CHEATED SEASON 2 : EPISODE 21 – THE END

SEASON 2 EPISODE 40
(Final episode)

TWO YEARS LATER

Kingsley could be seen in smiles as he waited patiently for his bride.

“There comes the bride.” Emmanuel who was his best man, whispered in his ears, causing him to smile broadly.

He had met Florence a year after waiting patiently abd truly God rewarded his patience by blessing him with the bone of his bones and flesh of his flesh.

“Will you, Kingsley, take Florence to be your lawfully wedded wife; to love and you cherish in sickness and in health, for better for……”

“I do.” Kingsley said impatiently as he smiled broadly at his soon-to-be wife.

In no time, they exchanged vows and had their first kiss.

At the reception, Mr.& Mrs. Nwankwo’s joy knew no bounds as they danced passed everyone.

Of course, the bride and groom was busily busy but were still able to see some of the guests.

Interestingly, K met the guests he expected to see and the ones he didn’t expect.

“Someone wants to see you.” Emma whispered in his ears as they were about rounding up for the day.

“Who?” K asked turning around and his eyes met Richard.

“Richard? Here? How?” He thought confused.

“Happy married life bro.” Richard said and attempted to hug him.
Immediately a woman beside him who seemed to be his wife greeted him and her two kids did the same.

“Richard, it’s really been a long time! Where on Earth have you been for these past few years?” K asked in surprise as Richard began narrating his ordeals for sometime now.

After he had gotten arrested, his wife who heard of it came around and bailed him with a fine.

She had wanted to return to the kids but he begged her profusely to return home and she obliged after a few days.

The management heard of his attempt to hurt Kingsley and they didn’t take it lightly at all as K had become a great asset to them. As a way of defending him, they got him fired, the owner of the company in support of this.

“That he’s a blood relative doesn’t make him above the law and doesn’t mean he’d always get away with every silly move he makes.” His uncle said and with that he got fired.

“Wow……” Kingsley said as he narrated.
He only knew he stopped coming to work after the whole incident, but was too busy with the office to find out why.

“Well, God used that to teach me a lesson. Touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm.” Richard said conclusively.

“Hmm…so where have you been working since?”

“Well, I was able to secure another job. Even though it’s not as lucrative as my family’s company, it’s a punishment for ever planning against God’s very own.”

“God’s very own?”

“Yes,that was what he told me about you few days to the operation at your house but I didn’t seem to understand then.

Now my relationship with Him has blossomed and He has promised to restore all I’ve lost due to my ignorance, when the time is right.” Richard said as K nodded thoughtfully.

In no time, K became caught up with the event that his time with Richard was shortened.

After a day well spent, everyone returned to their various abode, with K thinking about his wedding night in smiles.

Kingsley was relaxing in the sitting room while reflecting back on how his life has gone

It’s been three months since he got married and these months have been filled with mouthwatering opportunities as well as shocking revelations.

Before his wedding, he felt a strong urge to have a change of name as he didn’t do so even after finding out the truth about his roots.

A week after his change of name, he had a contract proposal submitted to him.
On seeing the contractor’s details, he developed a sudden urge to know more about him.
His curious self immediately sprung up as he asked series of questions when he got the chance to officially meet him in person.

The result of his curiousity got him to know the contractor was his true parent’s in-law, as he got married to his biological mother’s sister.

His joy knew no bounds on realizing he had just got a chance to meet his blood relative.

The joy in him made him promise to see his son through school, who happened to be David.

When David’s dad broke the news to him, he was greatly overwhelmed with joy and asked to see the good Samaritan to greet and thank him.

It was in the process of David thanking K that he told him this kind gesture of his was an answer to his long-term prayers.

“God really does answers prayers, only if we’re patient enough to receive it.” David said after narrating his ordeal on how he had relentlessly been praying to God for a helper.

“What a determined kid he was.” K said with a curved smile on his lips as the event played in his memory.

Again his mind flashed back to when he bumped into Cindy one of the days, in a traffic jam.

Based on the fact it’s been a while he’d seen her or Vivian, he decided to say hello.

