CHAPTER 71

“Channeling the anger you feel for your mother to your sister is a sign of weakness and my son isn’t supposed to have such an unreasonable weakling as an uncle!”

Jeslyn’s voice sounded from Maverick’s phone.

Rex was startled, he immediately hurried towards his brother and grabbed the phone from him, and started. He looked at the caller ID before talking pitifully.

“Sister-in-law, you all are bullying me emotionally! That girl has done a lot to me from the day she was born. She schemed against me countless times and also got me in trouble multiple times. I am aggrieved!” he lamented.

“The brother-in-law I know must have sought his revenge by now… Piper must have eaten a lot of losses from you, so you both are even…” Jeslyn said.

“Hehe, of course. I won’t be Rex if I don’t teach her a life lesson.” Rex chuckled, remembering what he did to Piper in return.

Jeslyn continued, “Do you know the feeling of protecting a sibling? What about the feeling of being a prince saving the damsel in distress? You don’t, right?”

Rex sighed, this sister-in-law of his has too much good rubbish in that small head of hers. Of course, he has saved some damsels in distress and knows how it feels to be the hero in their hearts, but as she said, he has never saved a sibling before. He’s the only one getting his ass saved by Maverick all the time.

Her voice came again;

“Here’s the thing, why don’t you steal Piper’s heart and let her be consumed by guilt instead?”

A smile ran unto Rex’s lips. That’s a good idea! Why didn’t he think about that?

Saving Piper who also hates him as much as he hates her would mean that she’ll feel guilty for everything she had done to him in the past. Also, it would make her feel inferior to him. Hahahaha… so he thought.

Rex cleared his throat. Like he was being forced, he said begrudgingly, “On the condition that you’ll come home and cook me something delicious.”

“Deal,” Jeslyn responded.

Rex ended the call and laughed out loud, then he raised his nose in the air with so much pride and arrogance that he missed the demi devil who just walked in through the door, wearing his school uniform.

“When did you make my mum your cook?”

Valen’s voice startled Rex and he jumped in fright. He patted his chest and yelled, “Do you want to give me a heart attack?!”

“How is it my fault that your heart is weak?” Valen rolled his eyes and snorted.

Rex took a deep breath, then looked from Maverick to Valen a couple of times before he turned and matched out without dropping Maverick’s phone.

“Aren’t you giving the phone back?” Damien asked with a smile. He had been laughing since.

“No, if he needs it, let him come for it.” he stormed out after that.

“Hahahaha…” Damien laughed. “Chaos, what are you going to do now without your phone? Your brother thinks you’ll be phoneless for some days. Hahahaha…”

Who cares if their phones go missing or abandoned? They all have backup phones, so what Rex did was no way at all to punish Maverick.

Rex knows that too but he just wanted to collect the phone and add it to his collection of things he had taken from Maverick.

Valen gazed at his uncle’s back as he was walking away with pride. He shook his head and sighed before heading upstairs with his backpack.

“Dad, neighbor Damien,” he greeted while going up the stairs.

“You bad child, you should call me uncle!” Damien yelled. He had told this little child time and time again to stop calling him neighbor, but still….

“Freeloader Damien, when are you leaving?” Valen threw the question nonchalantly without stopping or looking back as he climbed the stairs with one hand in his pocket and the other hand holding the strap of his school bag.

“Pttf! Cough! Cough!”

Damien choked on his drink and the guards standing around tried to stop themselves from laughing out loud.

Before Damien could talk, Maverick butted in, “Kimberly will be discharged soon…”

Damien’s eyes widened and sharply turned to stare at Maverick, “Re– really?!” his lips quivered.

How long has it been that this demon didn’t allow him to see Kimberly for once? He has missed her so much that he no longer feels whole.

Now that she’ll be discharged, he can take her away. He smiled but before the smile could stretch to fill his face, Maverick killed it.

“She can’t be with you,” he said nonchalantly.

Damien almost puked blood. Among all the people in this world, why did he fall in love with Maverick’s sister?

Yes, Damien found out from Rex that Kimberly was their half-sister and ever since, he had been sitting on pins, knowing that Maverick wouldn’t make things easy for him.

Worst of all, Maverick took the chip from him for nothing! Since Kimberly was Maverick’s sister, undoubtedly, he would have saved her without Damien having to do or pay anything. Too bad he fell into Maverick’s plot.

“Chaos, please cut me some slack. I’ve suffered enough, haven’t I?”

Maverick shook his head, “my wife had worse,” he uttered.

Damien sighed, “I didn’t cause all her suffering, her sister did,” he opposed.

“Doesn’t matter,” Maverick side-eyed him.

“Fine, what do you want?”

“Clean your house,” Maverick instructed.

Maverick wanted him to clear the path before Kimberly went into his house. His sister, born from his loving father, must not suffer more than she already did. Although he feels nothing for her, he knew that his father would have treated her with love if he knew her existence.

“That’s fine,” Damien wanted to wait a little longer to get his arrangement in place before appearing in public but now, he seems to have no choice.

Damien had no idea that one of the punishments Maverick planned for him was to enter a battle with Emilee without getting ready.

With that, he’ll lose more, so that by the time Maverick is done with him, Damien’s family would be pushed out of the rank of the three greatest families.

Standing in front of Maverick, who was about to enter his black car, Code 10 reported his findings.

“Boss, we couldn’t find her. I sent the earring we found to Inspector Fin for a fingerprint scan.”

“Leave it be,” Maverick said without interest. His brows were furrowed as he stared at his new phone which he just concluded a call with.

“Yes, boss,” Code 10 answered but in his mind, he prays his boss would be able to handle Jeslyn’s anger if she finds out her husband is not interested in Piper’s case.

Unbeknownst to Code 10, Rex has taken over the matter with Piper’s disappearance, which was why Maverick seemed not to care.

Moreover, there’s something more important that needs his attention right now.

Maverick shifted his gaze from his phone to Code 2 who was standing beside the front passenger seat of the car. “Get the men ready,” with that, Maverick entered the car with Code 10 and Code 2 in front.

Code 10 has no idea what the problem was but Code 2 does, so without further ado, he pulled out his device that could summon the men under him.

THE LAST MINUTE GROOM SEASON 2: CHAPTER 71 – 80

Rex was seen getting down from his car in front of a big wine mansion.

With a few men behind him, he strode towards the house in front of him.

All the guards standing around the house pointed their guns at him but didn’t dare to shoot… who doesn’t know the blue-haired Rex? The guards didn’t have the courage to court death.

“If you don’t dare to shoot, lower those toys. Seeing them might get me angry,” Rex said languidly with a sweet smile plastered on his ever-handsome and youthful face.

The guards slowly lowered their guns, but were standing at alert, in case Rex and his people suddenly starts a war.

“I’m not here to eat, bring me to Feng Gu,” he instructed.

Feng Gu is oldest brother Feng… the one everyone thought would be the next family head.

One of the guards standing close to the mansion’s door, pressed on his two-way walkie-talkie earphone. He gave a report to someone and a few minutes later, A bulky bald man, wearing black shades, opened the front door to the mansion and stepped out.

“Young Master Lu, please,” he gestured with his hands for Rex to follow him to the back of the house where there’s a garden.

Behind the house, an old man with white hair was seen playing ‘Go’ alone in the lush garden with fine greenery accompanied by the sweet smell of flowers.

Rex was startled when he saw the old man. His intern said he traveled, so what is the old man doing here?

“I never thought you’d come,” the old man said with a calm voice as he placed a white stone on the board. He didn’t raise his head but was sure that Rex was here.

Although Rex felt nervous, he didn’t cower nor let his fear show. “The old man’s ears are still very active but your children’s eyes are blind,” Rex replied while walking towards the man in a lazy and tired manner.

The old man wasn’t fazed. He continued to play his game in silence for a while before he requested, “This old bones haven’t played a great game for a long time, I would like to taste your skills.”

“Old man Feng, this Young Master is a very busy person and is not in any mood to play games,” Rex sat in front of the old man who still hasn’t raised his head since.

“This old bone is afraid that Lu Yangzhou will grow mad if he knew you rejected my offer,” the old man continued, not wanting to take a ‘no’ for an answer.

He was trying to blackmail Rex with Rex’s grandfather. He thought that by bringing Old Man Lu into this, he could compel Rex to do his bidding. It’s been a long he played this game with someone and wanted to try it with Rex.

“Ah, I thought only the children have eyesight problems, even the old man is deaf and blind… too bad–”

Sounds of cracking guns interrupted Rex. The old man raised his hand to stop his men that were hanging around him.

Rex hissed in annoyance. This is why he hates talking business with old people. Stupid guards are always the first to interrupt with their busybodies. Does it look like he wants to kill this old man? Can he even kill the old man even if he wanted to?

“My men are hot-blooded,” the old man smiled and put down his hand.

Rex chuckled, “Old man Feng, why do your words sound like a threat?”

Telling Rex that his men are hot-blooded sounded like the old man was trying to warn Rex that if he ordered Rex’s death, the men behind him won’t think about Rex’s background before they kill Rex.

“Hehe, Young Master Lu jokes too much… what brings you to my abode, Young Master?” the old man finally raised his head. His eyes were white like a blind person’s.

Rex’s heart thumped when he saw those white emotionlessly eyes. They gave the vibe of a blind man, at the same time, a sorcerer.

Even though Rex wasn’t comfortable staring at the man’s eyes, he still did because Maverick had told him in the past to never cower in front of this man or show any fear. The reason is not known but Rex is an obedient man, so he follows everything Maverick said without questions asked.

“Your family has what belongs to us, Lu brothers and we want her back,” Rex replied, holding the old man’s eyes with his before he codedly shifted his gaze away.

“Oh? Young Master Lu seems to like jokes a lot,” he replied and shifted his gaze back to the Go he was playing.

“Call your children to send Piper back. With every hair that leaves her head, your children would be asking for war.”

ODESSA AND INDIGO’S ROOM*

Odessa entered into the room and she almost screamed out seeing the mess Indigo made,the whole room was turned upside down,everything scattered on the floor.

“What’s going on here?” Odessa asked and Indigo faced her,she was fuming with anger.

“I should be asking you what the hell is going on! How dare she do that to me in front of everyone?!! She disgraced me!!” Indigo screamed.

“What does that have to do with me? Am I Genny? I don’t understand,I’m asking you the reason why you scattered my room” Odessa said.

“It’s my room as well and I can whatever I want with it” Indigo said,still breathing heavily. The memory of how she fell on her knees in front of Genny refused to leave her head,she felt like dying at the moment.

“Seriously? It’s you room also? You fucking messed everywhere up!” Odessa snapped angrily.

“I don’t care! I was angry and I needed to lash my anger out on something!” Indigo yelled back.

Odessa glared at her,she clenched her fists and stormed out of the room,she closed the door loudly behind her.

“I hate everyone!!!!” Indigo screamed.

*you’re acting dumb right now* her inner self groaned.

“What am I supposed to do?! She took him away from me,you saw everything,everyone looked down on me because of her” Indigo snapped.

*We should get a solution instead and get rid of her first,that’s the only way* Her inner self said and Indigo released a loud sigh.

GENNY’S ROOM*

“Genny!!” Ondine and Juna screamed out immediately Genny entered the room,she smiled cutely and ran to hug them,they carried her up in the process making her laugh out.

“I missed you so much” Juna pouted,hugging her alone this time.

“Me too,honestly” Genny said.

“We heard about everything,I’m so happy for you! Seriously” Ondine gushed and Genny laughed.

“Thank you”

“So we were thinking of arranging your stuffs so you can move into Thane’s quarters and…..”

“What?! No!” Genny exclaimed.

“Why? You don’t want to?” Juna asked.

Genny shook her head slightly.

“Come on,are you chasing me away?” She pouted.

“Of course not,we just thought you might want to do that”

“Nope,I’m staying here no matter what. That doesn’t mean I won’t see him anytime I want,so” Genny replied.

“Thank goodness,I was already thinking you would ditch us” Ondine shook her head and they laughed.

“I heard about what you did to that witch..Indigo,that serves her right,don’t you dare feel guilty for nothing” Juna scoffed.

“Thanks” Genny smiled.

“Seriously we have a lot of gists for you,come here” They dragged her closer and the three of them settled on Ondine’s bed.

ODESSA’S NEW ROOM*

Odessa stood by the window side,she was holding a fried chicken wing in her hand that she munched on while watching the guards bring in her things from the old room,she decided to start staying alone and she was immediately given another room,more bigger and comfortable than where she stay with Indigo.

“Seriously? What’s going on here?” Orion entered,looking around,he walked over to Odessa who just stood there,eating hungrily.

