CHAPTER 4
LIAM’S MANSION
Liam stepped into his livingroom with Michelle and May was already waiting in the livingroom.
She stood up as soon as she saw them walk in and her eyes assessed the other feminine he brought along.
” Welcome home.” She greeted but Liam walked past her like a breeze.
She stared at Mitchell.
” And who’s this!” May said, folding her hands feeling greatly jealouse.
” Who do you think is who?” Liam said stopping in his tracks.
” I’m supposed to be concerned to see another woman in our home.” She said, pouting an angry lip.
Mitchell moved forward.
” What do you take me for?. A trash?” Mitchell asked.
” I never said you were trash!” May glared back at her.
” Better then.” Mitchell said.
Liam turned around and faced May.
” Take her to the guest room and make her feel comfortable. I’ll be in my room, Goodnight.” He said and stepped away.
” You still haven’t told me who she is?” May snorted aloud.
” Am his new girlfriend.” Mitchell whined close to her ears making May palm her ears quickly.
” Huh!. Girlfriend?!. B..but he’s married to me” She said touching her chest.
” Sorry, Mrs wifey. But it seems he lost interest in you” Mitchell laughed and May glared at her.
” You better change your mind and leave now or else this house won’t be compatible for the two of us.” May said.
” Well, let’s see about that. It either i leave or you leave, period.” Mitchell said and began to take the stairs.
May led her towards her room and when she tried to leave with tears, Mitchell stopped her by her wrist.
” Crybaby. He said you should make me feel comfortable. I need a cosy blanket and a hot water bath.”
” You didn’t come here to start ordering me around like a maid.”
“Well your husband treat me the same way too so this is my payback. Or Maybe i should go tell him that his wifey doesn’t obey his orders.”
” Okay fine. I’ll just do it ” May pouted and stiffed her shoulders, walking into her room.
May left Mitchell’s room and went towards Liam’s room.
She held her breath, picking a gentle knock at the door.
” If you are May, get lost.” He said from the inside.
” What if…What if its Michelle?” She asked and Liam paused for a while without saying any word.
Soon, May saw the knob shake and it got opened, exposing Liam with only a towel on just beneath his torso.
His appearance was affecting her so much that she was slowly loosing her cool.
She gulped down and tried to concentrate on just one of his eyes.
” Um…I have something important to tell you.” She said.
” Wait. Is it about Mitchell again?” He asked, creasing his brows.
” No!. No..no.” she waved her hand.
” So what is it?” He smacked a face at her.
” I really want to ask for a favor.”
” What kind of favor.” He asked, walking back to the mirror to dry his hair.
She moved in and stayed some inches away from him.
” Well. I discussed with the nanny last night and I told her I wanted to get a job.”
” Goodluck.” He said, massaging his scalp.
” Wait?. Really?. I can go on with it?”
” Were you expecting me to say No? Who cares if you go to work or not. Infact, find a job that can get you out of this house.” He said
She chuckled at his words and slowly formed a satisfying smiling.
” Thank you for every good and bad thing, Mr Liam. I still never regret sticking to you this long” She said and he promptly stopped what he was doing.
His gaze struck her’s instantly and May felt her heart beat run miles again.
” Um…i..i meant…Thank you for accepting me to find a job. It really means alot. Thank you.” She said, bowing her head slightly.
Liam dropped his hair dryer and leaned in on the table to face her.
” Why are you being sweet and wierd at the same time. It’s disgusting.” He said.
She chuckled lightly, looking up at him.
” Remember the time we were at the park last year, that’s the same thing you said to me. Such a de javu.” She said but his expression didn’t change.
She never knew they would be this close for more than a minute and even make a discussion together.
Her heart was flattering so much that she felt like flying.
He finally took a step towards her. He turned her around so that she was now backing him.
” It’s night. Go to bed and don’t come back to make any discussion with me ever again.” He said and nudged her back to walk out.
She ran out and he angrily slammed the door close.
” Women.” He grinned with a smirk.

However, later that night.
Mitchell slowly came out of her room at night wearing only a short big shirt.
She closed up her door and tiptoed towards Liam’s room.
She was glad she could make it here at his home and finally get the opportunity to be his.
