I saw the mix of shock,fear and anger in my dad’s eyes.
He and Brandon kept staring at each other like they knew each other before.
The sudden slience waso so awkward and uncomfortable.
“Get out” My dad said to Brandon softly,i was surprised, the dad i knew would want to kill him.
Brandon took his phone and walked out of the house without sparing me a glance.
My dad walked away into the elevator,i guess he was going to his room.
What have i done? He is so angry that he can’t say anything.

Oh my goodness, it’s already happening, they have found her.
The secret I have been keeping from Nicole for 12 years will soon be revealed.

I got home shaking so bad, I have been scared in my life.
Why in the world didn’t i notice,he is her Father,am so dead.
My whole system is vibrating,am even surprised how i got home because i can’t concentrate.
I really don’t know what to do,my secret will come out,Nicole will hate me.

After 2 hours, I gathered up courage to go meet my dad.
I knocked on his room door.
“Come in” he said coldly,i exhaled deeply before i went in.
He was going through his phone,his hair was all ruffled.
“Dad,am..am sorry,i know you are angry at me”
“Am not angry,am disappointed,after all i have told you about having a boyfriend”
“I couldn’t help it,dad,i love him”
He looked shocked.
“You what?”
“I love him,dad,so much”
“You don’t even know what love is”
“I do and that’s what i feel for him”
“How long have you been with him?”

“And you didn’t say anything to me when i video called you”
“I was scared that you would say i should leave him”

“Dad,you can do a background check on him,like you do with everyone I know,he is a good guy”
“I don’t need to do a background check, Brandon is already bad for you”
“But…wait,i never told you his name was Brandon,how did you know?”
“Um..Mrs Smith told me,but that’s not the point, the point is i don’t want him for you”
“Dad,he is a good guy and am old enough to make my own decision”
“Like the way you made a decision for him to have sx with you on my couch”

“WHAT?!!!!” Jason and Micheal yelled as I told what happened.
“But, bro,how could you try to make love to her on the couch?” Micheal asked.
“I wasn’t going do it on the couch,i was planning on taking her to her room but that’s not the real problem”
“So what is it?”
“Nicole is the daughter of Gerald Norman” i said and Jason and Micheal gasps in shock.
“What? You are lying,right?”
“I wish i was but am not,when i saw him,i was scared to de@th”
“No one knew Nicole’s father name and he hardly comes to school”
“Even if he did come to school,no one would know him as what he really is”
“Does Nicole know the kind of job her father does?”
“No,i don’t think so but he is very brutal and i don’t know what he will do to me”
“So the whole thing sums up to the fact that you are dating the daughter of a very powerful Drug Lord,who is also the leader of the most br.utal M@fia”
“Yes and the worst is that no one in the Mafia knows that he has a daughter, because if they did,they would have killed her, that’s why Nicole’s mom picture looked so familiar,the M@fia killed her when they found out that she was Gerald’s wife”

I decided to call Brandon to check how he is doing.
“Hey” i said as he picked up.
“Hey, babe”
“Am sorry about my dad,he doesn’t want me dating”
“I…i know” he said nervously.
“No need to worry,we will just have to prove that we love each other”

“Brandon,are you alright,yoy sound so off”
“Am fine,just tired”
“Okay,i will leave you to rest,talk to you tomorrow”
I hanged up and went to sleep.

I was dressed for school,i went downstairs to see four bodyguards.
“Hello,can i help you?”
“Miss Nicole,your father asked us to protect you” one of the guards said and i started laughing.
“Oh, darling,you are ready for school”
“Dad, what’s with the bodyguards?”
“They will keep you safe and away from your ex-boyfriend, Brandon”
“Ex-boyfriend? Dad,i haven’t and will not break up with Brandon”
“Well, starting today,you are no longer his girlfriend,these guards will make sure he doesn’t come near you, they will follow you anywhere you go”
“Dad,you can’t do this to me”
“I have done it,am protecting you, sweetie,now go to school”
“And i almost forgot, Nathan will pick you up today”
“Nathan? As in the governor’s son?”
“Yeah,he really likes you and he is better for you”

“You both were just 16 when you last saw each other,he is grown and matured now so get ready”
My dad went up to his room.