“Hungry wolf,what happened? Why are you here?” Orion asked,standing in front of her.

Odessa made sure she finished chewing the meat in her mouth and swallowed before speaking up.

“You know I don’t like trouble right?” She asked.

“You mean the opposite right?” Orion grinned and she frowned.

“I really don’t like trouble,I only retaliate when people tempt me and you know that” She said.

“Let’s say that’s right then” Orion muttered.

“Indigo is messing with my brain,If she was someone else,I would have destroyed her face with my claws without thinking twice,she fucking messed up the whole room because of one silly anger I don’t care about. I don’t want to fight her for old time sake,so I just went straight to get the key to this room,they already cleaned it up so…my things are here also. All I need to do is arrange my things properly” She said and continue eating her chicken.

“Are you hungry?” Orion asked.

“I’m starving” She replied with full mouth and Orion chuckled.

The guards left the room after they finished bringing her bags and they closed the door.

“Oh finally” Odessa groaned and fell on the bed,she grabbed Orion’s hand and he sat down beside her.

“You can come here anytime” She said.

“Why would I come here anytime?” Orion asked.

“If you don’t come,I will go to yours” She scoffed.

“Seriously?” Orion chuckled.

“I just came here because I saw those guards moving,I asked them and they mentioned your name” Orion said and stood up.

“I can finally breathe….even though this place doesn’t feel like when I’m at the palace,at least now I’m here alone” Odessa smiled.

“Congrats” Orion said.

“Are you leaving?” Odessa immediately stood up.

“Of course,I told you I was just walking and….”

She hugged him and rest her head on his chest.

“Can’t you stay a little bit more?” She asked.

“No I can’t,sorry” Orion replied and she broke the hug.

“Fine…see you later” She smiled.

“Yeah” Orion nods and went out.

Odessa climbed back on her bed and closed her eyes to sleep.

CHRONICLES OF RAVENWOOD : CHAPTER 41 – 50

5PM*

In the training area, many students were practicing their special powers. Master Nyx walked around, watching and guiding them.

Some students were moving objects with their minds, while others were creating fire, water, and earth elements. One student was controlling shadows, making them move and twist like living things. Master Nyx helped her refine her skills.

Two students were having a friendly battle, using their powers to create colorful sparks and energy blasts. Master Nyx watched closely, offering tips to improve their techniques.

Among the students in higher rank,Kymani and Indigo were absent.

“What about Kymani and Indigo?” Master Casen asked from the front where he stood,his two hands behind him as usual.

“Kymani want to skip the training today” Zarek answered.

“What about Indigo?” He asked and some people looked at Odessa.

“We are no longer roomies,stop looking at me,it’s annoying” Odessa said calmly.

“Genny and Thane?” The master asked further.

“Training privately” Orion spoke up,he was standing next to Beorn and Sage.

“There’s a special assignment for you guys” Master Casen said and there was dead silence.

“That’s why only rank A and B are here….it’s been a while since we’ve done this and finally there’s a way to show all those years of training” Master Casen said and some of the students started giggling among themselves.

“There’s a mission?” Thane came into the hall,Genny right beside him,they are both sweating like they’ve exhausted themselves with dangerous trainings.

“You’re here” Master Casen said and smiled a little.

Thane and Genny stood aside,separate from others.

“We got a report” Master Casen said and then continued.

“A nearby village is plagued by mysterious spirits,,I heard there’s one haunted mansion there where those spirits lives but they keep attacking the villagers every night,some people left the village but there are some who have nowhere to go. They are living in fear,they can’t even go to their own farms for food….so…”

“Are you saying we are going to help them face those spirits and chase them away?” Kalysta asked with wide eyes.

“Are you scared Kalysta?” Master Casen asked.

“Of course I am” Kalysta responded.

“Because the only thing she can do is create poison” Odessa said and everyone laughed.

“Maybe she can make poison and venoms to kill those evil spirits,who knows” Beorn said and they laughed again.

“Don’t worry,you know how it’s done. I will pick randomly from those whose powers and abilities are mostly needed for the mission,that’s why I wanted everyone to be present” Master Casen said.

Just like that,Kymani and Indigo came in together and all eyes fell on them.

Indigo and Odessa’s eyes met and she rolled his eyes,standing next to Kymani.

“So everyone’s here” Master Casen said.

“We might be needing just ten out of you….”

“Wait,is this like an adventure? We will be sleeping in that evil spirits village?” Kalysta asked again.

“Of course,you think getting rid of evil spirits takes just one day?” Odessa groaned.

“That’s right” Kalysta mumbled.

Genny chuckled and shook her head.

“So I have the list here already” Master Casen said and there was silence as they all anticipated for him to call the names.

“And don’t worry…the alpha is well aware of this,I got his permission first before accepting the report” Master Casen said and they all nodded.

“Thane,Orion,Odessa,Indigo,Kymani,Maren,Sage,Beorn,Ophelia,and Atticus” Master Casen listed.

Genny took her lips in when she didn’t hear her name,not like she was expecting him to add her.

“But…what about me?” Astrid asked,poking her chest.

“You and Ophelia possess the same abilities,so we have to choose one out of you two” Master Casen replied.

“Then you choose her,,are you sure this is not because of what happened before?” Astrid asked rudely.

“It’s okay master,I will just stay back,she can follow” Ophelia said.

“Don’t make me the bad person,I will stay” Astrid rolled her eyes and walked away.

“So…we are not going anywhere” Lila pouted and hugged Luna sadly.

“The rest,,are you okay with it?” Master Casen asked and they nodded.

“I won’t be going” Thane spoke up and all eyes fell on him.

“What? You think this will be posible without you?” Master Casen asked with wide eyes.

“I’m not going anywhere without Genny though” Thane said coldly and grabbed Genny’s hand.

“Let’s go,I don’t have time for this” He mumbled and they already started walking.

“She can go with you of course….”

“Not she can go with me!” Thane growled and the master kept quiet.

“How dare you look down on her”

“No,its not that. It’s because of her own protection….”

“She can protect herself,and I will protect her also. How dare you add my name without my mate’s name? Should I burn you?” Thane snapped and Genny immediately tapped him to calm down.

“Make the list right and show me again” Thane said and dragged Genny away with him.

The rest of the students started leaving also.

“He’s so cool” Beorn groaned beside Sage,his face up.

“What about me?” Sage asked and Beorn glanced at him.

“You? What?”

“I’m cool too,are you blind to see it?” Sage scoffed and Beorn laughed.

“Of course you’re cool,I know that” He said.

Genny immediately hugged Thane as soon as they entered his bedroom.

“I was already imagining staying here without you” She mumbled,resting her head on his chest.

“You really love to imagine rubbish,you think I will leave without you? I rather stay” Thane said.

Genny smiled and broke the hug.

“Let’s go out” She said.

“Out? Where?”

“Anywhere…how about a park? I’ve always wanted to go there with my friend or boyfriend but I never had one” Genny said.

“Then,let’s go” Thane said and she smiled.

“Right now?”

“Of course,you can take your bath here”

“My clothes aren’t here,so I will just go to my room…..”

“Why can’t you just bring your things here?” Thane groaned.

“Sorry” Genny pouted.

She pecked his lips and ran out.

Thane also went into the bathroom to get ready.

Minutes later,they met in front of the building,Thane was already waiting so Genny joined. it was already getting darker,the time is about 6pm.

“How do I look?” Genny asked,turning around in front of him.

She was putting on a cropped graphic t-shirt with a high waist mini skirt and sneakers. Simple but beautiful.

“You look hot,let’s go” Thane spanked her @ss and she gasped,she looked around and saw all the guards eyes turned away.

“Must you do that?” She asked in a whisper.

“I admit I’m a pervert” Thane muttered.

*Don’t mind her,she loves it* Tonith said and Genny groaned.

“Of course I know she does” Thane chuckled.

They entered one of his cars and he drove out of the institute.

CHRONICLES OF RAVENWOOD : CHAPTER 41 – 50

AT THE PARK*

The amusement park was fun and bright at night. People were laughing and screaming with excitement. Thane and Genny were having a great time together.

Genny was leading Thane around the park, showing him all the cool things. They went on a big drop ride, a rollercoaster, and even played games to win stuffed animals.

As they walked, Genny suddenly grabbed Thane’s hand.

“Ice cream! I want ice cream!” She pulled him towards an ice cream truck with colorful pictures on it. Thane laughed and followed her.

“You’re so dramatic but cute” He said.

“Stop talking and give me money,do you want one?” Genny asked.

“I’m not a fan of ice cream,I prefer smoking” Thane said and she frowned.

“Who said I’m going to allow you smoke?” She asked.

“Oh come on,you can’t just make me stop……”

“You’re stopping and that’s it” Genny snapped.

“How about a wrap per day? I need it sometimes to control my anger,please” Thane blinked cutely and pouted.

“What are you doing” Genny laughed and suddenly gasped.

“Did we forget or it’s just intentional? We didn’t celebrate your birthday with Odessa!”

“Oh that….Odessa and I will be having a party tomorrow,we couldn’t celebrate that day you know?”

“Because of me?” Genny asked.

“Of course not! Come on” Thane groaned.

He gave Genny some money and she ran over to the truck while he followed behind slowly.

As he approached,he saw some group of boys staring at Genny,not just anywhere but her @ss.

They were staring and whispering among each other,Thane stood sone distance away,listening to them as they talked in silence,a normal human wouldn’t hear them but Thane could hear them loud and clear.

“She’s so damn hot”

“Did you see the way her @ss was shaking?”

“I wonder who the hell is fucking her”

“She’s sexy…how about I try to get her number?”

Thane was boiling inwardly and finally reached his tip.

All of a sudden,the boys lost their voices. They all tried speaking up but instead they were rambling voicelessly.

“Mmmmmm!!!!” One of them sounded like that when he tried to talk,their eyes widened in shock and fear.

“Tsk!! Wwwww!!!pppp!!” Another one sounded like that

“Mmmmmphh…gggglll”

They were almost in tears as they couldn’t find their voices.

“Hey guys” Thane suddenly called from the back and waved his hand at them.

The boys turned at once,looking so dumb.

“You can’t talk??” Thane asked and they all nodded together.

“Your tongues are here” Thane said,opening his palm,and on it were four tongues.

He smiled at them.

The boys eyes widened in shock,their bodies shaking.

“Mmmmmmmm!!!!!!” They all tried screaming out.

CHAPTER 61

‘That’s right, I keep telling people that Jeslyn is one with a pure soul. We went to the same school and she used to be my senior. Jeslyn’s love for that jealous bitch was known by everyone in school. We were jealous of that bitch and wished we were in her place but in the end, her jealousy still prevailed and she ruined my idol!

Between, I can’t seem to use her name, I bet she had made her people censor her name, so my post keeps getting deleted.’

‘I agree with the comment up there, Jeslyn was my classmate, she never stopped singing that girl’s praises. Each time that I saw that girl, she always had this gloomy look that made one want to only care about her. She never got satisfied which made Jeslyn stay away from us all and only had that idiot as a friend. But the irony of it all was that the bitch had a few friends while Jeslyn didn’t have time to make any because she was babysitting that who*e!’

‘Bingo! I once met Jeslyn with a bouquet and a chocolate cake, wanting to date her in high school. Jeslyn loved chocolate then, so she couldn’t resist. As she was about to collect the cake from me, that hateful bitch walked over and started crying out of nowhere, which made Jeslyn abandon me, and had to console her. In the end, the spoiled brat was crying because someone called her a pest, though she was. Hmph!’

The comment section caught fire as lots and lots of people started to come out to give an account of how Jeslyn had always been a good person and how she would never have the heart to want to hurt Christine.

Seeing this, Manager Kate smiled and made another call. “Good job, now pull out all the pictures and videos you can find on Jeslyn and Christine’s past relationship and start to release them one after the other. That will prompt others to start giving more evidence. Who knows, there might be one or two that would be helpful to clear our artist’s name without her having to do it herself.”

After patting her head with his signature poker face, Valen said, a little louder than his usual voice. “From today henceforth, I am your backer. I will protect you from those people.”

Jeslyn looked shocked, just like the people watching. Then she laughed and pulled the boy into a tight hug.

At first, the boy seemed to be taken aback, which added fuel to the haters’ bitter hearts.

Most of them were no longer angry at Jeslyn for what she allegedly did to Christine but were rather mad from jealousy. She has been recognized by Valen and soon, it would be Maverick and Rex.

While haters and Jeslyn’s fans that were rapidly increasing in numbers were fighting, Jeslyn and Valen were shoving dog food down everyone’s throat on stage.

After a while of hugging, Manager Kate got back on stage and whispered to Jeslyn to start the performance before she left again.