She would have had enough of him but she knew his wife would be there to be her obstacle.
As She tried to open the knob, someone grabbed hold of her hand and she flinched in fear.
She looked up and saw Liam’s nanny who had happily welcomed her the first time they drove into the compound.
” Oh. Nanny.” She exclaimed with a smile.
” It’s Ms Lily.” She said and Mitchell gulped down. Her voice had transformed from sweet to fierce.
” What are you doing here. Tell me!” Ms Lily shouted.
” I was checking on May if she was asleep.” Mitchell said.
” Does this look like a room that belongs to May?” Ms Lily asked, glaring at her.
” And do you have to talk like a rash woman?” Mitchell hissed, rolling her eyes.
” Can you hear yourself?!.”
” I’m not deaf enough like you.” She said and ms Lily h!t her bvtt with the broom stick in her hand.
” Where are your manners.” Ms lily snorted.
” On your nose. Oh…see they just dropped.” She said and giggled loudly.
” Report to your room!. This is not your limit.” She said and Mitchell hissed.
” I still have enough time to deal with you. It’s night and i don’t want to disturb my bluebell.” She said and stepped away.
” If your plan is to come ruin their marriage then I’m ready to put my legs into the same trouser with you ”
Mitchell halted and faced her
” You can’t possibly compare a fat chicken to a slim perfect potato. I’m sorry but the trousers won’t fit into you, Ms lily.” Mitchell grump and walked away
” Such a FooIish brat like her. I hope she doesn’t cause though times for boss and his wife” Ms lily shaked her heads in disappointment.

_THE NEXT DAY_.
May was having her first interview as a secretary.
She sat in line with other individuals Waiting to receive a job.
Within her, She prayed so hard to be choosen and not ending up acting nervous during the interview.
She remembered when she retired from work just to take care of her husband at those times.
So bad for her, he didn’t remember any of those.
After close to the dusk of the day, it was finally her turn to get to the boss office and take her interview.
She was wearing a peach shirt and red skirt that plumped out her spectacular curves.
Her hair was tied in bun with two strand hanging down her face.
Even with her normal face on, She was looking beautifully precise.
She walked in and was welcomed with a stunning looking man.
He had beautiful long hair but his face was hard and serious.
” Good morning.” She woke the man from his thought and he looked up to see her
” Oh. You are mistaken. This is evening already but take your seat anyways.” He said and May sat down with a round puffed cheeks.
His eyes scanned the computer system.
” You are my last candidate in my list.”
” Yes sir.” She smiled. He turned to her and knotted his fingers together.
” Good. So..What sort of work do you think you can possibly do?”
” What about my CV?” She asked, opening up her bag.
” Forget about the CV. You are a beautiful girl and surely needs a job. I’m ready to apply you for anything you ask for.” He said and May gaped at him.
” Really?. Um…i…”
” Don’t feel nervous. I’m not trying to hara$s you or anything.” He said and May sucked in her breath.
” Um..Okay. I actually came here with the minds of being a secretary.”
” Nah. That’s too low. Say something else?. Like a professional director, personal assistant?.”
” Secretary will do, please. That’s what I’m sure I can do.” She nodded.
” Good enough. What’s your name?” He raised his brows, staring at his computer screen.
” I’m May Cole” she said and he raised his hands to shake her.
” Beautiful name indeed.” He said and she blushed hard like fire was boiling near her cheeks.
” Thank you.” She said. She had not received much of those type of compliment ever since Liam lost his senses.
” Guess what? I think you should get employed today.”
” Today?. Right now?” She asked.
” Yes of course.” He grinned and May palmed her cheeks.
” Oh my goodness. I’m speechless.” She said and he smiled sweetly.
” Anyways, I’ll show you around. But first, let me introduce myself and how the rules in this company will be.” He said and stood up.
May stood up and followed him out.
” You don’t have to do too much, May. Your salary comes every hour and you will be given monthly bonus as well.
You don’t also need a permanent dress code, just put on something sxy and good enough for you. And perhaps, be at work early.”
” That’s no problem, sir. I’ll do all that and i really appreciate this.” She beamed.
” I’m Emperor. But you can call me peter.” He said and May nodded her head sheepishly.
