CHAPTER 32
“Thank you.” Landon said to the doctor acting strong.
The Doctor nodded and began to move out of the ward, when Kim turned to follow him.
“Don’t leave.” L,ndon said with fear in his voice, making Kim stop.
“I am not leaving, I will never do that. I just want to talk to the doctor.” Kim said cleaning the tears that rolled down her cheeks.
“Why? He doesn’t have anything to say anymore.” Landon uttered and Kim shook her head.
“I am not just going to sit down here and watch you die in seven days, Landon.” She muttered and Landon sighed.
“You can’t do anything about this. This is my fate.” He said and she shook her head.
“I can surely do something about it, and I will.” She replied and ran out of the ward weeping.
“Doctor!” She called out running after him. The doctor heard his name and stopped to look at her.
“Yes ma’am,” he responded and Kim stopped in front of him breathing hard.
“Run some tests on me.” She said and he raised his brows.
“Do you feel ill?” he asked and she shook his head.
“I need to know if I am capable of donating a kidney to him.” She said and his eyes widened.
“If I get you right, you want to give him one of your two kidneys.” The doctor said and she nodded in determination.
“Yes. So run some tests, I need to know if it is possible.” She said and he nodded reluctantly.
“Have you discussed this with Mr. Landon?” he said and she shook her head.
“No, and I don’t plan to. He wouldn’t let me, so let’s just keep this to ourselves until the transplant is successful.” She said and he nodded.
“Have you thought about this well? This is a lifetime decision, you can’t just rush into this.” He said and Kim bowed her head.
“I don’t want to lose him. I can’t take losing him, I can’t stand knowing he is dead because of my own silly mistakes. So yes, I have thought about it and that is my decision.” She uttered and the doctor nodded sighing.
“Fine. We would run the test now, follow me.” He said leading the way and she cleaned her eyes following behind him.

Kim’s father laid on his hospital bed, he was now conscious of what was going on. He looked beside him and saw Racheal busy on her phone.
“Racheal.” He called weekly and immediately she looked at him and smiled widely.
“Baby.” She called happily holding his hand, and he managed to smile.
He looked around the hospital ward and then back to his wife.
“Where is Kimberly?” He asked. He wished he saw her when he woke up. He missed her so much, she is his girl.
“At work. How do you feel?” Rachael asked.
“weird.” He responded and Racheal smiled.
“You will be fine. You just need more rest.” She stated and he nodded shutting his eyes.
“I wish to see Kimberly. Please tell her I want to see her.” He muttered and Racheal sighed.
“Okay, give me some minutes, I would put a call across to her outside.” She said and he smiled.
She walked out of the ward and put a call across to Kimberly. It began to ring but no one was picking up.
She tried it again and waited for her to pick up. She finally picked up…
“hi, she isn’t with here. When she arrives, I would tell her you called.” Landon answered from the other end.
“Oh… is this Landon Hernandez?” She asked in excitement .
“Yes M, ma’am.” L, and responded.
“Oh thank goodness it is you, you are truly an angel sent from God.” She said and Landon creased his brows.
“I don’t understand you, Ma’am.” He said and she began to cry.
“Kim’s father, my husband needs an operation. This operation needs some amount of money which I don’t have. That is why I am calling Kimberly if she could help out.” Racheal started tears.
“how much is it ma’am?” Landon asked.
“$7500. It is too much r, right? I don’t know what to do. Kimberly would be so hurt to know her father would be needing an operation after paying $1000.” She muttered.
“Don’t worry. Kimberly won’t know about this. I would do something about it.” Landon replied and Racheal leaped for joy.
“Yes!” she whispered.
“Thank you so much. I would be so happy if you don’t tell her what is going on, I don’t want her to feel down.” She said and Landon nodded.
“Don’t worry Mrs.Racheal. She wouldn’t hear a word about this from me.” He replied and she smiled wickedly.
“I would send you the account details now. Thank you.” She said hurriedly and hung up.
“Yes!” she tells jumping for joy again. She couldn’t believe she could fool Landon Hernandez so easily.
She adjusted her clothes and her looks before walking into the ward again.
“So, is she coming?” Her father asked and Racheal shook her head sadly.
“No. She isn’t chanced.” She replied and he sighed.
“Kim would never say she is not chanced when it comes to her father.” He said and Rachel scoffed.
“Many things have changed since you got into this hospital. But don’t worry, she would drop by as soon as she is chanced. That, I am sure of.” She stated and he nodded.
He found it hard to believe what Racheal was saying.
“Maybe she is saying the truth, many things must have happened when I was unconscious.” He thought looking at Racheal who was beaming widely.