“Little man, I would love to continue with you but I have to start my performance now.” She sighed.

“That’s fine. Give me your number. We can hang out after this.” Valen said.

Oh wow, her son is so smart. Not only has he approached her in public and declared to be her backer, but he has also created an avenue where he would ask to see his mother anytime he wants without fearing that they’ll be caught by paparazzi or whatnot.

The instrumental started joyously, just enough to pass off as a party dance.

Holding the microphone to her lips, she let her mesmerizing and intoxicating voice fill everyone’s ears.

A smile escaped Maverick’s lips as he watched his mesmerizing wife sing such a joyous song, composed for him and their son. What a bold move to indirectly tell the world she was married and has a son.

Valen was over the moon. He was a step away from flying onto the stage to join the dance with his mother. He was dissatisfied before but now, he’s extremely happy and willing to allow his mother to achieve her dreams.

Rex on the other hand was sulking. He pinched Celestine’s hand that was beside him and turned to look at her. However, seeing she wasn’t looking at him to prevent unnecessary gossip, he pulled out his phone and started to type furiously.

“You’ve never composed a song for me before. My sister–in–law has always been biased. She didn’t even add me to the song. So unfair. Am I not her brother–in–law?‘ he pouted.

Because Celestine didn’t check her message, Rex’s face became gloomy.

The people couldn’t get enough of Jeslyn’s song. Her voice might not be as good as VJ Cute, but her music was ten times better and the people loved the dance moves.

Even the haters had nothing to say this time. They just stayed silent as thousands of Jeslyn fans took the comment section with praises and admiration.

Christine finally came out of the bathroom, looking drained. She was called for a bath but ended up being a f*cking section.

She heard her phone ring and went to grab it. Although she had smashed it earlier, nothing happened to it.

On the screen was Assistant Miles’ ID, so she picked up the call. “What do you want?” She asked with a tinge of rage in her voice. It wasn’t clear if she was angry at Miles or Young Master Wu.

“Miss Christine, I think you should go online, things don’t look too good. The PR can’t seem to do anything and the water Army we got also can’t turn the tables because the other side hired water Armies too!”

“Haha, am I a PR? Do I have superpowers to kill all the commenters? Oh, You want me to go online because things don’t look good? So when I see the bad things, I should get angry and die of heart attack so you can sit on my property, is that what your intentions are?!”

“Miss, What are you talking about?”

“You know exactly what I’m talking about!! Don’t play dumb with me! Listen, Miles, I don’t care how or what you do. If by tomorrow I’m in a bad light, be ready to face my wrath. You should be more than aware of what I’m capable of.”

Christine disconnected the call and sat on her bed. She wanted to lie back in bed and cover her naked body with the duvet but the curiosity to know what is happening on Jeslyn’s end got the better of her and she entered the internet.

Seeing the crowd Jeslyn had performed for, Christine was flabbergasted. The music had ended, so she didn’t hear the song. Jeslyn was still standing on stage, sweating and trying to catch her breath while the crowd was clapping and screaming her name.

A while later, she saw the big shots sending her flowers on stage.

Christine’s grip on her phone tightened and her jaw clenched while her eyes turned red as tears of anger ran down her cheeks.

“How is this possible?” Her jealousy flared. “Why does she always find ways to outshine me? Why?! She had a wealthy family who loved her so much, a rich boyfriend, even after they were destroyed, she got herself a wealthy and powerful husband. Now this? What about me? Why do I always have to be below you, Jeslyn? Why?!” Angry tears ran down her face.

Christine was furious. She hated Jeslyn’s progress with every fiber in her. It could have been her. Everything that Jeslyn owned should have been hers. Why did Jeslyn deserve all the goodness while she was born to be Jeslyn’s backdrop? Why was Jeslyn born a happy child who didn’t have to fight for anything while she was made from a tender age to learn how to scheme to get what she deserved?

“Not anymore! If I can’t ruin Jeslyn, then she must die!”

With that conclusion in mind, Christine’s eyes lit up and she immediately dialed Assistant Miles’ number.

“To redeem yourself, get well-trained men to kill her. I’ll transfer the money to you right now. Miles, I don’t want failure. If you don’t succeed and they come looking for me, bear in mind that you’ll be my sacrificial lamb, unless you are smart enough to get one prepared for yourself… And don’t think about telling my sister because, honestly, I’ll kill you if she finds out.”

After making the call, she decided to go through the comments. At least, they planted people in the comment section to bring Jeslyn down. She thought.

Going through the comments, Christine couldn’t believe her eyes. Jeslyn’s debut had Tens of millions of views in just a few hours. She’s still on stage! She hasn’t even left yet, she has so many views!

Comments, views, shares, and likes were still coming and from what the algorithm captured at the moment, there were tens of millions of views, tens of thousands of shares, tens of millions of likes, and millions of comments!

It was as if the world was watching Jeslyn’s performance. Both haters, fans, and fence sitters–especially those seeking entertainment from comment sections, left the place messy with barrage of funny comments.

The free publicity was just too much for Christine that she started crying again. This time, she couldn’t figure out what exactly was causing her to cry this much.

She couldn’t help it. It was annoying and she needed to kill Jeslyn as soon as possible. The ‘genius detectives’ online were already speculating about her fight with Jeslyn. Some were on the right track and others were just guessing.

‘Someone tell this hot Wolfie I might just rape him!!!’ Genny screamed inwardly.

Thane looked at her weirdly and she gulped.

‘Don’t tell me he heard me…I might just die’ she thought again.

“What are you still waiting for?” He asked when she didn’t move.

“Oh….yeah” Genny mumbled and slowly walked to the bed and sat down on it,she looked up again to see Thane but he was gone.

Genny heaved out a loud sigh of relief before laying on the bed,her body already calmed down at this point,then she started thinking,what was that? What crazy feelings and adrenaline rush was that? It’s strange,she has never felt that before.

She hugged one of the pillows to herself and tried to close her eyes,another question suddenly popped into her head and she opened her eyes again.

“Why is he letting me sleep here?” She asked no one in particular.

“And he hugged me……”

“Can you just stop over thinking and sleep?!” Thane shouted at her immediately he entered the room,closing the door loudly behind him.

Genny gulped and bite her lips hard,she wouldn’t deny that she was scared,anytime he uses that voice,she gets scared. Obviously because he’s an alpha,it’s normal! She could see he was really angry,he has a blunt of weed in between his fingers,he was actually smoking.

“I’m…..” Genny tried to apologize.

“I brought you here because those demons are after you! Shouldn’t you use your brain to reason sometimes? Huh?! You saw it too,black blades or whatever damn name they are called,and fucking thanks to you I was able to make the barrier stronger,but we can’t say,those people are patrolling the institute and ready to attack nobody else but you so can you stop those dry thoughts of yours and sleep?!” He said in an authoritative voice.

“I’m sorry” Genny mumbled and took her lips in.

“Sleep or leave if you want” Thane said lastly and went out again.

Genny hugged the pillow back and closed her eyes,she can’t even mention what she was feeling right now.

Does that mean…he heard her thoughts? It seems like it,if this is true then.

‘I want to scream’ she said inwardly.

If he really heard those naughty thoughts of hers…….

*He said you should stop thinking!* the voice in her head suddenly yelled out at her in frustration and Genny blinked.

She tried replying but never got a response,it’s just like the last time too.

“Okay, Just sleep Genevieve” She sighed out and closed her eyes deeply,looking for the sleep.

Sage and Beorn were just approaching their room after Beorn made them stop to eat the meat he was suddenly craving for.

“I feel so full” He groaned,touching his tummy then ate out of the ice cream he was holding.

“Do you have a basin in your tummy? When did you get the ice cream again?” Sage asked,looking surprised.

“Every wolves I know have wild food cravings and you know that” Beorn replied and Sage scoffed.

“But yours is becoming too much,don’t die of food….meat in particular”

“Yes boss” Beorn bowed jokingly.

They continue walking and Beorn finished up the ice cream in no time making Sage shook his head but he said no word.

“Hey Beorn!” Two boys called and ran to them.

Sage wanted to leave him there but Beorn quickly grabbed his wrist,holding him tightly as he spoke with the boys.

Sage sighed out,trying to hold down at least but the boys keep on talking and talking and he was getting fed up,he wanted to move again but Beorn didn’t release him,he pushed his hand off and walked away. Beorn’s eyes followed him and sighed.

After waiting for about ten minutes talking,they finally left and Beorn also went straight inside his room.

“Hey,what was that again? If you had waited,they would have at least left me early enough!” Beorn said almost angrily as he entered.

“I already told you to learn how to say no when you’re not interested in things,why can’t you just tell them you can’t wait to talk to them? Just why?” Sage snapped.

“You think everyone is like you? They were so happy talking to me,you saw that in their eyes,everyone can’t be as cold as you are….”

“Then why not just let me be with my cold attitude and deal with yourself talking to everyone in the world? Why bringing me into that? I’m not like you, who cares about the heck people think,I fucking don’t like talking or keep people by my side,why can’t I just stay like that? You can’t change me” Sage said.

“Like hell,I hate your attitude” Beorn muttered.

“If you hate it then you can stop being friends with me,not like I care” Sage snapped and Beorn fold his fists.

Sage run his hand into his hair,regretting that he said that.

“I’m just…….”

“Keep it to yourself” Beorn said and stormed out of the room,closing the door behind him loudly.

Sage sat down on his bed and buried his face into his palms.

ORION’S ROOM*

Orion was just coming out of the bathroom when he heard a faint knock on his door,he furrowed his brows and walked to the door,he opened.

“Beorn?” He called,looking pleased to see him.

“Can I spend the night here?” Beorn asked.

“Of course” Orion smiled and Beorn entered.

Orion locked the door back and turned to him.

“Did something happened? You fought with Sage?” He asked.

“I won’t call it a fight,he just piss me off right now” Beorn rolled his eyes and Orion chuckled.

“I thought you two finally stopped your couples fight” He teased and Beorn glared.

“What” Orion laughed.

“What silly couples fight? It’s more like unreasonable fights,He’s always at fault” Beorn scoffed and pulled off his shoes.

“As always,you will never accept that you’re wrong” Orion said,he was already putting on some clothes.

“Why should I be at fault,I don’t know why he’s always so grumpy to everyone….”

“You should know Sage already,He’s always like that,remember how I always fight with him back then in the pack because I thought he was being rude to Thane” Orion said.

“Well he got even worse” Beorn rolled his eyes.

Orion walked closer and sat down on the couch.

“How worse?” He asked.

“Why are you so interested? It’s annoying” Beorn said.

“I’m trying to know what I can do to help” Orion muttered.

“Help? Why?”

“Because you can’t live without Sage” Orion muttered and Beorn frowned.

“That’s insulting,says who?!” He shouted and Orion laughed.

They heard the door and they both turned,Orion stood up and went to open the door. Odessa entered.

“Oh….Beorn” She grinned and immediately went closer.

“What are you doing here? Dear princess” Beorn asked and then looked at Orion.

“Why are you looking at me?” Orion frowned and Beorn coughed.

“What are you thinking” Odessa hit his arm.

“That hurts!” Beorn shouted.

“Why are you here? Is there something wrong?” Orion asked.

“Indigo and I…had a misunderstanding and I swear I don’t know what can happen anytime if I don’t leave,that’s why I’m here,I went to Thane but Genny was sleeping innocently on his bed” Odessa grinned.

“What?!” Orion and Beorn shouted.

“They are sleeping together?” Orion asked.

“No,he’s in the living room” Odessa said.

“Since when did he start allowing people sleep in his room? I thought he’s irritated when touched or close with” Beorn said.

“That’s what we thought” Orion sighed out and Beorn laughed.

“What about you? Why are you here?” Odessa asked.

“He fought with Sage” Orion replied and Odessa shook her head.

“A never ending saga” She mumbled.

“I just don’t understand why two people who are opposite in every way would decide to be friends,the only similarity between them is that they are both wolves” Orion sighed.

“Actually two” Odessa said.

“What again?” Orion asked.

“They can’t live without each other” She muttered.

“There you go again,says who exactly?! I can do without talking to him….”

“I can’t count how many times you’ve said this Beorn,but in the end you’re the first to run after him,I give you tonight,by tomorrow,you’re whipped again” Orion muttered and Odessa laughed.

“You two are being annoying right now” Beorn muttered and kept quiet.

Orion and Odessa coughed and he scoffed.

“How are we going to sleep?” Odessa asked.

“I will just sleep on the floor don’t worry,you can share the bed with Beorny” Orion said.

“Don’t start Oriony” Beorn snapped and Odessa laughed.

