CHAPTER 34
“Babe, are you done?” Landon asked walking into the room with his car keys in his hands.
“I am almost done…” She said emphasizing the ‘done’.
“And, done.” She added as soon as she was done blending her lipstick.
“Wow, baby you look gorgeous.” He commented as soon as she got up from the chair.
“Thanks, babe. The gown you got fits me perfectly.” She uttered and he smiled nodding.
“You know I am good at anything I do.” He said giggling and Kim nodded.
“I know right. C’mon, let’s go see that man and get back to the house. I want to do this once and for all.” She said and Landon nodded.
“I need to tell you something, Kim.” He said and immediately, Kim’s heart skipped.
“What is it this time Landon?” She asked fearfully.
“I need you to do whatever I tell you to do without questioning me okay?” He asked and she furrowed her grows and finally nodded.
“Okay.” She said still very much confused.
“You trust me right?” He asked and she nodded.
“Of course I do trust you baby. I would do whatever you ask of me.” She replied and Landon smiled nodding.
“Okay then. Let us go.” He said reaching for her hand and they began to walk out of the room. They got to the living room, and they sighed Peter.
He was looking all dressed up which made Kim giggle.
“This is so funny. He is giving him a token of appreciation Dad, not throwing him a Party.” She said and Peter laughed.
“I would take that as a compliment,” he said and Kim hugged him, been very careful of the makeup on her face as she did.
“You look super handsome Dad.” She complimented as they disengaged.
“You look exquisite. Landon must be a very good fashion sensed personality,” he said and Kim looked at Landon, who felt flattered with Peter’s compliments.
“Thanks, Dad,” he said smiling.
“And Landon, you are looking do hot in those,” Kim said adjusting the Blazers Landon wore and he giggled.
“Can we go now? We don’t have time on outside you know?” He asked and they both nodded. They walked out of the house and headed to the car park.
Peter got into the back seat, while Landon and Kim sat in front.

“Alex, are you sure you don’t want me to go with you?” Rachael asked and Alex shook his head.
“This would make it the fifth time I am telling you I would go alone. I won’t stay long, just get the stuff they want to give me and then head back home. No big deal.” He said and she nodded sighing.
“Okay. I just missed my daughter that is why. Just want to have the chance to see her again.” She said and he looked at her.
“You can do that another day, not today. Period.” He said and she nodded swallowing hardly.
“See you soon.” He said planting a very brief kss on her cheeks after grabbing his keys and he walked out of the house.

“And here we are,” Landon said with a broad smile on his face.
“This is a very big restaurant. Did we need such a huge place to meet with Alex?” Kim asked and Landon nodded hoping down the car.
“Trust me.” He said walking towards Kim’s door and opened it. At this time, Peter had already gotten down from the car too.
Kim came down and he offered her his hand as help.
“This restaurant doesn’t seem open. The windows are even locked, I can’t see through the window.” Kim uttered narrowing her gaze as she stared at the restaurant.
They walked to the door of the restaurant when Landon stopped walking all of a sudden and Kim turned to look at him.
“What?” She asked.
“Remember what I told you at home?” He asked and she nodded.
“I should do whatever you ask me to do.” She responded and Peter and Landon exchanged looks.
“Great. So now, I need you to close your eyes,” he said and she arched her brows.
“Okay, this is weird.” She said looking at Peter and Peter just responded with a smile.
“You say you trust him right? Do as he says okay?” Peter said and this made her a little calm.
“Okay. If you say so.” She said and shut her eyes.
Excitedly, Landon pulled out the piece of cloth he had in his pocket and wrapped it neatly.
He placed it carefully on her eyes and tied it firmly and carefully.
“Okay, now I can see nothing.” She said and Landon giggled.
“That is what I want. Come with me.” Landon whispered in her ears and held her by the hand. She held unto him firmly because she was scared of falling.
Peter rushed to the restaurant and signaled to the people in the restaurant silently. They opened the door and began to clear the curtain they placed on the windows.
Peter walked in and felt so satisfied and happy with what he was seeing. He felt so happy for both of them and couldn’t wait to see Kim’s reaction after she sees this surprise.
Landon got to the door and helped Kim into the restaurant.
“This is taking like forever Landon, I am so scared,” Kim mumbled, and then he walked to her back, reached for the knot he had tied behind her head, and loosened it.
“Still keep your eyes closed baby.” He said still making sure he didn’t drop the cloth off her eyes.
He rushed to her front, knelt and brought of the ring box from his pocket, and stretched it out.
“You can open your eyes now.” He said and Kim sighed getting the cloth off her eyes and opening her eyes.
“You know this wasn’t necessary…” She said and she became dumbfounded when she saw him on his knees.