When he asked of Vivian, he received the shocking news that she was bedridden.

The urgency at which he took the matter made him beg Cindy for her house address.

“But I thought she gave you the other time you said you were going to visit her?” Cindy asked.

“Come on, Cindy! That’s years back na. I’ve forgotten the address and besides, I don’t know if her family still resides there. I’ve not been in touch with her for sometime now.” He responded and Cindy obliged after a little more persuasion.

“Lol…..she told you that? Seriously? That’s so dramatic of her.” Vivian said as K narrated his reason for coming to her house.

“Well, I’m paying my price for being complacent with the things of God.

I’ve learnt my lessons now; though the stripes were much and seemed unbearable, He was loving enough to console me through it all.” Vivian said as she narrated her ordeal to K, which left him shock.

According to what she had just told him, she had confronted her grandmother and the outcome of it made her realize how woefully she had failed God.

CHEATED SEASON 2 : EPISODE 21 – THE END

Two weeks later, she fell sick again but it wasn’t as serious as the first.

When the sickness defied all drugs, her dad suggested she’d be taken to the deliverance ground once more.

“An arrow was fired into her. The Almighty allowed this to serve as a punishment for living below His expectation for her life.” The pastor told her parents in her presence.

“He’d heal her at will, when she has learnt enough.” He added, when he saw the perplexed looks on their faces.

“I’ve lost a lot of things: my divine husband I’ve been praying for, my opportunity to save grandma from the bondage she secretly wished to escape from one day, and my health.” Vivian continued.

“Looking back, I honestly wish I never got discouraged.
I wish I never gave up at the edge of my breakthrough.

I wish I gave my pray life a little more push no matter how insignificant it might be. At least I would’ve been spiritual enough to understand all the plans of the enemy, act and pray accordingly, then win my grand mom’s soul.

But it’s too late now, she’s dead.
Dead and buried in her sins, all because of my lack of spiritual sensitivity and maturity in Christ to understand God had wanted to use me to save her.

I’ve also lost the man God had wanted to give to me, as a result of my complacency.
He’s been given an Esther in place of me, a Vashti.

I never knew there were powers fighting against my getting married.
I never knew my marriage would be a terror to the enemy and they would wage war against it.

I never knew all these were what God was trying to tell me through a persistent urge in my spirit to revive my pray altar, two years ago.

Now I understand my dream. I understand perfectly now.
I lost it…..I really lost it.” She said and spoke no further to avoid tears streaming down her cheeks.

“Well, there’s no need wailing over spilled milk. The deed is done already.” Vivian said after a reasonable time of thoughtful silence.

“Truly no one is indispensable.” Kingsley thought out loud as her story played really fresh on his memory.

No one needed to tell K the man she was talking about that she was destined to marry was himself.

Through her story, he understood that one is indispensable when it comes to the things of God and doing His will. Anyone, just anyone could be replaced after failing deliberately to bounce back despite several impressions in his heart to do so.

Kingsley’s thoughts were interrupted by the door bell.

On seeing the supposed guest, he grumbled and left the door ajar to enable access to the house.

“Guy this is weekend na, wetin you dey find for my house?” K said as he walked away from the door.

“Geez. Guy it’s me o, Emmanuel your gee.”

“Taaa…..I’m a married man now, I need my space.”

“Imagine.” Emma said as he burst into laughter.

“That’s the song you’ve been ringing in my head for sometime now.”

“On the other hand, I’m indirectly telling you to go get yours.” K said as he sat on the sofa with two glasses of drinks.

“I don’t get that, what do you mean?” Emma asked, sipping his drink.

“I mean when am I going to be your best man?”

“Lol….. seriously?”

“Yes seriously. Guy you’re the only one left now. Chima has long been married and by the grace of God, I’ve joined the clique despite all my encounters.

What’s holding you? Tell me.
You haven’t prayed about it enough yet or you haven’t found a girl?” K asked as Emma smiled for a while.

“Guy marriage is not something one should rush into. You of all people should know that.”