“Stop calling yourselves those annoying names please” She said.

“And….I will sleep on the floor with Oriony,you can have the bed all to yourself dear princess” Beorn smiled and got down.

“I feel like a bad person” Odessa muttered,watching Orion spread the big thick blanket on the floor and they both lie down with pillows beneath their head and duvet on their bodies.

Odessa took her own pillow too and jumped in between them.

“What!” Beorn shouted and she slapped his mouth playfully,which made Orion laugh.

“Are you seriously sleeping here?” Beorn asked.

“It’s going to be boring sleeping alone on the bed” Odessa groaned,covering herself with the duvet also,she was in the middle.

The three of them lay down,facing the ceiling.

Beorn was the first to sleep off,Odessa turned her face to Orion and found him also staring at her.

“Hey” She smiled.

“You should sleep,don’t talk” Orion muttered lowly,not to wake Beorn up.

Odessa shifted closer and he raised his brows.

“What……”

She pecked his lips and Orion’s eyes widened.

“Odessa……..”

“Goodnight” She cut him off and turned her back on him immediately.

Orion sighed and also closed his eyes.

Beorn heard someone called him,he was on his way to his room,he paused and turned back to see Astrid and Ophelia,Astrid walked over to him.

“Morning” Beorn said and she bit her lips.

“About what happened…..”

“Let’s not talk about it anymore,I’m totally fine” Beorn said and Astrid looked at him with guilt in her eyes.

“Believe me,I’ve really forgiven you” Beorn said,sounding more convincing.

“If you’re like this,how do you expect me not to fall for you?” Astrid asked,in tears.

“It was so annoying that you didn’t even know,were you just pretending not to know or what?!” She cried.

Beorn looked around to see if anyone was staring,he faced Astrid again and wiped her tears.

“Don’t do that,people are watching” He muttered and she sniffs.

“I still like you,and I don’t know when I’m going to get over you,,I know I was wrong,but I just allowed my emotions to win over me,I never meant to hurt you,I wouldn’t hurt you” she shook her head.

“I’m sorry” She sniffs and ran off before Beorn could say anything else.

He sighed and roughed his hair,he turned to walk away but stopped again when he saw Sage in front of him,he also stopped walking and they began staring at each other,Sage was already dressed up,maybe going for breakfast or class.

Beorn was planning to walk away first but Sage beat him to it,he left without saying a word to him. Beorn turned with a glare,watching Sage walk away.

“Did he just….ignored me?” He scoffed and also left,looking freshly annoyed by what just happened.

“Hey Sage” Lila and Luna called as he entered.

“Join us” they said.

Sage didn’t decline,he walked over to the booth and sat down,the servers came with his food almost immediately.

“What about Beorn?” The twins asked.

“He will be here soon” Sage muttered and started eating.

“Can I join?” Kalysta asked,standing with her food tray in her hand,her eyes on Sage who didn’t bother looking up.

“of course” Lila and Luna said.

Kalysta smiled and sat down next to Sage.

“Hi” She smiled.

Sage sighed and replied with a nod.

Kalysta bit her bottom lip and started eating,she was trying hard to start a conversation with him but he never seem interested in anything she says.

“Wow,you’re still in this school?” Atticus teased Maren as he joined her,she was eating alone.

“Like you care” Maren rolled her eyes.

“Of course I do,nobody is coming to me to booast about their new spells anymore” Atticus chuckled and she scoffed.

“What,is something wrong?” Atticus asked and adjusted his glasses.

“Just eat,you’re annoying me” Maren mumbled.

“Wow,are you mad at me? Really? Did I do anything wrong?” Atticus asked seriously this time around.

Maren was about replying when she saw Astrid entered with Ophelia and she scoffed.

“Your favorite is here” She said.

Atticus raised his brows in confusion,he turned and his eyes met with Ophelia.

“Hi Atti” She waved at him and he returned it.

Ophelia and Astrid sat down somewhere else and Atticus faced Maren back.

“Wait….don’t tell me…you’re jealous?” He asked.

“No I’m not!!!” Maren screamed and all eyes fell on them.

Maren stood up and took her book before running out,her hair flowing behind her.

“What the heck” Atticus chuckled unbelievably and bit his lips.

“Such a drama queen” Ondine said,still laughing about Maren who just ran out.

“Sure she is” Juna said.

Genny chuckled and said nothing,she took the cup of water to drink but suddenly someone smashed the cup out of her hand and the glass broke into pieces on the floor.

Genny gasped and looked up to see an angry Indigo,all eyes now on them.

Ondine and Juna looked at Indigo with confusion.

“What was that?” Genny asked.

“Stop pretending you bitch! I saw you this morning,sneaking out of Thane’s quarters!” Indigo yelled angrily.

The students gasped.

“Wait,don’t tell me you’re into hookup” Indigo said.

“Not everyone is like you Indigo,not everyone” Genny said.

“Then…can you tell us why you slept in his room?” Indigo asked,a smirk visible on her face.

Genny sighed,she could hear everyone whispering among themselves,waiting for to answer.

The worst part is that she didn’t actually tell Ondine and Juna that she had slept in Thane’s room.

“Is that really….true?” Juna asked in a whisper and Genny nodded,they gasped.

Wow,I’ve never seen anyone sleeping over in the Prince’s room

Who the hell is she?

“Seriously? Is Thane fucking your crush? That’s bad” Zarek chuckled and Kymani glared at him.

“Sorry” Zarek muttered.

“We are still waiting for your answer” Indigo said loudly.

Kymani was about standing up to defend her when Odessa stood up from where she was sitting and kicked the table loudly,everyone turned,including Indigo.

“Who the fuck do you think you are to ask her that question?” Odessa asked and everyone gasped.

What’s going on?

Are they having a misunderstanding?

Odessa is not supporting Indigo?

Indigo laughed.

“Seriously? Now you’re supporting her…..”

“Hell no I’m talking because you’re trying to talk down on my brother like they are hooking up or something,what’s wrong with your brain? And even if they are,Genny doesn’t owe you any explanation,at least you will kill to be in that position to get to hook up with my brother,isn’t that what you’ve been after for years now?” Odessa asked and the students covered their mouths with their palms.

“So leave Genny alone,if you have a problem with my brother,go meet him and stop bullying her,unless you want to face me” Odessa added.

Indigo fold her fists as the two of them glared at each other,Indigo stormed out of the hall,pushing Odessa out of the way with her shoulder.

Genny looked at Odessa to say a thank you but Odessa walked away also.

Everyone in the hall staring at Genny,and she hated it. She hated being the center of attention,and their looks aren’t pleasant at all,they are probably hating her right now,,,she just made two best friends fight in front of the whole students.

Their eyes on her only reminds her of her old school….is this what Indigo wanted,her smirk earlier wasn’t normal,she was after something.

HOURS LATER*

Genny walked into the restroom and turned on the tap,she washed her face and stared at herself in the mirror.

Since the morning incident,she have been quiet,maybe because she’s been having classes without any break and none of her friends are in her class,it’s a very busy day for her,and also so lonely.

She repacked her ponytail and suddenly remember Thane telling her he loves her hair down,a smile appeared on her face and she removed the tie,she arranged her hair and walked out of the restroom.

As soon as she stepped out,she saw some groups of girls pointing at her and she swallowed,looking confused.

is she not the one hooking up with the prince?

She must really think she’s a goddess or something

She actually look like a bitch for real..

I’m sure she seduced the prince with her body.

Genny gulped and grabbed her chest,it’s the same feeling…from her old school,and then this.

It was like a deja vu in her body,the memories of how she always get bullied where she came from filled her mind,those mean words started playing in her head,it’s traumatic,she was definitely traumatized by those words.

Genny covered her ears,tears rolling down her eyes and her vision was beginning to get blurry.

“Hey!! Look at us!!!” Three girls shouted and Genny managed to open her eyes.

The girls smirked and opened their palms, white stones appeared on them and they threw it directly at Genny,targeting her head.

Genny closed her eyes,expecting the pain,it’s not like anyone would save her,nobody ever did,back then,and even now,nobody…..

She was still thinking when she felt a shadow in front of her and gasps followed.

Thane appeared in front of Genny,covering her up and two stones hit his back,the third one hit his head.

Loud gasps covered the air.

Genny opened her eyes and looked up in a slow mo,her eyes locked with Thane’s own,he was also staring at her. Then she saw blood running down his head,beneath his hair.

He’s bleeding

The Prince’s head.

Oh no.

Thane ignored the blood in his head and carried Genny in a bridal style,a gasp escaped her lips and she immediately held him tightly,then he turned,the girls immediately moved back,they all fell on their knees.

Indigo who was watching from upstairs was boiling in anger already.

Your highness,please forgive us

We are so sorry…

“Orion!!” Thane called and Orion appeared within a blink of an eye.

“Into the cell….all of them” Thane said and Genny’s eyes widened,she raised her head.

“Yes your highness” Orion bowed and Thane stared walking away.

Genny could hear the girls crying and she saw some guards walking to them,probably to take them to the cell like Thane commanded.

She looked up at Thane,his head was still bleeding.

“You can just get down if you want to…..”

Before Thane could finish,she shut her eyes and her head hit his chest and she held him tightly.

All eyes on them.

CHAPTER 51

“You didn’t prove anything, you cheated. You are unromantic, hmph!” She threw her face to the side.
“Hehe… you should learn to cheat too, you know,” he winked.

Jeslyn opened and closed her mouth, then she thought about it and furiously shook her head. “No way! Whatever I do, you’ll benefit more. Tch!”

He wants her to retaliate. Since he fingered her, retaliation would mean a blowjob. Who will benefit from that? Of course, her *cheating* husband.

Maverick’s lips slowly curled into a wicked smile as an intimidating and frightening aura poured out of him.

Jeslyn felt a chill and looked up at her husband’s face. She was lying on his chest now.

Good thing Maverick knew what he just did, so he immediately restrained his dark aura and smiled at her. “You should sleep now.” He said in a hoarse voice as he brushed her hair back.

Jeslyn returned the smile but her mind couldn’t be calm. Her husband was mad but at who? And why?

THE LAST MINUTE GROOM SEASON 2: CHAPTERS 51 – 60

Valen waited until evening before his mother finally came downstairs. He looked drained but excited.

‘Yeah, I’ve never given you so much reason to be this happy,’ he rolled his eyes and picked up his phone to distract his mind. He was angry and he wasn’t trying to hide it from his mother.

“Why are you angry? Your inconsiderate father is coming.” Damien said while resting the side of his face on his fist. He was lying lazily on the long couch. Valen stopped talking to him a long time ago and he was bored.

“Tell him that,” Valen replied with his eyes on the phone.

“You think I’m scared of him?” He raised a brow at the child.

“Are you not?” Valen gave him a fleeting glance.

“I–”

“Son,” Jeslyn came over and pulled Valen up from his seat, then hugged him. “Momma is wrong, I’m sorry.” She immediately apologized.

Valen sighed deeply. This is so unfair. His mother offended him and now he would be forced to accept her apology and forgive her. He didn’t want to, so he wiggled his way out of her embrace and glared at his father who was just taking his seat.

“Children need their mothers to grow healthy.” He was talking to his father and accusing him of taking all of his mother’s time.

“Husbands need their wives to live long,” Maverick replied without looking at his son but it was obvious who he was talking to.

“Husband is old and has almost outlived his time on earth.” Valen countered.

“Son is too young and hasn’t seen the world and how it works.”

“Son will learn with the help of Mom.”

Maverick glanced at his son’s hardened cute face, then shifted his eyes to the helplessly looking Jeslyn and replied, “Even wife doesn’t know much about life.”

Valen looked at his mother. Yeah, his dad was right. His mother doesn’t know much about the dark world so he sighed and sat back down but he wasn’t going to let his dad triumph.

“Uncle Rex is a good teach–”

“I heard my name!”

Everyone turned to look at the door and saw Rex walking through the door with a beam.

Valen immediately changed his words. “… Uncle Rex will make a good school teacher, so send him to work in a school.”

“Hahaha…”

“Hahahaha…”

Jeslyn and Damien laughed out loud. Even Maverick and the guards standing around couldn’t stop themselves from chuckling.

Jeslyn froze when she heard a strange voice laughing. She didn’t notice the person lying lazily on the couch because she was focused on getting her son to forgive her.

Rex on the other hand was about to fight back when he heard that laugh. He frowned because he was very familiar with that demonic cute laugh. He walked with large strides to the front of the couch and almost fell back in fright.

“Y– you?!!”

All eyes shifted to Damien and Rex. Everyone in the room, except Jeslyn, was familiar with Damien.

