Chapter 36
EMPEROR’S CAR
Emperor was still driving down the main road with tons of car passing thro.
He would stare at May at regular intervals and he realised she was moody ever since they started the ride.
She would stare into space, sometimes outside the car glass and play at her fingers at some point.
He heaved a sigh and continued driving. He wanted to cheer her up so that she would talk to him.
He got to the ice cream joint and he made an order for a big bowl of different set of icecream.
” Ice cream?” He gave it to her and May looked at his eyes.
She knew he had bought it with a lot of money and she felt it was weird to reject it.
Meanwhile, her stomach wasn’t craving for anything and she also didn’t want to waste the ice cream so it was better off if she didn’t collect it.
” I’m not hungry. Thank you” She said and gave an irresistible smile.
Emperor adjusted in his seat in order to face her properly.
” Fine. I’ll feed you.” He said and May looked away, resting her cheeks on her palm.
” Don’t waste your time. I’ll just puke everything out.” She said, looking sad again.
Emperor sighed and stared at the icecream. He covered it up and rested his arm on her shoulder.
” You don’t have to be this sad May. Liam is not dead yet.” He said.
” Do you expect me to be sad until he’s d.ead. He’s in the hospital and he’s dying.” She spooned, trying to avoid tears that were in her eyes.
” He is not going to die, Okay?. And trust me, the doctor will find every way to get him back on his feet again.”
” I don’t know who’s behind this accident, but all I know is that he would never succeed in every plans he schemes against my husband. He would fail” She sobbed, wiping her tears.
Emperor rolled his eyes.
He had told the doctor earlier to give Liam has much anesthesia as possible so that he wouldn’t wake up, or never wake up.
Now that he is with May, finally, he wanted to make her part of his property and he would make her hand over all Liam’s property to him.
He smirked, loving the way his plans were moving smoothly for him. He thanked God for bringing May into his awesome life.
May suddenly turned to him and held his arm.
” Um.. Emperor. Can we go back to the hospital?” She asked, blinking her eyes in that adorable order again.
” Why?” He turned slightly upset.
” B..because, I have this feeling that Liam is alright. I think we should go back and see how he’s faring” She said.
” Go back and see him?!. How!. We just left the hospital just now and he was not alright, how did he get alright!” He yelled.
” I don’t know. I just got this feeling that he might be.” She said and Emperor started to smoke through his nose.
He clicked his fingers on the steering wheel, biting his lower lip with anger.
He can’t believe he’s trying to make her forget about him, yet she keep bringing up his topic.
” Can we go now, please?” She begged.
” I’m here!. Isn’t that enough for you to stop thinking about him!. Huh!” He yelled, vein popping out of his head.
May stared at him with wide shocked eyes. she dropped her hands and took a deep swallow.
With the way he was behaving, Her instict began to tell her to run, and run far away from him.
” I think I’d take a cab home, rather. I can go home myself now.” She said, finding the car door while staring at him.
Emperor grabbed her wrist to stop her.
He suddenly grabbed her full cheeks and kssed her forcefully. May felt her bones turning weak in an instant.
May struggled to push him away but she couldn’t beat his strength. He was so strong making her feel like an ant compared to him.
He started to lean up from his seat, kssing her hardly. His hands reached vnder her dress.
He carressed her smooth thighs and May palmed her legs close defiling him the freedom to go further.
He pressed her bbs hardly and tears began to fall out of May’s eye. She couldn’t take it anymore.
This was pain combined with unequal pleasure. She was sad for being very weak and not able to fight.
She prayed inwardly for a saving grace to happen but she knew she was totally helpless.
Even if she shouted for help, no one would hear her because the glasses were closed and tinted.
The street was empty at this side of the road and it was lit up with just street light.
He started to unbutton his shirt, with his other hands still pressing her bbs.
The car glass suddenly shattered and a strong firm arms got hold of Emperor’s shirt from the outside.
Emperor was shocked as he settled back on the chair and before he could think, a firm fist landed on his eye.
” Aww!!” Emperor exclaimed in pain.
May didnt wait to watch the present incident. As soon as Emperor left hold of her, She ran out of the car still crying mercilessly.
She ran and staggered on her feet. She didn’t look back. She kept running .
” May!”
May looked up and saw Mitchell on a large bike. She rushed towards her and climbed it up.
” Hug me!” Mitchell said and May tearfully obliged. Soon, She drove her away.

MITCHELL’S HOME
Mitchell stopped the bike at the front of her small bungalow home.
The rain was still falling heavily and the two girls had become totally drenched in their dress.
Mitchell held May protectively on her chest as she led her up to the balcony.
Mitchell started to search for her keys in a disorderly way.
” I thought I dropped it here.” She said worriedly and turned to May who had started to shiver in cold.
” I’m so sorry. I can’t find my keys.” Mitchell said and tried to opening the door.
She was suprised to see that the door could open. She hadn’t come home for days now so how on earth did. . .
They got in to the house and Mitchell turned on the light in the livingroom.
Every corners of the house was still intact. She breathed a cool sigh and turned to May.
” Oh. Sorry. Sorry. The rain.” Mitchell said as she helped May clean her hair with a Large towel, a towel as large as May.
May rested the towel on her head and covered her whole body, heaving a sigh of relief.
” Finally. I’m saved.” She said, closing her eyes breathlessly.
” Are you alright?” Mitchell palmed her cheeks with both hands.
” I’m scared. Emperor tried to touch me and thank God, I was able to escape. Thanks for coming in time Mitchell” She said and Mitchell folded her arms.
” Those people don’t have positive mind towards us. Don’t worry, Liam would definitely handle them.” She said and May blinked.
That arm that broke the glass. Could that have been Liam. She had been in a rush to even notice it.
Mitchell touched May skin.
” Ouch. You are so cold.” She said and quickly tugged out her hair dryer from the wall. ” Let’s see if this works.”
She began to dry her hair and May stared at her with a smile on her face.
She never knew Mitchell could be this nice to her, even saving her from the worst trouble and bringing her down to her home kindly.
She was with her, feeling some kind of connection that they were meant to be together like this.
May realised she had that eyes, that eyes that looked very much like hers.
Tho, the resemblance of them were not too visible but she felt it, there was this sort of attachment.
When she was done, Mitchell helped her rearrange her hair.
” We’ve never been this close.” May giggled.
” Yeah. But that doesn’t mean I like you. Yuck, why are we even talking!” Mitchell said and they both laughed.
” Good evening family.” A voice propped up making the two girls look up.
It was the almighty Ray. May quickly hid behind Mitchell’s back, shaking like a scared turtle.
” How did you get here?” Mitchell asked, stepping back furiously.
” You didn’t notice that your lock was opened?” He asked with a raised brow.
Mitchell widened her eyes in realisation. She didn’t took time to think about it and now, it had dawned on her.
” So?. What do you want to do now. Kll us?.” Mitchell asked and Ray laughed.
” I want nothing . . . out of something” He said and stopped in front of them.
He grabbed hold of the key and threw it afar from Mitchell’s reach.
He grabbed her forcefully and threw her inside a room, locking her up.
Then he turned to may.
” You, May!. You are finished. I won’t hesitate to treat you the way Liam did to me today. Come here!.” He said and grabbed May hair tightly.
” Ouch!” May winced, staggering along with him.
He took her and strode towards the kitchen.
May sobbed as he turned her head under the bowl of water, making her suck and breath water.
” I’ll do this until you drown to d.eath. Just pray your Liam comes to save you before then.” He smirked.
