Mrs. Folawe had been reading her Bible intentionally these days, seeking how to apply the speaking Blood of Jesus as it was all new to her.
She suggested daily pleading of the blood to her husband, as she shared the insight she received with him.
Thus, it became a daily exercise during their joint prayers as a couple.
The couple had just concluded their first vigil ever together, and had retired to bed, waiting for sleep to pay them a visit.
Meanwhile, George was widely awake, thinking of how things were beginning to take turns in his home, especially how serious his wife has been with God these days.
It was then the realization hit him that he had never trusted God enough to tell his problems to him as his wife was beginning to do.
“Lord I’m sorry for not trusting you enough to submit my problems to you, instead I went to seek and trust man’s help which failed me.” He prayed silently in his heart, referring to Mr. Douglas the ‘help’.
Yes he has accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior through his son, but deep done he still had great respect and reverence for his renounced sect as he considers them to be very powerful.
Thus, his faith that he could be saved from the mess he has landed himself in as a consequence of leaving his group, was critically low.
He however hoped in his heart that his wife’s prayers would help greatly and her seemingly blossoming faith would cover up for his doubt.
CHEATED SEASON 2 : EPISODE 21 – THE END
It was a new week already; the week Kingsley’s level was going to change for the best
“At last! God is good!” K exclaimed as soon as he ended his morning prayers.
He soon wen to take a quick shower before dressing up for work. He had told Daniel and Mrs. Gladys about his promotion and they were sincerely happy for him, not forgetting to mention how much they’d miss him.
While getting dressed, his mind flashed back to how his life has been through the years.
He recalled the times he had high hopes for the future immediately after his undergraduate studies, only to be greeted coldly by the harsh realities of life, courtesy of his faulty foundation.
“After all the hurdles, I came out strong. My dream of working in a lucrative company has finally come true.” He said to himself, looking at the mirror in smiles.
“Welcome Mr. Kingsley, I’ve been expecting you.” A professionally dressed young lady greeted as soon as he walked into the company’s reception.
“Oh, good day Miss.” He responded casually.
“Yes, it is a good day indeed Sir.” She said and paused for a while. On noticing his confused look, she decided to introduce herself formally.
“My name is Alice, your new secretary. I’m here to show you your new office and render my services to you as well.” The young lady said with a beautiful smile.
“Oh okay. Nice to meet you, Alice.
I must say, I really need someone to show me my way around this massive premises.” He said, as he took a little time to admire the place.
“Like I said earlier, I’m at your service. So shall we?” She said as they made their way to the elevator.
“Congratulations on your position as the Managing Director of this company, Sir.” Alice said as soon as they walked into his new office.
“Wow…..” Was all that escaped his lips as he looked around in smiles with an expression of gratitude and excitement written boldly on his face.
Alice was also in smiles as well, happy she had finally had a change of boss.
She had a feeling her new boss was going to be the exact opposite of her former boss, and looked forward to working with him.
“I’d be leaving now, Sir. You can call me if you need anything. Congratulations once again, Sir.”
“Thank you very much, Alice.” He responded as she made her leave.
“Wow…. God…
Just wow. I’m speechless already like……wooow.”
