CHAPTER 27
Kim ran to her room to pick up a pen and paper, she wanted to write down Alex’s account details for Landon, so he could send her debt for her.
She got back to the hallway and saw he wasn’t there anymore. She then guessed he would be in his room.
She headed to his room and knocked on his door politely. She felt happiness in her because she was going to be free from Alex. But then, she remembered Landon wouldn’t just give her the money without asking for something in return.
The door opened and Landon stuck his head out of the door to see who it was.
“It is me,” Kim stated and he sighed opening the door for her to come in. She was in his room, and he walked back to the bed to lay down.
He has filled with Pasta already and he wanted to have a nap badly.
“What’s up?” He asked looking sleepy.
“The details, Alex’s account details,” Kim muttered and Landon nodded.
“So how do I pay you back?” She asked as he collected the paper from her.
“You will payback, I am yet to think about how you will.” He said laying on the bed and Kim sighed.
“I will have to work extra months right?” she asked and he nodded shutting his eyes.
“Not months, but years.” He said and Kim’s eyes widened.
“Years? Why years?” she asked and he smiled in his sleep.
“You are going nowhere. You are stuck with me.” He mumbled and she sighed knowing he was ranting nonsense.
“You are sleeping already. I will wait till you are awake.” She said turning to leave.
“Have you deleted his number? I don’t want his number on your phone.” Landon mumbled and she turned to look at him.
“I am yet to delete it. But I will.” She replied and he shook his head.
“Do it now.” He stated and she sighed.
“Why are you so concerned about that? Once I pay him back nothing is between us again.” Kim uttered and Landon opened his eyes abruptly sitting up.
“I don’t want to know that. All I want you to do is get rid of his number.” Landon uttered.
“Why are…” Kim stated but Landon cut her off very fast.
“If you need my help you need to do as I say. Get rid of his number because it doesn’t worth staying on your phone.” He stated and Kim sighed.
“Fine. I will do that.” She said turning to leave.
“Once I have confirmed it, then I can proceed to the payment.” He said laying back on the bed. Kim’s mouth fell apart as she turned to look at him.
“He meant it.” She thought sighing. She walked out of his room and headed to the living room. She wanted to check up on Landon’s guest.
She got to the living room and Saw Sara sleeping on the couch already. She searched for Abigail and saw her at the window.
She was on a phone call, and she saw her playing with her hair and smiling widely. Immediately, Kim understood what that meant.
She knew she was chatting with a guy. And she even lowered her voice as she spoke.
“Is she cheating on Landon?” She asked herself and then she shook her head afterward.
“What is my saying Kim? They are not even together…”
“Or are they?” She thought again still glaring at her as she spoke on phone.
Abigail turned slightly after feeling someone was behind her and saw Kim standing and looking at her. She frowned as their eyes met.
“Let me call you back.” She mumbled and hung up the call.
“That wasn’t necessary, I was just passing,” Kim muttered smiling and Abigail rolled her eyes.
“I don’t care what you were doing, I just want you far away from me, as far away as possible.” She stated with disgust and Kim smiled.
“I don’t come close to bitches, so you don’t have to worry. You are safe.” Kim said and Abigail felt hurt.
“Why do you hate me so much? What have I done to deserve this?” Abigail asked.
“I don’t hate you, but I need to stop you from seeing me as a maid in Landon’s house. I am not his maid.” Kim said.
“Then what are you to him? His girlfriend?” Abigail asked and Kim creased her brows.
She was about to talk when they both heard Sara couch, cutting their chat.
“Are you okay Ma’am?” Kim asked rushing to her.
“Oh yes. I am good. I need to sleep in my room.” Sara mumbled standing up.
“Which of the rooms is yours? I would help you clean it off.” Kim said and Sara smiled In response.
“I meant the room in my house. I would be taking my leave now. “She said and Kim shook her head.
“You can’t just leave, Landon is asleep and you need to bade each other goodbye before leaving,” Kim said.
“You don’t have to worry about that Kim, that is no big deal. All you have to do is take good care of him.” She said waving at Abigail to come closer.
“I will Ma’am. Thank you for coming.” Kim stated and Sara nodded walking to the door. Abigail and Kim exchanged looks before Abigail followed behind Sara.
They got out of the house and Kim breathed out feeling at ease. She went to lock the door and then climbed the stairs to her room.
She passed Landon’s room and saw his door was opened. She moved closer to look at the door and then noticed something odd.
She walked in and saw he looked deadly asleep.
“Landon.” She called fearfully and she got no response. She couldn’t see his chest rise and fall and Immediately tears filled her eyes.
She raised his hand and released it, and his hand fell back freely.
“Landon!!” she yelled.
