The driver pulled over at Esther’s residence, i got down and hurriedly walked into the house
I meet her laying on a three sitter couch, she stood up immediately she saw me
“Never thought you can make it” her voice was surprisingly low
“I’m here now Esther, you sounded worried when you called” I said to her
“Yeah, I was” she sighed
“What happened”
“It’s Samar” she stated slowly
“What happened to Samar? Have he been playing around? Is he alright? What happened to him” I sighed and kept shut when I saw she won’t answer me
“What happened to Samar” I asked slowly
“Hmm” she hummed

“Samar can’t say such” I exclaimed once she finished explaining things to me
“He did, and I felt bad about it….you know Samar was right after all, it looks like I’m forcing you to scarify your happiness just for me” she stops and stared at me
Slowly tears rushed down her cheeks but she cleaned it with her palm immediately
“Esther…..” She cut me short
“He was right, I never really cared if you want all this stuffs or not, I just got you into it all in the name of love, Love that I doesn’t know if it will ever be possible” She sneeze , trying hard to control the threntening tears from falling
“You shouldn’t talk like that, Samar just misunderstood you_”
“He doesn’t misunderstood me Amily! All he said was true….I’m pushing you into doing what you don’t want to”
“But I want to! I wanted this…..if I don’t want it I won’t be here! I could easily walk away if I had wanted to… I’m doing this not because you ask me to or because I’m desperate for money… Esther I’m doing it because I love Noah! I don’t know what love is all about, I don’t know how I end up loving him but I can’t stop it! I love the feelings” I shouted at her and wipe the tears in my eyes
“Amily…..”
“Don’t……” I shakes my head negatively and rushed out of the building.
“Amily wait!” She yelled after me but I ignored her and walk to the car
“Listen to me Amily”
I turned to her with yet another set of tears threntening to fall
“You’re right Esther ..it looks like am desperate of all this”
“I never said that Amily”
“You don’t have to say it out …. I understand your point” I entered the car and the driver slowly drove off
I felt shattered
It was my dreams were shattered
I felt terrible, really terrible
I needed space! Can’t life ever he meaningful? Why when I want to be happy I ended up becoming Sad and lonely?
Does other feel the same or was it just me?
“Pull over” I told the driver
“What?’
“I said pull over!” I yelled at him
“Yes ma’am” he slowly parked the car
“Get out, I’ll drive from here” I told him
“But ma’am, Sir won’t be …….”
“Get out!” I stated once more
He looks at me for a while then got down, I got down also and entered the driver’s seat then slowly speed off
Happiness was all I asked for, but was that too big to ask for?
Was it?
My dreams….. I can’t blame Samar he was only trying to stand up for our family just like father could have done if he was around
I wonder how dad could be coping , of course he will be doing well where ever he is
Did he even remember that he had a family outside?
What does he look like now?
Will he recognize me if he sees me? Will we meet again before the world gets old?
Does he have another family whom he cares for more than us? All this while he told us how much he loves us had he been lying about it?
My ringing phone brought me out of my thoughts
I stared at the phone , it was vannesa calling …She called at the right time cause I need someone to speak to
With one hand on the steering wheel I used the other hand to pick up the call
“Hey Amily guess the good news!” Her cheerful laughter roared
I couldn’t stop myself from sobbing more..
“Amily have you been crying? Are you okay?” She asked..
“Vannesa I………” I felt something hard hit my car making me hit my head on the steering wheel
Then followed by shouts, I felt my head become more heavy for me to Carry
“Amily….” Vannesa called
“Van” I called slowly and held my head…then I felt another pain down my stomach
I looked down slowly and scared, I was bleeding
“It’s a accident!!” I heard someone yelled from outside
I felt like I needed to cough and when I did I coughed out blood
“Call the ambulance!” Another voice yelled
Then I saw people circled my car and trying to open the door
I realized it was an accident as my sight became blurry till darkness took over

“You’re indeed a lucky man, at least you have nothing more to worry about” I and my brother Kelvin laughed
“You know, sometimes you just have to let your heart and soul free, I do never thought I can love her again after all she did” he smiled
“You’re lucky”
“And who says you’re not?
“Come on bro! You know how much I sucks at love, we do not debate over it” I sighed
“Hmm” he hummed
“What?
“Where’s Amily?’ his question came up suddenly
“She left for school, I think” I muttered to his hearing
“You think, you know you should consider that girl already”
“Drop it Kelvin” I hit him and he laughed
“You should go and Marry Tracy or find a wife already, you have four days left”
“Must you remind me that? Beside who’s taking about Tracy and wife’s stuffs here?
“I am” he smiled
“Seriously kel”
“Hey you’re no longer allowed to call me that” he said frowning
“Why?
“Cause only Vannesa can call me that”
“Gross! I hissed and walked over to the bar
“I know you’re jealous” he says
“I’m not”
“Yeah whatever,you won’t admit it after all”He sighed and turned on the television
I smiled and pour myself some wine, Okay who says am not jealous?
“Hey Noah! Come over here” he called out
I carried the glass containing my wine and walked to him
“What happened? I asked but instead he pointed at the television
I stared at it, An accident occured 15 minutes ago, I stared as a lady was being carried out of a crashed car, she seems badly wounded
Wait a minute……. That’s …..
That’s Amily Redford!!
The glass in my hand fall as I stared at the television
“What’s wrong brother? Do you know her? The accident seems a bad one”
“That girl…… That girl is Amily” I said slowly