“Hi, bud–”

“Don’t you dare call me that!” Rex felt a chill at his friendliness. He’d rather hug a transformer than believe Damien was friendly but that’s by the way. “What are you doing in my brother’s house?”

“Ah,” Damien looked around the room and pointed lazily at Maverick who was minding his business. “He brought me– kidnapped me here.”

Rex glared fiercely at his brother. Maverick was on his laptop before but when he felt a stare, he raised his gaze and saw Rex glaring at him. “He lied.”

“Of course, I don’t believe him but why would you allow him to come here?” He was still glaring at his brother.

“That’s not cool, dude. I’m not a transmittable disease, so why can’t I be here?” Damien interjected shamelessly.

“Noooo!!!!” Genny’s scream hit directly into Thane’s eardrum and he paused.

Indigo turned and looked at him.

“What’s wrong?” She asked but Thane said nothing.

*That’s Genny’s voice,sounds like she’s in danger* Thorne said to Thane and he scoffed.

*Not like I care* He replied.

*Me too,why should I save someone who called me a monster?* Thorne scoffed and went quiet.

Thane continue walking again and Indigo raised her brows but she didn’t utter a word,she just followed him.

Back in Kymani’s room,Genny was in tears and Kymani’s fangs almost in her neck,he was totally out of control,his eyes bloody red.

All of a sudden the door opened and Odessa entered,he pushed Kymani away from Genny. Kymani faced her with a glare and,he used his eyes to control one of the furnitures in the room and threw it at Odessa.

Genny screamed in fear as the table almost slammed on Odessa but she punched the table right in the center and it broke into pieces.

“You bastard!” Odessa yelled and jumped up high,throwing a heavy kick right on Kymani’s neck, he fell roughly on the floor,passing out right away.

Genny gulped in shock,Odessa grabbed her hand and dragged her out of the room,she released her hand outside but Genny kept following her,she was still shaking in fear.

“I guess you know who the real monster is now” Odessa said without looking at her.

Genny bit her lip and wiped her tears,Odessa got her water.

“Thanks” She muttered and drank everything at once.

“I’m sorry for saying that,I hope you forgive me” Genny said.

“I’m good now,if I was mad I wouldn’t save you from him,you should have learnt your lesson” Odessa said.

“I’m sorry” Genny mumbled.

“Like I said,I’m good now. You’re someone I like from the moment I saw you,,I don’t want to dislike you for no reason,but don’t mess with my brother,He’s the only one I’ve got,I don’t joke with him. And also,you should be careful before taking some decisions,or you won’t last here,not everyone smiling at you loves you” Odessa said.

“I understand” Genny said.

“Good”

“Thane….Is still mad at me..what should I do?” Genny asked.

“I don’t know,do it your own way” Odessa replied and Genny twitches her lips.

“See you around” Odessa said before walking away.

Genny groaned and roughed her hair.

“What do I do?” She asked herself and started walking.

NIGHT, SAGE AND BEORN’S ROOM*

Sage came into the room and met Beorn still sleeping,he was hoping he would wake up and they go to eat dinner together.

He walked over to his bed and bent,he gently touched his leg and exhaled out in relief to see that the swollenness already gone.

Beorn opened his eyes and let out a smile.

“Don’t tell me you’re worried about me” He said and sat up,Sage also joined him on the bed.

“I feel guilty,it was my suggestion to…….”

“Why are you talking like you forced me? And besides I’m all good now” Beorn said looked at the window.

“It’s quite late….”

“It’s time for dinner,can you walk to….”

“Stop it,I can walk of course” Beorn snapped and Sage chuckled.

“Why are you getting worked up over it? I’m just worried,like you want me to” he said in a teasing voice.

“Don’t hype yourself up just because you choose to be kind this time around” Beorn scoffed and left the bed to get dressed.

“Where were you before? I woke up once and you weren’t in the room” Beorn said.

“I just…went to get fresh air,it was boring” Sage replied and Beorn faced him with a smile.

“Let’s go”

Sage moved closer to him and touched his forehead to feel his temperature.

“I said I’m fine” Beorn muttered.

“Thank goodness” Sage sighed.

Beorn smiled at him when he didn’t drop his hand.

“Are you just going to keep staring at my face? I know I’m handsome” Beorn said.

Sage pushed his chest and he laughed.

They both walked out of the room after that.

CHRONICLES OF RAVENWOOD : CHAPTERS 21 – 30

NEXT MORNING, THANE’S QUARTERS*

Thane just finished dressing up when he heard a knock on the door which made him turn.

“Come in”

The door opened and a guard came in,Thane was expecting Orion but he suddenly remembered that he gave him a free day because Odessa kept asking if they can hang out together.

“Your highness” The guard bowed and moved closer to hand over a piece of paper to him.

“What’s this?”

“A girl dropped it and said I should deliver it to you” The guard replied.

Thane took it from him and the guard left after being released by Thane.

Thane slowly opened the wrapped paper,it’s a letter::

Dear Thane,

I was wrong to lash out at you, and I’m truly sorry for my mistakes. You’ve always been there for me, and I repaid that kindness with hurtful words. I promise to do better in the future and to appreciate you more, Please forgive me and let’s move forward together.

P.S. I’ll try to be less of a handful, but no promises – you know I can’t resist pushing your buttons sometimes.

Thane chuckled at the P.S .

After spending another minute in the room,he went out. As he walked out of his quarters,his eyes fell on Genny somewhere,like she was staring but she immediately turned and walked away when he caught him.

“Don’t turn into a stalker” He chuckled and went his own way.

“Gosh,,,he saw me” Genny slapped her head and took her lips in.

She turned again and found him gone.

“Maybe he didn’t” She sighed.

“Genny” She heard Kymani’s voice and her heart skipped a beat,she turned and saw him standing with pleasing eyes and guilt.

“I know I made you scared,but trust me it wasn’t my intention..I just kind of…starve myself all day and ended up losing control,I’m sorry,I would never hurt you,trust me” Kymani apologized.

“Its…..it’s….okay,I’m fine,…I understand” Genny said gently.

“Are we still friends?” Kymani asked.

Genny said nothing.

“I’m sorry,I have a class” She mumbled and walked away

Kymani sighed and roughed his hair.

EVENING, WOLVES PACK~THE PALACE*

The door to Alpha Raven’s chamber opened and Ravenna entered,she’s the most powerful seer and witch in the pack. She was wearing a red robe,flowing on the floor along with her butt length hair,her lips also painted with deep red color,she’s a beautiful lady.

She walked somehow closer and stood in front of the alpha.

“Good evening,Alpha” She bowed low.

Alpha Raven simply replied with a nod and gave her a sign to sit down.

“Thank you Alpha” Ravenna said and sat down.

“You know the reason why I called for you” Alpha Raven said.

“Yes alpha and I won’t waste your time” Ravenna replied which made the alpha nod.

“Alpha….I’m afraid the prince might never get to meet his soulmate” Ravenna said.

Alpha Raven sighed and sat down properly.

“You know why your majesty,,it’s possible you might be the last one to get on the throne in your lineage” Ravenna said.

“I have a son,why would I be the last one?” Alpha asked.

“You know about the curse your majesty,I’m afraid that’s the cause of the prince’s misfortune” Ravenna replied and the door opened.

The Luna,Liyana walked in with her dress screaming luxury and authority.

“What do you mean by misfortune?” She sounded angry.

“Liya,,,you’re not to interrupt……”

“She just called my son misfortunate just because of a mate!!” She yelled at the alpha and he sighed.

Ravnenna smiled and stood up.

“Your highness” She bowed for the Luna.

“What was that statement of yours about?” She snapped.

“Your highness,I’m sure the alpha have a better answer to that….”

“Ravenna,leave” Alpha Raven said.

“What is she talking about?” Liyana faced the alpha.

“The prince might not be able to get a soulmate” Ravenna replied.

“Your majesty!!! The prince is here!!!” They heard that announcer and almost immediately the door opened,Thane entered.

“Oh…his highness is here” Ravenna smiled.

“Is that true?” He asked his father.

Silence followed.

“Why are you so quiet? I heard everything you’ve been saying,it’s obvious everyone knows about it and I’m the only one in the dark,is it really true I am cursed and I would never have a mate? Is it true?!!!” He yelled angrily.

“Son….” His mother touched him.

“Don’t touch me” Thane snapped her hand off,his eyes on the alpha.

“That’s right” Alpha Raven finally said.

“Raven!” Liyana shouted.

“I should tell him since he’s curious to know” The alpha said and Thane shook his head.

“And you choose to hide it from me?? Silly me waiting senselessly……”

“But it’s not permanent,,I heard the moon goddess might choose to change her mind later on and…..”

“Change her mind for what exactly? What’s the curse about? I’m very sure this is not even about me,I can’t remember doing anything to deserve that silly curse you’re talking,what did you do father” Thane asked.

“I will rather take my leave” Ravenna bowed and walked out,she could hear the voice of the Luna and the alpha.

She smiled knowingly and vanished,she reappared in Thane’s suite,inside his bedroom.

Thane turned and faced her immediately he felt her presence.

“What are you doing here?” He asked.

Ravenna walked closer.

“Are you sure you don’t want a mate anymore?” She asked.

“None of your business,get lost” Thane said.

“The reason behind the curse,don’t you want to know?” Ravenna asked.

“And what is that supposed to mean?” Thane glared.

“You’re the future alpha of this pack,it’s possible to rule without a Luna,but it might be difficult to get that position also,,the curse is as big as that” Ravenna said.

“And what is it about?! What fucking curse!”

“Ask the alpha,he knows better” Ravenna said.

“Tell me if you know!” Thane shouted.

“Did he tell you??” Ravenna asked.

“What?”

“You’re not destined to any girl at all because of his …….”

The door opened loudly and the alpha entered looking angrily,he sped over to Ravenna and grabbed her neck.

“What do you think you’re doing?!!” He growled.

“Your son requested for an answer” Ravenna replied and coughed.

“Get lost” The alpha ordered and she left.

“Father….what was that? Why are you so angry because I want to know the truth… ”

“There’s no truth anywhere!!! Forget about it!” The alpha yelled.

“How can I forget about it if it’s affecting me this badly!! What did I do wrong to deserve that!!!” Thane shouted back.

“Are you blaming me…..”

“You’re acting like you’re hiding something father,like I said I won’t forgive anyone involved if I find out the reason why” Thane threatened and stormed out of the room,bumping into his mother.

“Son..it’s late,you can’t return to the….”

“Don’t act like you care when all you do is lie to me my whole life” Thane muttered and left without turning back.

All the guards shifted back in a hurry as he showed up,they could sense the anger all over him. Their heads remained bow until he went far.

He approached the woods,the longest path that leads to school,he needed enough time to vent his anger out before he get back to school.

Thane’s body began to contort and shift, his muscles bulging as he transformed into his wolf form. His fur stood on end, a thick coat of gray and black that seemed to bristle with his anger. He let out a mighty roar, the sound echoing through the woods like a thunderclap.

As he ran, his paws pounded the earth, sending shockwaves through the forest floor. Birds took flight, squawking in terror as they fled from the enraged wolf. Small animals scurried for cover, their tiny hearts racing with fear.

Thorne’s growls were a constant, menacing rumble, a warning to any creature in his path to get out of his way. His eyes blazed with a fierce intensity, his teeth bared in a snarl. He was a force of nature, unstoppable and wild.

As he ran, the woods grew quieter, the only sound the pounding of his paws and the occasional snapping of a branch.

Odessa got down from the car with Orion,they just returned back from their outing.

“I can feel my brother’s anger” Odessa said worriedly.

“Anger?” Orion asked with wide eyes and Odessa nodded.

They both appeared in front of Thane’s quarter.

“The prince is not in school” One of the guards told them.

“Not in school?” Orion asked and they nodded.

Odessa tried connecting their link.

“He won’t talk to me” She looked at Orion who already have a worried look on his face.

“But he’s fine,I can feel his…..” She touched her chest.

“His heartbeats…..fast…..I think he’s running” She muttered and Orion sighed out.

THANE’S QUARTERS*

“Why are you looking so nervous?” Odessa asked Genny who kept looking at the door.

“I’m scared….what if he gets mad that I’m here?” Genny asked.

“I just want to train you here because I’m waiting for you,he will understand” Odessa replied and Genny sighed.

Orion came to join them.

“So in conclusion,after analyzing all your abilities….it’s obvious that you have both abilities of a wolf and also a seer” Odessa said and Genny’s eyes widened.

“I’m a….wolf?”

Odessa nodded.

“Then,why am I not feeling anything yet?” Genny asked.

“Soon…it won’t happen suddenly,,,until the full moon rises” Odessa replied.

