’s changed now and he also had a taste of all he did to us, he has paid for it and let’s forget about all that has happened for a better tomorrow. Don’t forget, he is Regina father and we can’t change that, Christy said.
“So he’s going to take her away? Jendy asked.
“No mom, she belongs to us and he’s okay with it, She replied.
“He better be, and how are you Christiana? You don’t look well to me, And you staying with Bale were you both in a relationship? Jendy asked and Christy heaved.
“No mom, I took him as a friend but he wasn’t after all. I’m sitting here with mixed feelings, I’m kind of happy I am home now with you but……… Christy said and heaved.
“But what? Jendy asked.
“Ochen, I saw him and he was the one who stood fighting for me, She replied.
“And what about him? Jendy asked.
“He said he loves me, she replied.
“And? Don’t you feel the same way too? I saw it already years ago and i don’t still understand why you two are still dragging it till now. If you should ask me, I choose Ochen over others, Jendy said and Christy sadly nodded.
“So you two should stop playing around and face what you both feel for each other, you have my blessings, Jendy continued and Christy smiled, stood up and hugged her.
“Thanks mom, Christy whispered.
“Its okay dear, I’ll go keep my angel on the bed to sleep, Jendy said…………

Ochen leaned his head on the wall and weakly slept off while staying with Bale when he was calm.
He heard a tap on his face and he opened his eyes to see James back after he left.
“You should go home and sleep, James said and Ochen cleaned his face.
“What’s the time? Ochen asked.
“Past 3p.m, James replied and Ochen nodded.
“Some one wants to see you, James slowly said and the door opened.
‘I should have known, Ochen said and stood up to leave when he saw his father walked in.
“Ochen please wait and hear him out, James said.
“Stay out of this James, you know nothing! Ochen shouted on him and angrily looked at his father.
“Ochen please can we talk? He asked.
“We have nothing to talk about, if you are here to see Bale fine, but please stay clear from me and talk to Bale if you want, Ochen said and walked out while James sadly looked at his father.
“Its okay, I’ll try to talk to him at home, James said.
“No please don’t so you won’t have a problem with him, I’ll do it alone, he said and went over to Bale who was sleeping with chains on him.
“My son, I’m so sorry, he sadly said controlling himself as a man when he saw the condition of Bale.
Bale weakly opened his eyes and saw his father,
‘Bale, how are you feeling? His father asked but he laid still saying nothing while James began to get scared.
“Ermmmmmm sir i think i should go bring the doctor, I’m not too strong to hold him down you know if he starts to display, I’ll be back, James said and ran away from the room………..
