Episode 67.
They arrived in the church and the pastor was surprised to see strange faces coming in with Mukasa,
“Please I hope there’s no problem? The pastor asked when he saw Mukasa swollen lips.
“No problem sir, we are actually here because of Mukasa, you see there’s something we need to know, Ochen replied.
“Is that so? Please sit down, the pastor said and they all sat down while Mukasa bowed his head.
“Is Regina truly kidn apped? Mukasa finally voiced out.
“Yes, that was today when Christiana wanted traveling with her to see her mom, Ochen replied.
“I have no idea this happened, Mukasa said..
“What exactly did Bale tell you when he came to see you? Ochen asked and James got up slowly and slept on the floor quietly and Ochen smiled shaking his head and faced Mukasa back.
“He didn’t say much, he only said he’s not comfortable Christiana is bringing an extra mouth to his house when she is not done feeding herself. He wanted giving me some amount of money to take Regina away and start a new life with her where Christiana won’t find us, but I refused, Mukasa replied.
“Gosh that brother of mine is evil, Ochen said.
“He’s your brother? Mukasa asked and he nodded.
“What is going to happen now? I mean how can I rescue my daughter from him? Mukasa asked.
“I have no idea, but what if you meet with him and tell him you’ve changed your mind, and you’re ready to take Regina away as he wanted, Ochen said.
“Bad idea, James replied where he was sleeping.
“But why? Ochen asked him..
“You know your brother Ochen, what if he suspects something? Remember he is also aware Mukasa is the suspect he can do anything, James replied.
“Is my case that serious? You mean the cops are looking for me?Mukasa asked.
“Yes, who knows if someone else is looking for you, especially when you are the only one who can Bale down because he discussed this with you first, James said.
“You’re right bro, Bale may be looking for you too, Ochen said.
“Then what I’m I going to do? Remain here? Mukasa asked.
“I think so, till every where get calm, Ochen replied and Mukasa worriedly rubbed his head.
“Let me have your number please, Mukasa said and Ochen called it out for him. Mukasa called him instantly and Ochen saved it.
“Ermmm I’m sorry for your mouth, I thought you were also involved in this, Ochen apologized.
“No its okay, and how is Christiana? Did you get to talk with her? Mukasa asked.
“Yea I did, and she’s worried sick for her child, all mothers will, Ochen replied and Mukasa nodded.
” can we go now please? I beg you James said and Ochen smiled.
“Okay, we have to go now, Ochen said getting up and shook hands with the pastor.
“Thank you, and please give me update about Regina. And what if I tell the cops about Bale to free myself at least? I know I’m innocent but please can you call off the cops from looking for me? I’m feeling like a wanted criminal now, Mukasa said.
“Don’t worry about it, we will do something about that, Ochen said.
“Sure I’ll call my uncle immediately we get home, you will only be needed by the cops to make a statement against Bale, James said and Mukasa heaved a sigh.
“Thank God, Mukasa said.
“besides the cops is aware of Bale already and tomorrow they will go to the kidnappers residence to rescue her, I pray it goes well, Ochen replied.
“It will it will, the pastor said.
“Alright, see you tomorrow then, Mukasa said and Ochen helped James back on his feet.
“Good night, The pastor said to them and they left the church……..

The next morning Bale came out of his room to have a glass of water but saw Christiana about going out,
“Where are you going to this early? He asked.
“To go look for my daughter, what I’m I doing here? She asked and Bale rolled his eyes.
“By this time? And where and how will you start looking for her? He asked.
“I don’t know but i have to do something. Once I left it for the cops and they couldn’t do anything about it, I won’t make the same mistake again, She replied.
“Okay okay I’ll go with you, I know it’s morning but its too early for you to go out on your own, just give me some few minutes I’ll join you, Bale said.
“I can do this on my own, you don’t have to worry, she said.
“Listen to me, I’ll be out soon, Bale said and went in while Christy heaved and sat down.
Bale went to his room and sat down angry and his phone began to ring,
“Yes good morning, he picked up.
“There’s nothing good about the morning, this girl is sick and i don’t know how to take care of children, one of them said.
“She’s sick? But why what did you guys do to her? Bale asked standing up.
“What kind of question is that? She has been crying and shouting all day without eating, why won’t she fall sick? They asked back.
“look it will just be fever, see what you can do about her and I’ll try to come when I’m chanced, Bale said.
“Is that all? What should i do about her? He asked.
“Just calm her temperature, it wont be anything serious okay, I’ll call you back, Bale said and dropped the call.
“You’re bringing me nothing but hard time! He shouted throwing his phone angrily…….
Mukasa left the church that morning to his house to pick few of his belongings without the knowledge of his pastor.
He got in without his neighbors seeing him, but unknown to him the guys Bale settled already arrived there in the night to track him.
“Someone just got inside the house, one of them made a call to their hideout.
“Take it slow, behave like the cops and get him, their head said.
“Okay, he said and dropped the call.
They dressed like the police and came out from the car they were and knocked on the door.
Mukasa who already put his few belongings in a little bag heard the knock and got scared.
He went to the window and peeped and saw it was the police. He covered the window blind and called Ochen,
“Hello Mukasa good……”the cops are in my house to take me, I thought you said you will do something about it? Mukasa interrupted him.
“You mean you’re at home now? Ochen asked.
“Yes, i came to pick some few stuffs and hurry back to the church. But why should the police be here this early? Mukasa asked.
“Wait, are they really the cops? James asked.
“Sure, I’ll open up now, please do something, Mukasa said and James called up his uncle immediately.
“Hold on first, Ochen told Mukasa while the knock became more stronger on the door.
“Don’t let us break in Mukasa, give yourself up, They said outside and James uncle picked up.
“Uncle sorry to call this early, James said.
“Nah I’m already awake with my boys, he said.
“Really? Some police men are outside Mukasa house now to take him, i thought the cops were called off? James asked.
“That’s not possible, no cops can be there at past 5a.m, his uncle said.
“Uncle should he give himself? James asked.
“No no no, they are fake, Christ! Tell him to escape from there if he can, we are coming over! His uncle shouted.
“Mukasa can you hear me? Don’t give yourself to them they are fake, safe yourself! Ochen shouted on phone and they began using the on legs on the door outside.
“Help somebody help me! Mukasa began screaming inside.
“Shit! The guys outside said and began opening fire in the house……………