“What will happen during full moon?” Genny asked curiously.

“Your first shift” Odessa replied and Genny gulped.

“First…first shift?”

“Yeah,but you need to prepare yourself…first shift is horrible,painful and agonizing” Odessa said.

“You don’t have to scare her that way” Orion said and Genny’s heart beat increases.

“I’m just telling her what to expect,,in that aspect,after your first shift,you gain all your powers as a wolf and can at least do some of the things I do,but not all…because I’m not just a wolf” Odessa said and Genny looked at her.

“Huh? Not just?? Then…what else?” She asked.

“As you can see,my brother and possess alot of powers,Orion too. But for my brother,He’s a mixture of many….some he doesn’t even know yet,He’s yet to unleach most of his other forms” Odessa explained.

“Oh”

“But for you,…you’re a seer too,that doesn’t need training,you see what you’re supposed to see. As for the wolf part,I will give you enough books to read about us..the full moon,the first shift,and every other abilities that comes with it..like your super strength,super hearing,speed,mate and others” Odessa said.

“Mate?”

“Yeah,every wolf have a mate,why are you asking me when you know?” Odessa chuckled.

“If your mate is in this place,you will know once you become one”

“So what about you two?” Genny asked.

“Don’t worry about me,I don’t think I need one anyway” Odessa said.

“What do you mean? It’s obvious he’s not in the same pack,why not wait for the Full moon Festival? I’m hoping to meet mine by then too” Orion said and Odessa gulped,she bit her bottom lip and Genny saw that.

“I…see” Odessa mumbled.

“Wait,,it’s raining and Thane is not back” Odessa said.

“It’s been raining a lot these days…..” Just as Orion was saying that,the door opened and an angry looking Thane entered,looking wet from the rain.

“Thane!” Odessa called and rushed to him.

“Leave…let’s talk tomorrow” He said.

“But you don’t look well….”

“Leave Odessa,I’m not in the Mood….you too Orion,everyone,go” He said icely and walked toward his room.

Odessa and Orion exchanged glances.

“Let’s go….”

They walked to the door and turned back when Genny didn’t follow.

“What’s wrong?” Odessa asked.

“I will leave later,you can go” Genny said.

“You can see he’s angry,he won’t like it if you disturb him” Orion said and Genny shook her head.

“Don’t worry about me” She muttered.

“Let’s go Orion” Odessa said and they both walked out.

Genny moved closer to the bedroom door,she could hear him throwing things loudly,sounds of glasses breaking.

She got the courage to open the door,it was just as she imagined,the room was upside down,everything on the floor,broken glasses and bottles on the floor,his eyes sparkling with anger. Thane paused and looked at her.

“What are you doing here? What” He asked.

“I’m just…..worried….you’re angry” Genny mumbled.

“So what?” Thane’s voice came out deeper.

“I want to…..make you calm and……”

“Who do you think you are to calm me down?!!” Thane growled and she flinched.

“Who are you? My mate?!!! You think you’re that important for me to calm down when I see you?!!! Are you my mate?!!! Are you?!!!!” Thane shouted.

Genny gulped.

“Not like I even have one” Thane mumbled and let out a cranky laughter.

Genny started walking closer to him.

“Don’t come….stop where you are!!!” Thane shouted.

Genny ignored his yells and ran over to where he was,,some broken glasses entered her foot through her shoe.

“Ouch!” She yelped.

“Get out” Thane said.

She ignored her leg and moved closer.

“What do you think you’re doing?! I said get lost!!” Thane grabbed her neck and slammed her back against the wall. His claws came out all at once and his eyes color change,he was breathing out angrily.

Genny coughed out,slapping his hand to let her go.

“I warned you,I warned you!! Do you take me for granted?!! How dare you!!” Thane shouted.

Genny raised his hand,finding her way to his hair.

“Don’t touch me…don’t……” He stopped the moment Genny started patting his hair,her eyes red from his strangling.

She continue patting his hair,stroking them,like a puppy would love it.

Thane slowly released her neck and she coughed out.

“What was that?” Thane asked.

“Calming you down” Genny replied,she went on her toes again and continue patting him.

“I’m not a dog……”

“You’re a cute wolf” Genny said.

“Calling me cute is annoying,do you want to see the scary part of me? I’m not cute” Thane said and she smiled.

“You’re cute,I don’t care whatever you say” She said and continue patting his hair,and slowly his claws went back in,his eyes became normal.

Meanwhile, Jeslyn had successfully finished her audition and made it to the next round. She excitedly left the building with Lolita who had a shocked look on her face.
Inside Lolita’s car at the parking lot, the girl refused to start the car.

“Lolita, we’ve spent over thirty minutes here already. Do you want to sleep here?”

“Tell me how you suddenly became Jeslyn and what the f*ck is going on? You should have heard what those buffalos were saying about you back there. Even the internet is cursing you. What the f*ck happened? What did you do?!”

Jeslyn sighed. There’s no other option, right? “Fine, I’ll tell you everything. But first, let’s leave this place. It’s not a nice place to talk.”

“Fine. Let’s go to a restaurant and talk over lunch. I’m famished anyway.” With that said, Lolita started the car and zoomed off.

After they left, Jeslyn’s guards started to trail them.

THE LAST MINUTE GROOM SEASON 2: CHAPTERS 41 – 50

*At Valen’s school…*

It was lunchtime and the children could be seen in the cafeteria, eating.

Valen quietly brushed his gaze through all the children, eating. The range of students here were from basic three to basic six. Being in basic six himself, he felt he was a senior and didn’t have to start eating when others started. Rather, it was only ideal that he be the last to leave the cafeteria.

THE LAST MINUTE GROOM SEASON 2: CHAPTERS 41 – 50

Meanwhile, some children who were bigger than Valen had been watching him from another table and the minute Valen opened his six-layered-flask, the five big kids left their table and went to bother Valen.

Sitting around Valen’s table, one of them took the lid and placed it on one of the layers, covering the veggies in it.

With chopsticks raised above the braised sliced beef he was about to place on top of his rice, Valen didn’t bother to raise his gaze to see who disrupted his meal. He knew they were the bullies that had been asking for a beating ever since he started this school. “Are you hungry?” He asked.

“Hahaha… he asked if we are hungry.” One of the fat boys taunted.

“So he talks? I thought he was mute! Hahahaha…” Lu Zach mocked as he shove Valen’s plate of soup, making a portion of the soup to pour on Valen’s phone that was placed on the table.

“What family are you from?” The skinny one asked Valen.

The child ignored them and tried to eat but they wouldn’t let him. He asked if they were hungry, not of food, but rather for a beating, however, these dead brain children thought he was inviting them to a meal hand–cooked by his mother. What an unattainable dream.

“What are you guys doing?” A cute feminine voice drifted over from another table.

The boys turned to look behind them. It was the cutest girl in the school, Mia.

Mia’s background is not known but she is certainly from one of the top families in the Country.

The children were told by their parents to befriend people that were richer and powerful than them, so they can make connections to strengthen their families, which was why, a lot of people started to follow Mia and the children from the Lu, Xu, and Yu families around.

Mia doesn’t care about anymore as she is a proud child but ever since this dashing boy who happened to be the most intelligent, most handsome, and classiest boy arrived from nowhere and joined them in their final year, Mia suddenly started to follow him around, seeking his attention in all ways but the robotic boy wouldn’t blink an eyelid at her. Sometimes he would make a disgusted face, like Mia was annoying, still she wouldn’t leave him alone.

So for that, the other students started to find trouble with Valen.

“Lu Zach, why are you seeking trouble with Valen? Because you can bully him doesn’t mean you should. Your family might be the richest in the Country, but it doesn’t mean there’s no one richer than them. You should desist from bullying and leave Valen alone!”

“Ohhhhh, so you even know his name in less than a week. I have been around you for years and you just recently know I’m Zach. Mia, why should I stop bullying him? Tell me.”

Mia rolled her eyes and repeated: “Because you can doesn’t mean you should. Leave him alone, he has not done anything to you,” She said.

“Because I can bully him should be the reason I shall.” With that said, Zach took a fruit juice from another table, opened it and poured it into Valen’s food. “Eat that!” He shoved Valen’s head into the rice with juice in it.

“Hahahaha…” the children all started laughing.

Valen slowly raised his face from the wide flask. There were some rice on his hair, so he slowly brushed off the ones he could. He glanced at the mooncakes in one of the plates and saw there were traces of juice in them.

Valen’s eyes changed and his aura flared. His mother woke up as early as 2 AM to make him these mooncakes because he told her he wanted to eat them, so dare this boy! He grabbed a fork from the table and tightened his little hands around it.

“I told you to eat them… hahaha…”

“Chunk!” Valen didn’t let Zach get satisfaction from his laughter before he unceremoniously stabbed the fork into his hand that was placed on the table.

“Ahh!” Zach screamed when severe pain from the horrendous injury on his hand assaulted his senses. ” It hurts! It hurts! Help, help!? Mummy!”

Only Zach’s screams could be heard in the cafeteria. The other students, including Mia were so terrified at what Valen did that they turned dumb.

Outside the door, Zach’s body guards were about rushing in but we’re blocked by Valen’s guards at the door.

“What are you doing? Let us in!” One of Zach’s guard yelled and threw a punch, but Valen’s guard ducked and kicked him back.

“My little Master is not done.” One of Valen’s guards said as they spread their broad shoulders to block the activity going on inside the cafeteria from view.
Inside the cafeteria, Valen slowly raised his head. His long bangs mixed with rice covered one of his eyes but the other eye showed true anger. He had never been this angry in his life. Jeslyn had upset him a lot of times in the past, but not to this extent.

“Screeeech!” He pushed his chair back and stood up. His lips curled up as he slowly walked towards the screaming Zach .

With his hand fisted, he punched Zach in the tummy. So fleshly! He thought.

“Ahh! My hand! My tummy! My back! Guards, save me! He’s a lunatic! It hurts… Stoooop!!”

Zach was screaming, crying, and begging like a big baby as he got his ass whooped until he fell on his back.

Zach was two to three times bigger than Valen, yet he was being beaten like a child.

Valen got on top of him and started to punch his face with all the force his little punch could summon. Not until Zach’s lips were bruised and swollen that he could no longer scream, did Valen let the boy go.

Valen watched the big boy trying to catch his breath before he turned around to leave. However, he suddenly glanced back at Zach’s bleeding hand that had his fork stuck in it and returned to pull it out with great force.

“Ahhhhhhhhh!!!” That was the last scream that escaped Zach’s red and swollen lips before he passed out.

While Valen was beating Lu Zach, his bodyguards were at a standstill with Valen’s guards. Both sides pointing guns at each other.

The school only allows a maximum of two guards for each student, so both parties were of equal numbers.

Valen looked passively at the other bullies and saw they were shivering in their spots. He snorted in disdain before walking in the direction of the door. As Valen walked, all the students robotically opened a path for him while some ran to hide. The boy wasn’t giving a child’s vibe at all. He was a demon, just like his father– Maverick!

With his right hand in his pocket, Valen walked out of the cafeteria to see the fight that was about to happen between his guards and the other side. He didn’t wait for a moment and directly headed straight to the gate without stopping at his class to pick up his bag.

Seeing this, Valen’s guards broke the standstill and started to follow their little master while the other two ran into the cafeteria to save Zach.

One of Valen’s two guards had to go into Valen’s class to get his bag before joining them and walking along with him to leave the school.

Some of the teachers who saw him leaving the school before closing were amazed at the child’s boldness and aura. They knew from the first day this child entered the school that he’d be trouble but they never expected he’d leave school before closing.

The teachers had no idea what Valen had done, if not, they wouldn’t have just stood around, thinking such trivial things.

Soon, Lu Zach was rushed out of the cafeteria and taken to the school’s infirmary to be taken care of. That was when the principal and teachers got to realize what Valen had done.

The school doesn’t permit teachers to be around the cafeteria because some parents complained that their kids don’t like seeing grown-up strangers around them while eating.

Instead of teachers, the children’s bodyguards would be stationed along the corridor in two rows, facing each other in case of emergency.

The Principal almost died when he saw how badly Lu Zach was beaten. He facepalmed as he staggered back in disbelief. Who was the monster who would do something like this to a child? Not just a child but the Lu family’s grandson?!

“Who did this?” He immediately asked the guards that looked even more dejected than him. The Principal knew that the Lu family won’t let them go scot-free for not paying closer attention to their young master.

“The new student, Valen Lu.”

The Principal suddenly heard a buzzing sound in his head and his legs turned jelly, so he fell back.

Good thing another teacher was behind him, so the principal didn’t fall but was supported from the back. “V–valen Lu?!”

