CHEATED SEASON 2 : EPISODE 21 – THE END

SEASON 2 EPISODE 22

Mr. Douglas could be seen pacing up and down his large and executive living room. Baba had just reminded him of his terms and conditions if he didn’t want to watch what he has worked for all his life, crumble before his very eyes.

“If you don’t get Folawe back in six months, the success and prosperity if your once struggling company which was given to you as a gift, would be taken away and you know what that means.” He recalled Baba’s words as it rang loudly in his ears.

“It’s three months gone now and there’s no progress yet.” He soliloquized as he crashed on his sofa, mentally stressed.

“This is stressful. This is so so stressful.” He said to himself as he could see no way he could get to achieve this goal, especially now that the person in question didn’t want to have anything to do with him anymore.

Eunice sat on her bed with great fury, and at crossroads on what to do. Karen had asked for a reinforcement as earlier discussed, but it turned out to be Hamen, her arc enemy. Eunice immediately protested, refusing vehemently to work with him.

Karen who was surprised at her reaction, asked to know the reason for her sudden protest, which she refused to disclose.

“Whatever rift you must’ve had in the past should live and remain in the past if we ever want to achieve our goal, and have the fall of this giant to our credit.” Karen advised as soon as Hamen was dismissed.

“But isn’t there a better power we could use as a reinforcement? Can’t we work with some other person?” Eunice asked.

“This is the only strong one our present level can access, so we’re obviously left with no other choice but to come under his authority, for our goal to be accomplished.” Karen said as Eunice cursed beneath her breath.

“Listen, the reward and promotion we’d get once we’re able to reach our goal would be worth this collaboration. So please put your personal differences aside and carry out your assignment.”

It’s been two weeks since Mrs. Folawe had her dream of restoration and since then, has been making more conscious efforts to make her relationship with God work. She would fast, pray, read her Bible, and listen to preachings on faith, which vastly skyrocketed her spiritual growth and knowledge.

She has also been receiving insights on how to put her marriage back in shape via the messages she’s listened to on raising a godly home.
This made her map out plans on making her husband comfortable around her to regain his trust, as she was still curious to know what could possible trouble him so much.
One day, she was reading her Bible when she stumbled upon a passage that spoke on the Blood of Jesus.

Just then, a thought came to her mind.

“You need to use the speaking blood of Jesus as a weapon for your home. Who knows? It might be what would release your husband of whatever stress he’s passing through.” A voice withing said as she read Heb. 12:24 over and over again.

“The speaking blood of Jesus, hmmm….I don’t know, how does it work?”

“That’s left to you to find out.” She received a response within, triggering her curiosity to know more about the Blood of Jesus, and how it can be applied to her situation.

“Wait, did I just ……was I just led like……did an inner voice just explain a passage to me?” She said as she was hit by the realization that she had just received an insight- something she’s been desperately yearning for ages now.

“You’ve really restored all I lost God, and added some extras to it. I’m grateful Lord, I’m so grateful.” She said as she bowed in worship, totally grateful for being given her first insight ever, since her reconciliation with God.

Kingsley had just returned from work that hectic evening.
Of all days, today was the most stressful because the restaurant he worked him was selected to plan an event not too far from town.

After preparing a quick lunch, he crashed on his bed with the intention of sleeping till whenever his body felt ready to wake.

While trying to put himself to sleep, his mind flashed back to when he was a frustrated young man, almost giving in to suicidal thoughts.

He recalled there wasn’t any furniture or a bed as comfortable as this to rest his body.

Now his story had changed; he could take care of himself, his parents and siblings.
He felt indebted to his aunt who had been there for him in trying times, in cash and kind.

He promised himself to repay her bountifully for her kindness as she deserved, when he’d be financially bouyant enough.

In the midst of his thoughts flooding with gratitude and flashbacks, he heard a beep on his phone, signifying a notification.

“Lord God!” He screamed within. He had just received a mail about an invitation for an interview from one of the most lucrative companies in the state he was based.
According to the details of the mail, he was to show up in two days time for this appointment.

“This is too good to be true.” He said as he cleaned his eyes over and over again to be sure they weren’t decieving him.

As soon as he had confirmed he wasn’t dreaming or daydreaming, he went on his knees on deep worship.

“Who am I Lord, that you decide to bless me beyond my wildest dreams? I’m so grateful Lord.” He said in worship, utterly dumbfounded as he couldn’t recall sending his CV recently to any company.

“Finally, the book of remembrance has been opened for my good.” He said to himself thoughtfully.
Throughout the day, he did nothing but sing praises to the God who has been good to him.
