“Thank you so much, sir. I would love it if it was possible this week.” He said and hung up the call.
“Who was that?” Haley asked wrapping herself around Landon, and he held and cuddled her.
“A businessman. He is helping out with the traveling we talked out.” He said and she nodded.
“So soon? That is impressive.” She said and he smiled.
“I don’t want to waste any more time. I just want you to get out of here, far away from Alex and this environment.” He said.
“so when do you plan on calling Alex and giving him what we plan on giving him?” she asked and Landon sighed looking at the ceiling.
“I was thinking of meeting him at an open place, like a restaurant instead of our house. I just want to be very careful when dealing with him.” He said and she nodded.
“I would love to be there with you when presenting it to him. I just want to show appreciation to him.” She said and Landon looked at her.
“Are you sure? You know I can do that for you right?” he asked and she bobbed.
“I know but it would be so unfair of me if I just let you do everything. He saved my life and I didn’t even say thank you when I realized he was the one. That is so cruel of me and I have to appreciate him.” She said and he nodded.
“Fine. You are free to come but I would be with you throughout all time.” He said and she smiled.
“of course, where else do you want to be? So when do you plan on giving him?” she asked.
“Tomorrow would be okay, right? I have the day off from work and you are not going anywhere. Not when I am around.” He said and she laughed.
“I know. Tomorrow is also okay. I just want to get it off my mind.” She said sighing and Landon smiled.
“I know you do.” He replied standing up and picking up his phone.
“Where are you going?” she asked furrowing her brows.
“I want to make a phone call. It’s nothing baby.” He said and she nodded reluctantly.
“Why is he going away before making this call?” she asked herself as he walked out of the room. Landon walked out and stopped at the edge of the stairs and dialed Ruby’s number.
She picked up almost immediately. She was definitely on her phone before the call came in.
“Hey, Ruby.” He greeted.
“Hi, sir.” She responded.
“How are you? Please I need your help.” He uttered.
“I am all ears, sir.” She said and he sighed.
“Can we make that surprise tomorrow? I would love to ask her tomorrow. I can’t wait anymore.” He said and she wowed.
“Tomorrow? That is an impromptu situation. I am yet to even pick a restaurant to use, I haven’t talked to the designers and all.” She said and Landon sighed.
“That doesn’t matter. I would pay any amount, I just need us to meet today and look for a vacant restaurant for usage tomorrow.” He said.
“But I am still at work sir.” She responded.
“I allow you to leave right now. I would meet you at the Park, I would be in my car.” He said and she smiled.
“I would meet you there sir.” She said and Landon hung up.
He looked around and saw nobody was watching, so he went back to the room and met Kim still laying on the bed.
“Hey, babe.” He said smiling and she smiled back.
“Hey. You are done?” She asked and he bobbed.
“But unfortunately, I would have to catch up with someone right now.” He said and Kim arched her brows.
“Really? Who?” She asked and Landon smiled.
“Ruby. We want to talk business.” He said and Kim nodded slowly.
“Really? Why not come home to discuss it? I don’t want you to go anywhere.” She said pouting her mouth and he walked up to her and kssed her lips.
“Baby I would take long okay? It is not something we can talk about at home. I don’t want to leave you too you know? But this is work.” He said and she nodded sadly.
“Okay then. Please don’t stay long.” She said and he bobbed walking to his closet and picking up one of his outfits.
He was dressing and Kim watched him dress. She eavesdropped when Landon was on the call and she wasn’t happy with him going.
She didn’t understand what he was saying to the person but she felt he wouldn’t hurt her so she tried to erase the thoughts from her mind.