“What is that kid? He just resumed last week and had caused so many troubles already. Principal, why did you accept such a troublesome child?” The form teacher, a young woman, couldn’t hold it in and directly lashed out.

“Shut your mouth!” The Principal was the only one who knew Valen’s true identity and was told by Jeslyn to seal his lips or face the consequences, which was why he hadn’t told anyone who Valen was.

Although the Principal knew that Lu Zach was a top–tier bully, however, he thought Valen could bear and ignore, but had no idea that the child would be just as violent as his father. Now, what was he supposed to do?

“Principal, are you still keeping the cursed child’s identity a secret? Look at what he had done to the Lu’s little Master. What are we going to do if the school is closed down because of this?” The form teacher pushed on. Among all the children in her class, she likes Mia more, followed by Lu Zach because she had gotten a lot of benefits and privileges from those children’s parents. She was one of the reasons Lu Zach could bully others without fear of punishment.

She spoiled the kid rotten so much so that he has no fear or respect for anyone, including the Principal.

“I’ll get their parents to settle things.” The Principal turned to look at the nurse. “How is he?”

“He will be fine. I’ve treated the injuries and will give him some pain relief injections to help him get through the day.”

“You mean, he’ll have to rely on painkillers now?” The form teacher asked.

“Unless he’ll be able to bear the pain, then painkillers won’t be needed.” The nurse replied.

“Principal, that child and his parents need to be arrested before the Lu family gets here so they’ll know that we aren’t slacking on this matter,” she urged.

The Principal nodded, “You are right, I’ll hand the case over to you. Call the police.” With that, he left for his office to call their parents. He was sure that the guards already called Lu Zach’s parents but he still has to do it himself. So troublesome.

Thane rolled his eyes and turned away,returning back to his quarters,Genny blinked,staring at his back as he walked away.

Genny sighed and packed her things on the ground before running off to class.

“Thane listen to me!” Indigo called and grabbed his hand as he entered into his bedroom,she followed him,forgetting to close the door.

“Who said you can touch me!!” Thane yelled.

“But you carried another girl!” Indigo shouted.

Thane sighed and run his fingers through his hair,but the second he remembered carrying Genny in his arms,he took off his jacket,then his shirt.

“Get out” He said to Indigo who was already drooling while staring at his chest.

“Do you take pleasure in seducing me and then chasing me away? I understand you’re a wolf and you need to be with your mate,but can’t we just have some fun before she appears? I’m fucking dying to have you,you make me feel crazy and horny every time,call me crazy but that’s exactly how I feel” Indigo said and rushed to him like she would eat him raw.

Thane tried pushing her away but couldn’t,she was already holding him down with her powers.

“Then kill me” Indigo muttered and Thane gave her a killer look.

“You can’t do that right? You can choose to relax,the spell will wave off in ten minutes time” She said and fell before him.

“Stop this shit already……”

Indigo removed his belt and got hold of his dick.

“Don’t!!!” Thane yelled.

“Are they dating? Is she his mate?….okay Genevieve why are you so concerned? Why?!” She screamed.

“Genevieve?” Someone called her and she looked up.

“Master Casen want you In his office,do you know the way there??” He asked.

Atticus left her there and walked away,She stood up and also left.

Genny knocked on the door before going in,Master Casen flashed her a cold smile.

“Good day master” Genny bowed.

“Have your seat” Master Casen said and she did.

“Do you know why I called you here?” He asked.

Genny shook her head.

“You were reported to me by your trainers” Master Casen said and Genny gulped.

“I was told you still seem to be confused even after two days of training,compared to others,is that right? You don’t know what to do or think?”

“Honestly……I don’t think….I can get used to this place” Genny muttered and bite her lips.

“Why? You think you don’t fit in?”

Genny nodded.

“It’s normal feeling that way,but trust me,this is the best decision your parents made” Master Casen muttered and started writing on a piece of paper,after he was done,he handed it over to her.

“That’s the list of our top students,think about it and pick anyone you would like to choose as your private trainer,come back to me after making a decision” He said.

Genny stared at the list in her hand.

1. Orion
2. Kymani
3. Odessa
4. Indigo
5. Zarek

“You can go now”

Genny got up and bowed before walking out of the office,she kept staring at the list.

“Why is…Thane not there?” She mumbled.

“Ohhh,what’s that?” Kymani suddenly crossed her path.

Genny rolled her eyes at him and faced another direction,he followed her and snapped the paper from her hand.

“Hey!! Stop it!!!” Genny screamed and Kymani could feel a sudden breeze blow his hair,he turned back and met Genny’s angry eyes glaring at him.

“Wow…..who made you mad?” He asked with a smile.

“Give me that” Genny said calmly.

“I just wanna take a look” Kymani smiled and checked out the list.

“I’m fully available” he said.

“I don’t want you” Genny snapped and took it from him.

“Why? Shouldn’t you pick the best among the people on that list?” Kymani asked and they started walking together.

“According to this list,you’re not the top person…..”

“Orion can’t beat me……I don’t know why everyone think he’s more powerful,and besides Orion can’t have time for you” Kymani said and Genny looked at him.

“Why?”

“Because he’s always busy watching over the arrogant prince” Kymani replied.

“Are you any better?” Genny rolled her eyes.

“I’m the right choice,that’s what I’m saying,Odessa probably won’t have your time,Indigo can’t either”

“Thanks for your explanation,let’s part ways here” Genny said icely and walked away.

Kymani stopped walking,staring at her as she left.

“She’s pretty” Zarek said beside him.

“Wanna have a taste of her too?” He asked again.

“Shut up,I will do it if I want to” Kymani rolled his eyes and started walking,Zarek chuckled and followed him.

ODESSA AND INDIGO’S ROOM*

Odessa was laying on the bed,arranging her clothes,she was controlling them with her eyes while munching on some sour candy.

The door opened and Indigo entered,Odessa’s eyes followed her as she came in,her face glowing,obviously something good happened. She said nothing to Odessa and started pulling off her clothes.

“I can smell my brother on you,what did you do this time?” Odessa say up on the bed.

“What do you think I’ve done?” Indigo looked at her.

“I can’t tell” Odessa replied and Indigo chuckled.

“Do you really want to listen?” She asked.

“Yeah” Odessa mumbled.

“Ask him yourself” Indigo smiled and stripped naked completely. She walked to the mirror,checking herself out.

“Fucking sexy” She uttered.

Odessa shook her head and chuckled,she fell back on the bed and continued what she was doing.

“That girl….what does she want?” Indigo asked.

“Which girl?”

“Is it Genny?”

“What about her?” Odessa looked at her.

“She fell and made Thane save her…then she came into his room,how did she even know where his quarters is?” Indigo scoffed.

“Are you worried?” Odessa asked,she sat up again.

“I believe my brother’s mate would show up soon…..”

“Don’t be delusional Odessa….you and I know it won’t happen” Indigo faced her with a smirk and Odessa gulped.

“I guess you haven’t told him yet” Indigo smiled.

“Stop it Indigo…maybe we heard wrong you know? I mean…He’s the future alpha,he needs a Luna…..”

“I can become that” Indigo said.

“You’re not a wolf,get that straight,you’re just a witch…..”

Indigo teleported to her with a frown on her face.

“A Luna need to be someone capable,brave,powerful,queen like…and I have all that,it’s not a must to be a wolf,all I need is his bite on my neck and sex to bond” She said and went into the bathroom.

Odessa sighed out.

SAGE AND BEORN’S ROOM*

“I really want to go out” Beorn muttered,staring out of the window.

“The weather is so cool,I wish I can go out of here” He added.

“You should quit the long story and go” Sage replied from his bed.

“Let’s go together” Beorn faced him.

“Together?” Sage asked and Beorn nodded.

“Now??”

Beorn almost replied when they heard a knock on tbe door. Sage got up and went to open.

“Hi” Astrid waved with a smile.

“What is it?” Sage asked.

“Is Beorn in?” She asked.

Sage rolled his eyes and closed the door.

“Who’s that?” Beorn asked.

“Go check by yourself” Sage muttered and sat down.

Beorn went to the door and opened,Astrid immediately smiled.

“Oh….hi” Beorn returned the smile.

“I was wondering if you wanna go out with me,we still have few hours before the training” Astrid said.

“Sorry but maybe next time,not today” Beorn said softly.

“When? I want to know” Astrid mumbled.

“Tomorrow?”

“Great!” Astrid grinned and waved at him before walking away,Beorn closed the door.

“Why did you tell her that?” Sage asked without raising his head.

“Weren’t we supposed to go out together?” Boern looked at him.

“You should have followed her,she might start thinking silly if she see us going out after you rejected her,you know everyone here never stopped watching us……….”

“Am I supposed to start thinking about what other students thinks? What exactly do you want? You get mad if I hang out too much with others and now you want me to go with her……..”

“So you rejected her because of me?” Sage looked up.

“What are you talking about? I told her no because we were planing to do something together,am I supposed to ditch you for her?” Beorn asked.

“Actually,I wasn’t planning to go with you” Sage muttered.

Beorn sighed and fell on his bed.

“Now I really wish we are dating like everyone thinks,you’re even giving me headache more than a girl” He mumbled and closed his eyes.

“Wake me up when it’s time for training,if you still like me,you seem to hate me these days” He added and Sage scoffed.

EVENING, GENNY’S ROOM*

“Genny!!!” Ondine and Juna rushed in excitedly and Genny looked up from her bed.

“What’s up?” She asked.

“Here!!!” They both showed her the book in their hands and she raised her brows.

“What’s that?”

“Master said we can join class B from tomorrow!!!!” They screamed at once and Genny gasped.

“Wow!! Congratulations!” She screamed and jumped down from the bed,hugging them both at a time.

“I’m so happy,this is my dream! This means we are doing well!” Juna jumped.

“I’m so happy for you guys” Genny chuckled.

They all sat down.

“How about you? Have you decided yet? Which one are you Picking” Ondine asked.

“Zarek is a No..Kymani is also a No..Indigo,a big no…you can choose between Orion and Odessa” Juna said.

Genny sighed.

“I wish Thane would be the one” She mumbled.

“I know,it would have been nice if Thane can train you privately,but….Thane have never accepted to train anyone,you won’t be any different,so just choose between those two” Ondine said.

“I will go for Odessa,,,I should go and tell her” Genny got up.

“It’s training period right now,so you won’t see her” Juna said.

“Shouldn’t you join too? You’re now in B” Genny said.

“Master said we can start from tomorrow” Ondine smiled and Genny nodded.

TRAINING ARENA*

All rank B students were already present waiting for A and their masters.

“So this is how we are going to wait for them every time?” Maren asked,looking fed up.

“You know they are full of themselves,obviously” Astrid said.

Just then,Odessa and Indigo walked in.

“You mean we are going to start training with these things?” Indigo asked loudly.

“Things?” Astrid asked,glaring at her.

“You want to do something?” Indigo asked,sitting down in all her pride.

“You can’t just call us things,we aren’t useless here” Ophelia said.

“Should I repeat what I said and let’s see if you’re useless or not?” Indigo smiled.

“Hey you bitch!” Astrid made to rush to her.

Indigo opened her palm and a ball of fire appeared on it.

“You might want to have a taste of it” She grinned wickedly.

“Leave it Astrid” Maren said and Ophelia held Astrid back.

“Were you always this trashy?” Sage suddenly asked from the back and all eyes fell on him,everyone quiet.

“Who talked?” Indigo asked.

Sage walked closer to her.

“You want to see my handsome face badly?” He asked.

Beorn and Odessa chuckled.

Indigo scoffed and stood up.

“Stop it Indigo,we are here to train” Odessa pulled her back.

Kymani and Zarek came in minutes later then their masters all arrived.

“What about Thane and Orion?” Master Nyx asked.

“I can go and call Thane” Indigo said.

“Never mind,He’s not coming” Odessa said,already unsheathing the sword in her hand and Indigo rolled her eyes.

The training session took about an hour and everyone started leaving.

“Odessa” Master Caren called her back and she returned to him.

“Genny choose you to be her personal trainer” He said.

“Oh….okay” she smiled.

“You don’t mind right?”

“Of course not,I will be happy to help. Tell someone to call her to meet me in the old library” She said before leaving.

NIGHT, LIBRARY*

Genny was alone in the library,she was busy reading the books Odessa gave her to read that she didn’t even notice it was already late,until she suddenly heard the rain falling.

Genny sprang up and checked the time.

“Fuck!” She cursed and closed the books,she kept them safe somewhere before running out of the library,the rain haven’t gotten heavy yet but the wall from here back to her room is quite some distance.

She started running,to know that it was really late already,the institute lights were already turned off.

