DARE TO LEAVE
Episode 15
Lucia wanted to find out if pascal was still giving Jenny a ride to work. So after setting the dinning this morning , she hurried out of the house.
Since she’s nowhere to be found, Pascal would be forced to take the kids to school and may not be able to pick up his side chick.
She took his car keys and Drove out with his car leaving her own keys on the table. Clear enough for him to see them.
She purposely left her phone in the house, so she would lie that she left it at home which was why she couldn’t answer his calls.
She hurried to the junction, he had picked her up… The first day she had saw them together
She parked the car and Stayed in with her head ducked backwards abit.. So she won’t notice it not Pascal in the car from afar.
She waited about twenty minutes before Jenny walked out of a building across the road and started walking towards the car.
Lucia watched her patiently from the side mirror as she moved towards the front seat and tried to open the door. Lucia raised her head slowly and Jenny jerked back surprised but Lucia has already gotten what she wanted to know.
She hopped down of the car quickly and rushed towards her.
“Are You surprised to see another driver here to pick you up?…. Why don’t you hop in?”
Jenny nod her head and pulled out her phone from her bag.
“What do you think you are doing?”
Jenny ignored her and starts to dial pascal’s number which she saved as Mr Fresh.
Lucia caught a glimpse of her husband’s number and dragged the phone from her
And hang up, the call
“What did you save my husband’s number as?….. ”
“Can I have my phone back?”
“You have guts little girl…… You have guts, You think you can just turn my family upside down… ”
“Look Lucia I don’t have time for this. Just gimme my phone ”
“To You it’s Mrs Leonard ”
“Whatever… Can I have my phone pls”?
“Why are you trying to destroy my home”?
“I think you should be having this conversation with your husband”.
“Just because am trying to reason with you doesn’t mean… That I am that sane…. If you choose to be a pest in my life.. I would make sure I ruin you”.
“Are You done ranting? ……. Give me my phone now……. Enough of this stupid talk and silly threats… I have work to do”.
“You think am making silly threats”.
“I think you need help”.
“By the time am done with you….. The one who will be needing help is you. This is your last warning”.
Jenny raised an eyebrow and shake her head. Lucia was about to hand her the phone but Mr Fresh call came through and Lucia felt so irritated.
Instead of handing her the phone, she let the phone drop and Jenny gasped. Lucia felt satisfied… With her reaction and head back to the car but before hopping in she point out two finger indicating that she would be watching her.
Before hopping into the car, Lucia drove by home in hopes that her family would have gone to their various destination.
When she saw her car still parked in the compound, she thought Pascal may have gone in a cab but when she opened her door and heard her kids voice.
She was stunned. What are they still doing here?
“Mommy…… ” Princess saw her before she could disappear.
She’s so screwed.
“Lucia… ” Pascal called out “where are coming from, where have you been, why did you leave in my car”
“Uhhhm… ” she tapped her feet as she tries to come up with an excuse.
“What….. What are you trying to say”.
“I….. I… Had to go do something quick… ”
“What was that thing you had to do…….. And you didn’t think to tell me about it”.
“It was kind of urgent…. And I had to leave immediately ”
“We live in the same house…. I was right here when you left or should I say sneak out”.
“I didn’t sneak out”.
“Then what could be so important…. You left everything you were suppose to do.”
“I didn’t think am sorry ”
“You took my car.. Why”
“I told you it was urgent….. I just took the first keys my hands could grab”
“Yours was laying right there”
“I didn’t check, It was when I got outside that I realized…. And I couldn’t come back in… Why didn’t you leave in mine?”
“Because I had important documents in that car… That I needed for a meeting this morning”.
Ohhh Sh!t
“Ohhh my Gosh.. Am so sorry. I didn’t know… And I didn’t even go with my phone. Gosh you must be running late… You should leave immediately… Here you go”
She stretch out the keys
He moved closer to her
“What exactly did you leave this house.. At seven am to do in my car”
“I already told you ” she tried to stay calm.
“I dont believe that lie ”
“Am not lying ”
“Then what was it” he yelled moving closer “that was so important you cost me an important meeting and left the kids running late.
“It.. Uhmm Lydia… Yes Lydia ”
“What about Lydia ”
“She called me to meet her and she said it was urgent ”
“What was it about ”
“Something about. … Getting a surrogate ”
She whispered.
“Surrogate…. You are unbelievable “.
He grabbed his keys and walked out of the room leaving her shaking.
He might just call Lydia now to find out
She picked up her phone and dialed Lydia.
“Come on pick up… Lydy… This is serious… My head is on the line here”.
