“Nikky,are you okay?” Zach asked as we were walking down to the cafeteria.
“Yes,am fine,why are you asking?”
“Well,you seem lost and sad,is something wrong?”
“It’s nothing,am perfectly fine” I said and forced a smile.
The pain in my heart is just so much, the first time am actually falling in love with someone,i get hurt.
Zach and i entered the cafeteria,my eyes went immediately to Brandon,he was with some guys.
He looked extremely handsome in a plain white sweatshirt,our eyes locked but this time,i looked away.
I need to get over him.

“Well,i guess Zach won.. again” Jason said.
“What do you mean?” I asked
“He has Nicole again,you lost to him for the second time”
“The first time was back in middle school, that’s what made you and Zach hate each other”
“Am not destined to have a relationship with any girl” i said sadly.

School was over,i was packing my bags to leave.
“Brandon” someone called and i need no one to tell me who.
I turned around and there she was, beautiful as always.
“Nicole”
“I came here to return your jacket”
I gave her my jacket the day she came to my house,she told me she liked it.
“I thought you liked it”
“I do but i don’t want anything that reminds me of you”
That really hurt me.
“No,i think you should keep it,it looks good on you”
“No,i don’t want it, it reminds me of our stupid i was to fall for a player”
She threw the jacket at me.
“Bye” She said and tried to walk away but i held her wrist.
“What do you want, Brandon?” She asked and removed her hands.
“Can i..can i get a hug?” I asked and she chuckled.
“No,you can’t,am sure one of your flings will give you a better hug,if you will excuse me,Zach is waiting for me outside”
With that,she walked away,i sighed sadly.

(Flashback)
“Have you ever considered getting a girlfriend?” I asked Brandon as we were eating.
“No,what about you”
“Nope,i don’t think i need one”
“Yeah,me too and you are enough for me, Shawty” he said and i giggled.
“Honestly,you are so special to me and i won’t trade anything for our friendship”
(Flashback ended)
“Nicole” Bella called as she tapped me.
“What?”
“You just zoned out”
Bella was at my house doing homework.
“Am..am sorry,i was just..
“Thinking about Brandon,oh,my friend, love hurts sometimes”
“But why? Why does it have to hurt?”
“I don’t know,but apart from hurting,love heals,love makes us happy,you just need to find the right person”
“So Brandon is not the right person dor me?”
“Time will tell,babe”
? Brandon’s P.o.v?
“I don’t want anything that reminds me of you” Her voice still echoed in my head.
“Oh,my sweet darling,i know how painful this is” Mrs Russel said.
She came closer and hugged me.
“The funniest thing is that i can’t seem to get her off my head”
“That’s because you love her”
“Seeing her with Zach makes me so angry but i can’t do anything”
“Am sure she’s also hurting as well”
“Honestly,i wish i died along with my parents so that i won’t have to go through this painful experience”
“Don’t say that,you are like a son to me,so don’t say that” She said and kssed my forehead.

The next morning,i was already in my car heading to school,i got down and headed straight to my locker.
Then,i saw something that made me stop.
It was Zach and Nicole kssing,my anger rose that i didn’t know when i went over to them.
I pulled Zach away from Nicole and punched him in the face.
“You bastard,hpw dare you kiss her?”
“Brandon, what’s wrong with you?” Nicole said as she helped Zach up from the floor.
“Why are you so angry? You couldn’t her here for the second time?”

What does he mean by second time?
“You lost her the first and second time,you are such a whimp” Zach said making Brandon more angry.
Brandon tried to punch him,but Zach held his hand and punched Brandon.
Students started to gather us.
“You two should stop fighting”
“Zach,you are the real whimp,you can’t tell Nicole the truth about those letters in middle school,you cheating animal,you lied to Nicole that you werd the one who wrote those letters to her”
“Wait,hold up, Zach, aren’t you the one who wrote those letters to me?”
Zach kept quiet,he only sighed.
“Answer her,Zach,tell her the truth”
“Um,Nikky,it wasn’t me who wrote those letters”
“Then if it wasn’t you,who did?”
“It was me” Brandon said starring at me.
“You were the one who wrote those letters back in middle school of how you had a crush on me”
“Yes,Nicole,but Zach took advantage of the fact that i was shy to come meet you,he lied to me that he would tell uou about me but instead he took the glou a d made you believe that he was the one who wrote it”
So all those time, Brandon was actually the one sending tbose letters and i thought it was Zach.
I was about to say something when the Principal arrived.
“Zachary Bennett and Brandon Bradford,you two know the consequences of fighting in school, suspension for two weeks starting now,so leave the school premises”
“Am really sorry, Nicole” Zach said and walked away.
I and Brandon just kept looking at each other.
“Before i go,i just want to let you know that I lied about something” he said
“About what?”
“About not loving you,Nicole,i have always loved you from the the first day you walked in through the door in middle school”
With that he walked away,the crowd became smaller.
Brandon loves me too,even before we became close friends,we have alot of talking to do.
