“Go ahead, try to sI.ap me, and I won’t hesitate to pIuc¢k out your eyes!!!” Paige yells pointing the knlfe directly at his eyes.
Vince looks at her speechlessly, he wasn’t expecting this from her.
“Try to land that fiIthy hand of yours on me and let’s see if you will be able to use those eyes for yours again” Paige said with so much anger.
The fact that she made the boy she loves so much cry and also sending his mom to coma, made her felt like sI.itting his th.roat with the knlfe.
But she was trying to control herself. She wouldn’t want to become a mvrderer and no matter how eviI and heartless Vince was, he was still and will always be Carding’s Dad.
Paige gulped down hard, but the knife was still an inch away from his eyes.
Vince said no words to Paige, he was just staring at her in dismay.
Carding came downstairs and his eyes widened, seeing the scence in front of him.
“Paige”
Paige slowly turn to him and brought down the knlfe.
Vince smirks.
“Did you hire someone from the ghetto to humiliate me?” Vince asked.
“She’s my friend and not someone from the ghetto”
Vince scoffs and looks at Paige, who glared at him.
“Don’t you even feel remorseful for what you did? My mom is in coma thanks to you. Don’t you have any sympathy for what you did to her?” Carding asked.
And Vince looks at him with a glare filled with hatred.
“And since when have I ever cared about you both?”
Carding folds his fist tightly.
“You should know from the very day you were born that I never wanted you. If not for my reputation, I won’t have taken your mom in to become my stupid mistress, you both mean nothing to me Carding. Your mom is useless, and you take after her so well. You can’t even take after the company business, I just hate you both so much. If you know how much I hate you, you’d have left a long time ago”
“I wanted to live this house so badly but I couldn’t because my mom is stupidly in love with you. I can’t leave her with a monster like you, I guess she’s going to realize you aren’t worth her love when she wakes up from coma, and that’s why I’m leaving… For good”
Vince smirks.
“The door is wide opened for you Carding, leave and never come back” Vince said and Paige looks at him with unbelievable eyes, and she could see how hurt Carding was feeling right now.
“But you ain’t leaving with your debit cards” Vince added and Carding looks at him.
“I may not have cherish you, but at least I gave you a luxurious life, and since you finally decided to leave, you aren’t leaving this house with the debit cards I always wire money on. Drop the debit cards and go live your life as a pauper, I don’t fking care if you die of hardship” Vince said without any emotions in his eyes.
Carding gulps down his painful saliva. He brought out five credit cards from his wallet and drop it on the Tempered glass table.
“Now leave and never show that face of yours to me, ever again” Vince said.
Carding fights back his tears and without saying a word, he left the house.
Paige without fear walks closer to Vince.
“Your surely going to regret this, maybe your forgetting that Carding is the only son you have. You won’t remain this way forever, your going to grow extremely old one-day, and you’ll need the love and care of a son, but I’m telling you, you won’t ever see it. The table is going to turn on you pretty soon, mark my word” Paige said as painful tears falls down her eyes.
She may not be in Carding’s shoes right now, but she could clearly understand the pains he was feeling. Being rejected by your old fresh and blood is the most hurtful thing on Earth.
Vince smirks and said.
“Are you done bluffing? Then get lost”
Paige takes in her lips.
“I may not have tasted the goodies of life, but I’m so thankful that God never gave me a father like you, Cuz I’d have klled you a long time ago. Don’t think of showing this rejected face of yours to me, I might do surgery on it” Paige said and leaves the house.
Vince looks at her and smirks.
“She’s gonna hear from me pretty soon, let’s see how tough she’s going to be when I strike”.

Paige sighs as she keeps searching for Carding.
“Where did he go?” She muffled.
She was about crossing to the other side of the road, when she saw him sitting alone in one of the public bench in the streets, looking at a couple who was walking and playing with their five years old son.
Paige sighs before going to him, she sits beside him and Carding looks at her.
“Stop looking at them, your only going to get hurt” She said.
“I guess my Dad must really hate me a lot, Or will he have loved me if I was birthed by the woman he loves?”
“The woman he loves?”
“I don’t know much about her, but my mom once told me about her. Her name was Tessa”
“Where is she now?”
“My dad has never mentioned her name, but according to what my mom told me, she said Tessa died from an accident and the day she died, My Dad wasted himself in alcohol, She too was suffering from a heartbreak, they met at a clubhouse and both had sx, and that resulted in my mom becoming pregnant and also fell helplessly in love with my Dad.
Maybe if was birthed by that late Miss Tessa, he’d have love me, right? Since I came from the woman he loves and not the woman he hates, right?” Carding asked sadly.
Paige sighs and pats his hair.
“Don’t think about that anymore Carding, it’ll only bring tears to your eyes”.
“One day when I get married, I’m going to make sure my kids don’t pass through the pains I went through while growing up. I’m going to be the best Dad and husband” Carding said wiping his tears.
Paige looks at him and smiles.
“I’m sure you will the best father and husband”
Carding looks at her and Paige smiles.
Carding’s eyes went to her lips, and slowly he began leaning his lips on hers.
Paige close her lips, ready to taste his sweet tasty lips again, but it was distracted by a call from Edward. Carding withdraws slowly.
Paige clears her throat before answering the call.
“Hello Dad”
“Where’re you both? Did that Carding’s Dad do something ho.rrible to you too?”
“Dad, it seems your forgetting who I’m. I’m a tigress when I’m mad” Paige said and Carding smiles looking at her.
“Then come home already, your making your mom worry about you” Edward said.
“Alright Dad” Paige said and ends the call.
She looks at Carding and Carding creased his brows.
“Let’s get you adapted to your new life”
Carding smiles.

THE CROMWELL’S MANSION***
Angelo knocked on Dylan’s door and when he didn’t open up, he went in and met Dylan on the floor crying.
“Are you still on it again?” Angelo asked, cuz he knew why Dylan was crying.
“My parents still blames me for what happened to Desmond, Angelo. And they’re right is all my fault”
Angelo sighs and sits beside him.
“I’ve told you countless times that you aren’t to be blame Dylan. Stop soaking yourself in tears, and let’s find a way to help Carding”.
“Carding? What happened to him?” Dylan asked cleaning his tears.
Angelo heaves and told him everything.
“Is he okay? Where’s he now?” Dylan asked worriedly.
“Apparently he’s at Paige’s house, His Dad took his entire debit cards”
“What? How’s Carding going to survive? He may not have been treated like a son, but he has lived in luxury for 18 good years”.
“I know. And as his best friends, this is where we come in, let’s help him out” Angelo said and Dylan nods.
