Episode 12
Kingsley woke up with a terrible dream as he lazily looked at the time.
“4am already?” He thought as he tried sitting up and then noticed severe body pains.
“How did this happen?” He asked inwardly as he gave a slight groan.
“I asked you not to sleep but you didn’t listen.” An inward voice said to him.
“But I was sleepy. I didn’t even know when I drifted to dream land.”
“Understood, but a word of prayer would’ve avoided this pain you’re feeling now and the dream you had.” The voice responded as Kingsley groaned in pains.
“It’s past 4am, command the sun, moon and stars now.” He suggested as he obeyed as directed.
“You heavenlies, I command you in the name of Jesus not to give a reply to any evil programming against my life, in the name of Jesus.” He prayed as directed.
“I fire back every wicked dream arrow fired at me, in the name of Jesus.
Every ev’l word programmed into the sun, moon and stars against my life shall not be established, in the name of Jesus.
O sun, moon and stars, carry your afflictions back to the sender, and unleash them against him, in the name of Jesus.”
“What is happening? Why aren’t they carrying out my orders?” Mazi Mbakwe wondered as he noticed his incantations had no effect anymore.
“What kind of power does that small boy of yesterday have? What power is he using to confront me?” He thought as none of his programmings into the heavenlies against him was working.
“I know just what to do.”
“Now that you’ve prayed and cancelled the dream and blocked any further attack, it’s time to settle down and know more secrets behind your life.” The inward voice said as soon as he was done praying.
“But wait, does it mean the attack now was from the sky?”
“From the elements, yes. Just like the stars fought against Sisera in Judges 5:20, your enemies can as well fight you from up there.”
“Hmmm….”
“You need to not just know the secret behind your battles, but also to study your enemies and how they operate against you. But first, let’s understand your battles first.
You need to understand that you have to clear the bushes before you palnt good seeds so your harvest would be meaningful.”
“Clear bushes? I don’t understand.”
“You need to clear the bushes of battles, parental mistakes and self-imposed curses before you plant the good seeds of purpose, vision and destiny fulfilment.”
“Hmmm…..so how do I clear these bushes?”
“First, you can’t know the exact herbicide to spray on a bush that’d bring the desired results if you don’t know the weeds it consists of. You need to understand the battles you’re facing before you go into prayers.
The first I want you to note today is the battle against your ancestry.”
“My ancestry?”
“Yes. If and when you look at things well, you’d notice that this habit of being rejected every now and then didn’t start with you, it began with your fore-fathers and because their blood is what’s flowing in your veins, it’s evident in your life now.
Do you think that getting rejected where others are accepted is ordinary? It isn’t my child.
What your dad told you was just a glimpse into your predicament, but the thing is the native doctor he went to in his ignorance didn’t do much work.
There were already raw materials in your life so all he had to do was to strengthen your ignorance and instill discouragement in you.
That way, you’d be discouraged to even understand why you’re going through all these and in your ignorance, might want to end your life and they’ve won.
You have to listen to me carefully because I’m going to be very brief worth you, after that we’d pray.
In your family, from your father’s line, your ancestors were hated and rejected amongst their clan, reason being that they refused to serve the gods then.
Some were also killed untimely.
Those were the kind of battles your ancestors faced and since no one was prayerful enough to break this yoke, it passed down to your father and defeated him.
This ev’l trait has been inherited by you and you can see the signs when you go apply for a job.” The inward voice explained little by little, as Kingsley lay quiet, listening attentively.
“Hmmm…..could it be it was that battle that ki.lled my dad in the accident?”
“Exactly. The battle fought your parents and defeated them, and they’ve come for you.”
“So in essence, whatever battle my ancestors faced is what I’d still go through, so far I have their blood running in my veins.”
“Yes, unless something is done about it. I’d reveal more to you buh let’s pray on the one we’ve known now.” The inward voice said as Kingsley went into the mood of prayer.
“Battles that fought my parents, and are now fighting me, die now in the name of Jesus.
The battles that defeated my parents shall not defeat me, in the name of Jesus.
Any challenge I’m facing now that started with my history line, I overcome you by the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.” He prayed fervently, as the Spirit gave him utterance.

Few Days Later
“What is it, son? You look perplexed” Mr. Folawe asked as he noticed the unhappy look on his son Emmanuel’s face.
“Dad, it’s about my friend Kingsley. I know he isn’t living well wherever he is, but he won’t mention a word. Dad, we need to do something about my friend before he commits suicide o, I know my friend very well.” He said, slightly dragging his ears to lay emphasis, as Mr. Folawe heaved a worrisome sigh.
“Can you get his documents? we could probably try again.”
“I think I have it scanned on my phone. We can print it from there.”
“Okay then; but getting another job opportunity is the prob…..”
“Dad, that can’t be a problem at all. You’re well known and capable of anything.”
“Hmmm….you know that’s a privilege and it’s not to be abused.”
“In this case, it’s no abuse.”
“It’s okay, I’ve heard you then. Just get them printed and send them to my office tomorrow morning.”
“Okay, thank you Sir.”