“I know, but that still isn’t an excuse.” K cut in as Emma sipped his drink some more.

“Well, I’d not be single forever, most certainly.” Emma said and decided to change the subject.

“Where’s your wife by the way?”

“She went shopping, she should be back soon.”

“Hmmm! Women and shopping!”

“What do you mean? Allow her enjoy herself joor. Besides, it’s weekend so it’s normal.”

“Well, true sha. I mean you were meticulous about saving to make sure you can provide her with whatever it is she might need.” Emma said and finished his drink.

“Okay, I’d love to be on my way now.
I just dropped by to say hello.” Emma said and stood up, showing his readiness to leave.

“Okay, no problem bro.” K said as he saw him off.

“Jesus!” Emma shouted as he rushed into his kitchen and out off the gas cooker.
He had gotten home safely and decided to cook for the night but slept off out of fatigue.

“Oh God!” He grumbled like a child as he stared at his burnt food.

“Kai, burnt beyond recognition and edibility.” He said to himself as he carried the pot to the sink.

“Sheybi if you had a wife now, all these wouldn’t have happened.” He grumbled childishly.

As soon as he was done, he crashed on his single couch exhausted.

His eyes quickly caught the invitation card on his centre table.

His lips widened in smiles on viewing it.

“She’s finally getting married.” He thought to himself as he remembered the day he bumped into Rose and she ended up giving him her wedding invitation.

“I’d love it if you’d honor this invitation as my special guest.” She said to him in smiles.

One look at her could tell she was swimming in happiness with no iota like of regrets.

A sincere smile was plastered on his face as he recalled how stunning she was.

“Well, I’m glad she’s moved on and is happy now.” He said as he stared at the invitation card for a little more while before dropping it, after which his thoughts shifted to how much change has happened in his family.

Mr. Douglas came to apologise to his dad two months ago, revealing to him the whole plan of making him feel frustrated to the point of returning to the sect himself.
That was why he persuaded him to give up and return ‘home’.

When they saw their plan wasn’t working out as a result of the revived prayer life of his wife, Baba Shagba swore to revenge and carried out his threat which turned out to be unsuccessful and lead to his death.

“He even tried to attack me too but thankfully I had joined a church and followed their principles faithfully.

My wife who has been praying for the salvation of my soul also served as a covering for me.” Mr. Douglas said.

Although Mr. Folawe was surprised at all this and forgave his friend Douglas, he placed him at arm’s length as the trust had already been broken.

Emma immediately received a call that brought him back to reality.
He smiled to himself as soon as he was done speaking with the person.

“Things have really changed for the better in these last few years.” He smiled to himself.

The person that called was Esther, and she called to tell him she and Happiness were traveling for the holidays to see her parents.

From the tone of her voice over the phone, one could conclude she was really excited.

Over the years, Esther in her broken heart decided to work out her relationship with God as suggested by her sister who according to her, had an unconditional love He had to offer her.

Ever since she made that decision, her life began to change and she started becoming a better version of herself.

As her faith developed for the better, she decided to put it into practice and pray for her parents.

“Perhaps it may not be their fault afterall. They possibly would have loved to give us the best life but circumstances aren’t favorable.” She reasoned one day as a thought to intercede not for her parents but her whole family, popped up in her heart.

“I’m happy for her. At least she’s no longer the desperate baby cousin I knew her to be……wait, why am I even seated here and entertaining flashbacks when I’m super hungry?” Emma thought, after which he left the house.

Mr. Frank has resumed back to his office now, and his family is back.

As he sat down to think of how his life has been for these past few years, he smiles in understanding that God really is supreme and protects his own.

The news of his dad’s conversion shocked him to the core and that was what made him come to the conclusion that no one could fight against God or the ones he protects, and be victorious.

Things seemed to return to normal for him.

His family and job were back, the relationship between himself and his dad blossomed on a new level and the least he could do is to be grateful to could for counting him worthy of restoration of all he had lost.

“O taste and see that the Lord is good! I’ve tasted and seen He truly is good, and merciful to them that hope in His mercy!”
