“She keeps doing this comparing me to herself… And at the end of the day I’m the one feeling bad, until when do I have to deal with this…… Even as kids we were always wishing for one thing and getting the other person’s wish coincidentally…. I have taught myself to adjust…… It is not like I don’t have setbacks and I’m not feeling sad but I have learnt to adapt and take things the way they are…. Some things cannot change, no matter how hard we try…. What will be will be…. Why can’t she understand that, every time I try to see reasons with her she just go off the rails…. I know she can be a little bit or a lot temperamental but I have known her all my life and I know how she gets and manage to get through with it….. But everyday is a different story with Lucy. And it so damn tiring”
Lydia thought to herself as she drove into her compound
Lucy just ruined her mood and her reason for going there was never even talked about
The legal proceedings for the adoption has started and the agency has given her assurance that within thirty days, they would get back to her, on the child description of her choice
And Lucy never gave her the chance to even express herself….. It’s always about her all the time and why won’t it be…. She’s overly jealous about the slightest of things and has tongs of problems
She continually chased away all their friends because of her insecurities and because of their bond…. Lydia couldn’t be friends with someone whom her sister doesn’t find worthy to be her own friend
That is the highest level of betrayal for Lucy…. Getting acquainted with her enemy
So many sacrifices but it doesn’t matter… She never appreciates any of it anyway… She would look the other way like nothing is wrong, and there is no big deal about what you do for her
Lydia entered into her house and everything fell silent….. So silent almost like a grave yard just like every other day
The big living room was empty and tidy just like every other day
It is just past three in the afternoon so Ken should still be at work
There would be no one to talk to or pour out her burden… Her house might be a beautiful mansion but it didn’t give the Joy and happiness she lung for
Lydia has been married for almost eight years, Lucy got married a year and some months after her but apparently she’s enjoying the fruit of her marriage.. In ways that Lydia could only wish for
There are seven bedrooms and two living rooms, a gym and and a gigantic pool with the various cars parked outside…
All well and good, she’s living a luxurious and comfortable but she would gladly trade all of this for a child of her own
She slumped on her butt to the floor and wrapped her hands around her legs and burst into tears

Pascal was driving home from work, when he noticed Jenny standing by the roadside waiting for a ride
He pulled over and whined down the glass and smiled at her
“Hello Jenny ”
“Hello Pascal ”
“Get in.. Jenny ”
“No, thanks …. I won’t be needing a ride today, ”
“Why… What’s wrong ”
“Nothing…. I’m just not going home directly ”
“Ohhh so where are you headed ”
“Out…… ”
“I know you are not going anywhere, why are you acting cold towards me…. Did I do something wrong ”
“No Pascal, I just don’t think it is wise to continue to ride with you ”
“Can You at least hop in so we can talk…. It’d already feels somehow that I’m talking to you through the window ”
“Okay .. ”
She turned round got into the front seat and sighed softly as she settled in
“I think I owe you an apology ”
“An apology ”
“Yes.. I still havent apologize for my wife’s attitude the other day”
Jenny looked through the window
“At least now that your wife is the jealous type… I better stear clear, I don’t want any issue… I love my personality and I don’t want anything to tarnish it for me ”
“You are my friend Jenny.. You don’t have any issue or business with my wife…. I don’t want to believe that you would just end our friendship because of that”
“I think you need to emphasize the word friendship to your wife more often… She doesn’t seem to understand what it means ”
“That aside…… Are you still heading somewhere or you want to openly decline my ride offer ”
“Yeah whatever ”
“I’m starving…… Do you want us to stop by and grab dinner ”
“Why do I feel like you are bribing me ”
“Well let’s just call it truce…….. ”
“Okay….. It not like I can say no to you anyway ”
“Thank God, You know I don’t like No for an answer ”
He started the car and they drove to an eatery

Pascal arrived home late and Lucia was waiting in the living room
“Where are you coming from…… ”
“Don’t ask me that silly question… Where does it look like I’m coming from ”
“can you just check your wristwatch and see what the time says……. ”
“And so”
“What do you mean by And so, Are you the first man to work in this world….. That you dedicate all your time working and returning home at wee hours”
“I don’t have time for this nonsense this night, I’m exhausted ”
“That’s your problem…. i’m not the reason for that…… Dinner is on the table”
“i’m not hungry ”
That sparked all Lucia’s nerves and she stood quickly to look at her husband
“What did you just say ”
“You heard me”
“No You have to be kidding “.
