Episode 3
Lydia walked into her sister’s store….. Lucia was lashing at her girls about counting stocks and balancing records
Lucia own a big store. Well not exactly a supermarket but a mini one. She sells provision, food stuff, toiletries, kitchen utensils and other basic stuffs
Lydia on the other hand is the head of programs in her organization…. And although she has not the tiniest bit of business charisma as her sister. She knew well enough that whenever Lucia is lashing about something she’s in a terrible mood
“Bad timing…. ” Lydia ducks her head in front of her sister to notify her of her presence
“Geez… Lydia can you be any more silly ”
“Sorry… I’ve been standing here for a while and you didn’t even notice me ”
“Sorry about that…. This girls are driving me nuts,,, ” she turned to the girls….. “what are you still standing here for? Why don’t you grab a chair and join the conversation?”
She barked at her girls and they fled back to their various post then Lucia and her sister took their seats
“They are just so dumb…. It would be a different case if at least one of them was sensible enough to do the right thing but.. No.. They are all dumb…. Completely stupid ”
“Lucy….. Calm down, You insulting them will not exactly change anything ”
“My point exactly….. I need to change them ”
“All of ’em”
“Yeah ”
“Lucy…. ”
“Don’t give me that face lydy.. You are not the one who has to deal with them everyday…. It’s so bad I can’t even go absent for a day and something would not get messed up…. They mismanage my business all the time and I end up sorting everything out on my own… So what is the essence of keeping them when they are of no use?”
“You know you can’t do all of this on your own”
Her twin sister rolled her eyes and Lydia sighed heavily
“You can’t run this store on your own. You couldn’t when you only had Brian and you are sure as hell can’t now that you have your whole family ”
“I don’t depend on anybody lydy… You of all people should know that ”
“I know… But at the same time ”
“Please.. Don’t tell me you came all the way here to discuss about this useless girls ”
“No…. I didn’t, but ”
“But nothing…….. I’ll deal with that later you don’t have to worry ”
“Lucy……. ”
“And what are you doing here by this time of the day? Shouldn’t you be at work or something? ”
“Yeah… I left early… I had to go and take care of something so I thought I’d stop by”
“During work hours… ”
“Well what I had to do was important ”
“Don’t mess with the privileges they are giving you at your office ”
“I’m.. Not, there are just things that are more important to me than that, and if I don’t make time for them… No one is going to do them for me ”
“Yeah right….. i’m not the one with the billionaire husband ”
“It not all that matters ”
“It sure isn’t…… what are you wearing?”
Lydia looked down at her brown suit jacket and pant trouser
“Clothes ”
“Jesus…….. Lydy… You call this dull cargo.. Clothes, I wonder when you will learn ”
“i’m trying.. But you know I don’t pay so much attention to clothes.. And you refused to let me raid your wardrobe and you continually decline my request for twinny outfits ”
“What are you fighting for…… You want to declare to the world that we are twins isn’t it? Enough that we share the same look, same skin color, same hair color, eye color, height thankfully not the same voice …. Must we wear the same outfit too”
“But You know I suck at this, that’s why you were blessed with the ultimate fashion sense, we can’t have it all”
“I’m flattered…… ” Lucia rolled her eyes again
“So,.. What’s up with your mood”
“My mood”
“Yeah your mood…. You are quite on the edge today ”
“i’m always on the edge according to you ”
“Yeah . but this has to be because of something, so tell me what’s wrong ”
She swallowed hard
“I can’t believe you think I’m always nuts… Looks like that how everyone sees me this way”
“I never said you were nuts… Besides who’s everyone ”
“….. Pascal ”
“What did you do now?” Lydia immediately wished she hadn’t let that slip
“What makes you think I did anything… Everytime you keep judging me. You didn’t even bother to find out what happened. You immediately crucify me…. So to you now Pascal is a saint …. ”
“I’m sorry I shouldn’t have said that….. I’m sorry ….. Sorry, ”
“You are just unbelievable ”
“I don’t know why I said that, I’m truly sorry. . so what did he do?”
“Nothing ”
“Ohh C’mon ”
“I dont want to talk about it ”
“OK….. So how are the kids ”
“They are fine ”
“I’ve really missed them… I think they should come over this weekend ”
“This weekend…. Ok”
“Let your house help bring them on Friday after school ”
“Which house help? ”
“Yours of course…. Blessing I think that’s her name ”
“Yeah, I fired her”
“Whhhhaaat! ” Lydia screamed
“Don’t act so surprised….. It was bound to happen anyway ”
“What did she do… I mean that girl is always so careful and minding her business ”
“Apparently she wasn’t exactly minding her business ”
“In what way ”
“She was snooping around ”
“Around what ”
“Around….. My.. Uhm stuff ”
“Did she steal your stuff ”
“Not exactly ”
“Then what did she do…. ”
Lucia raised her shoulders
“It’s not important she’s gone and gone for good ”
“So You don’t have any reason.. You just fired her… Just like you did to the other maids”
“I have my reasons…. You know why I fired the rest of them ”
“Yeah and it just absurd.. You stopped hiring female maids because of your husband.. You hired a male help and realize he was a thief and now this young girl….. What exactly is the problem Lucy, don’t you think your level of intolerance has heaped up from normal ”
“Don’t lecture me lydy…. I’m not married to your husband, who is the only living saint ”
“There we go again… Comparism ”
“You started it ”
“Sometimes I don’t know how to deal with you ”
Lydia stood up and grabbed her bag
“Are You leaving already ”
She didn’t answer as she walked out of the shop.