“Oh no” She muttered,it was all quiet,not seeing a single student.

All of a sudden four strange beings appeared in front of her and Genny screamed in fear.

They surrounded her,opening mouths like they are hungry,Genny gulped when she saw the horns in their heads.

‘De….mons’ she said inwardly.

One of them grabbed her by the neck making her struggle for breath.

“No…..” Genny cried,tears rolling down her eyes,she couldn’t even speak,he was draining her energy.

The demon released her neck and was about sinking his claws into her tummy.

Genny screamed out the only name in her blank head with the remaining energy left inside her.

“Thane!!!!!!!!”

A loud thunder struck as soon as she called him,she just realized that the one holding her already released her.

Thane appeared in third midst and immediately they bowed.

“Your…..highness”

“How dare you!!!!” Thane roared,his eyes red like flames of fire.

He didn’t move from where he was…..the ground opened wide and sank deep inside on one side,sign of fire coming from inside and the heat was even coming out,though the rain was still falling.

Genny gulped in total shock.

‘What is he?’ She asked inwardly,her eyes on Thane.

“Throw yourself inside” Thane ordered and immediately the demons jumped In one after the other,she could hear them growling loudly inside.

Thane closed the ground back and his eyes met with Genny’s own,coldly.

“Thank you” Genny mumbled in tears,but Thane’s cold glare didn’t soften.

Genny started walking over to him.

“Don’t come close” Thane said.

Genny continue walking to him,weakly,signs of the demon’s grip on her neck,it was so red and has few cuts too.

“I said don’t come close!” Thane yelled.

Genny stopped in front of him.

“Don’t you….want something…in return again?” She stuttered,her body shaking with cold.

Thane looked at her and suddenly she did the least expected,she grabbed his collar and pulled him down to her height before slamming her lips on his own,kissing him gently.

Thane blinked,in shock. He didn’t move or kiss her back.

Her lips stopped moving and her eyes went shut,she lost her consciousness.

She was almost falling,Thane held her by the waist and pulled her back to himself,their bodies collided,under the rain.

Genny opened her eyes again and their eyes locked,she saw his eyes glowing in purple and her heart beats raced.

“Pretty…….eyes” She smiled and then lost her consciousness again.

Thane carried her in a bridal style,his eyes on her face. Her head dropped backward and her long hair loosen from it’s bun,Thane continue staring at her face,not minding the rain beating them both.

His eyes fell on her boobs which could be seen through her blouse because of the wetness from the rain,he gulped.

*She’s so hot* Thorne(Thane’s wolf) said naughtily.

“What is she??” Thane mumbled.

PROLOGUE

Genevieve Douglas,Genny Douglas for short, was a normal teenager until her eighteenth birthday,that was the beginning of her mystery.

It was strange,she felt weird,she tried to keep it to herself,scared of being tagged as a freak,or probably a psycho,who would believe what she was going through? How would she explain the voices in her head,how would she tell anyone that she literally hears people speaking loud and clear from afar?

No one would believe that,come on,this is reality not a fantasy book or movie.

But then it happened,her secret was exposed,all the days of keeping them came to an end and she found herself in a strange land where she might have to live for the rest of her life.

For she’s different,that’s her place,not among the humans. Even though she never got along with anyone in school,she was the timid and weak girl everyone makes fun of,still she loved going to school everyday. And now she have to leave that life,to face her reality.

Sometimes what seems to be our fate and reality might end up not being the true reality.

That’s exactly what it’s like,in Genny Douglas’ case.

How’s she going to cope with this new life?

CHAPTERS 1 & 2

TWO MONTHS AGO, DOUGLAS’ HOUSE*

Genevieve entered her room with pretty smile on her face,she closed the door and twisted around with a little dance,her long black hair flowing along with the breeze coming in through the window,the weather outside is dark and cloudy,meaning it might rain tonight,just as she was thinking about that,the rain started.

She sighed and head happily and ran to the window,she closed the window and pulled the curtains down. The rain fall sounded even more louder in her ears.

“Wow,not ony birthday..well thank goodness it’s night already” she smiled at her own words before running to settle down in front of her boxed presents.

She’s got no friends to come over to give her presents,but at least her parents never missed that.

As she sat down and began unboxing one of the five wrapped presents,two voices echoed in her ears that the box dropped from her hand. She could hear it loud and clear,her parents voice.

“You said it Douglas,she’s eighteen now,when are you going to tell her we don’t intend on keeping her here after this birthday?” She heard her mom’s voice and her eyes widened.

Though,they told her as she was growing up that they aren’t are real parents,they just found her one fortunate day and decided to keep her,but honestly she never imagined there would never a day where they would decide to send her away.

“It’s just today,come on. We can’t just go to her and tell her to leave,at least she’s still our daughter”

“Remember what the seer said? It might be dangerous keeping her after she clocks eighteen”

“Dangerous?” Genny mumbled and stood up,she was only wondering why they decided to talk about this right in front of her room door.

She walked to the door and opened but nobody,the voices got even louder,she continue walking and walking,that was when she realized,her parents aren’t close to her at all,and with the heavy rainfall she’s not supposed to hear their voices so loud and clear even if they are close to her.

“What’s this?” She asked herself,now getting scared.

Her parents turned out to be downstairs,,her room is almost at the end of the passage when you go upstairs. Genny turned in fear and ran back to her room,her body shaking.

She looked around,it was as if the rain was falling right inside her ears,her parents voices jingling in her ears.

She fell on the bed and covered her ears with the pillow but it got even more worse. The breeze blowing,animals running from afar,sounds of birds running for shelter,everything was happening,inside her ears that in the end she passed out.

PRESENT DAY, SPRINGDALE HIGH SCHOOL*

Genny walked into the school compound and as usual she could hear the tiniest voice from afar,as she passed and walked in the midst of students,she was hearing their heartbeat,even their thoughts,all ringing in her head. It’s no longer a new thing.

She sighed out and used her earpiece,increasing her pace toward her class.

“Here comes the freak”

“Weirdo”

The students started laughing but Genny was used to it,she walked straight to her seat which was separated from the other students at the back of the class.

She could see the class queens making up in the class,the boys not taking their eyes off them. Genny sighed,knowing she would never be up to their level,her wish. She saw her own reflection in the mirror,she’s got no make up on like other girls,not even a lip gloss.

‘You’re pretty Genny’ She tried to convince herself but how would she?? If she’s that pretty,why would they bully her like that? She doesn’t even have a crush,maybe her crush could have saved her from them,like in the movies.

After the first three lectures,it was free time,Genny put her head on her desk to take a nap.

“Hey!” Someone shouted,tapping her desk repeatedly and she opened her eyes to see them..three girls,the class Queens,her greatest enemies,they hate her more than anyone in school.

“Come with us loser” They grabbed her hair and dragged her out of the class with it.

“What do you want,please let me go,I can give you my allowance if you want” Genny pleaded as they pulled her into the locker room and locked the door.

“You really think we are doing this for money?” One of them asked.

“Then….why…..” A slap landed on Genny’s face and she swallowed. .

“I just hate your annoying face,that’s all” Their leader said.

“But…I…didn’t do… anything wrong” Genny muttered,tears rolling down her eyes.

“So you are saying we are wrong?!!”

She immediately shook her head.

“I’m just….”

“Stop talking!!!” They yelled and started pushing her to themselves,her sight became blurry,they pushed her to the ground and she began touching and tapping to get her sight back.

“Did she become blind?” One of them asked and they laughed.

“Stop pretending and get up bitch!” They grabbed her hair and pulled her up again,her face got smashed on the wall and they continue messing her up while laughing hard.

All of a sudden,a breeze from nowhere blew on Genny,she could feel her head banging like it’s not hers. The laughters from them sounded so distant that she could hardly hear them as they continue kicking her on the floor.

She gained a sudden strength and her body wasn’t hers for some minutes,neither was she thinking with her brain.

By the time she got herself back,she was in the middle of tons of studebts,everyone watching her with terror,fear,hatred in their eyes.

Genny looked around and found the three girls somewhere,all looking a mess with blood over their faces and bodies,she looked down at her hands and gasped,they are bloody.

“Did I…did I….do….that?” She asked herself,tears falling from her eyes.

She beat them up like a witch

Is she a monster?

I was actually scared to see it

I’ve always knew she was weird

I hate her

She should be expelled

Their voices and thoughts rang like bells in Genny’s ears.

“No….no…” She covered her ears but it wasn’t helpful. They kept getting louder.

“No!! Stop!!! Please!!! Ahh!!!! No!!!” Tears falling from her eyes,her sight blurry, all she could see everyone pointing hands at her,she was traumatized,she wanted to die.

“Please……please….stay back!! Ahh!!!!” She was shaking where she was sitting,wishing anything that would just end her life that minute.

MISS GENEVIEVE DOUGLAS,TO THE DETENTION ROOM PLS

The voice of the principal came.

Genny swallowed and tapped the floor countless times,trying to gain some stamina and strength to get up,some students kicked her hand and she fell back on the ground.

She was crying bitterly as they kept kicking and some throwing random things at her.

Go to hell!!

Witch!!

She managed to get up,finding her way to the detention room,her hair covering her face,looking scattered. She was looking so rough,her lips dry,her face with endless tesars.

She entered the room and closed the door,she sat down and itched her hair like a lunatic,she was really going crazy already.

What has she done to deserve these??

About an hour later,someone came to call her that her parents were there in school,she was pushed out of the detention room and she walked her way to meet her parents.

“You’re withdrawing me out of school? I didn’t do anything wrong! They bullied me first!” Genny cried as she walked after her parents.

“So you hit them so bad that they bled?! Their blood is all over your body!!” Mr Douglas yelled.

“My blood is there too” Genny said in tears.

“It’s manifesting,what the seer said. We can’t keep her” Mrs Douglas said.

Genny blinked out tears,they entered the car and drove out of school.

It was silent until they arrived home.

“Start packing your things Genevieve,for tomorrow” Mr Douglas said.

“No! You can’t throw me out,please,I have nowhere else to go” Genny fell on her knees.

Mrs Douglas went upstairs without saying a word.

“We aren’t throwing you out Genny,but you can’t stay here either. You should have noticed by now,you feel strange,you’re not the same anymore”

“Then….what…happens to me? What are you doing to do?” She trembled.

“Years back,we met a woman who predicted this…..and she gave us a solution too,that’s what I’m going to do,don’t worry Genny,you’re still my daughter no matter what,but in this situation,we have to help ourselves. You will be fine,just pack your clothes and stuffs,we are leaving early tomorrow morning,for it’s a long journey” Mr Douglas said and went upstairs.

Genny got up the floor and went to her room in tears,she looked around the room and more tears rolled down.

Nevertheless,she pulled out her box and started packing her things,maybe it’s for the best,she have no say in this,even if it’s going to be a bad decision,she have no choice.

It’s either she faces her doom end where she’s going or she finds a solution to what’s happening to her,right?

“I hate my life,I’m so useless” She cried out.

5AM NEXT MORNING*

Genny sighed out loudly as she put her bag in the car trunk,Mr Douglas came out of the house.

“Let’s go” He said in a reassured voice.

Genny could see Mrs Douglas staring at her from inside,she waved gently before going into the car,they took off.

Genny couldn’t help but wonder and imagine how life is going to be from now on.

The journey was long indeed,and tiring,sleeping on the way countless times to wake up and see that the car is still moving.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm orange glow over the landscape, They finally entered the town at exactly 6PM. The first thing that caught Genny’s attention was a signboard looming in the distance, with the town’s name emblazoned in bold, capital letters: RAVENWOOD.

As they drew closer, she noticed people milling about, families and individuals alike, their faces aglow with an otherworldly light.

The town itself exuded a strange, dark energy, like a palpable mist that clung to every surface. The buildings seemed to lean in, as if sharing a sinister secret, their windows like empty eyes staring back. The streets were narrow and winding, paved with uneven cobblestones that seemed to shift beneath their feet. The air was heavy with the scent of damp earth and decaying leaves, and Genny could feel the weight of the town’s history bearing down upon her.

As they continued on, another signboard came into view: RAVENWOOD HIGH SCHOOL AHEAD.

It was as if the town had suddenly been abandoned, leaving only the eerie silence and the looming presence of the school. The buildings seemed to grow taller and more menacing, their gray stone façades absorbing the fading light of day.

Finally, they entered the school compound, and Genny’s breath caught in her throat. The building loomed before them, a massive, gray monolith that seemed to absorb the light around it.

Mr Douglas parked in the lots and they both stepped down from the car. Genny wouldn’t stop looking around,the school is large,it’s like a whole empire or maybe palace on its own.

“Here” Mr Douglas took her box out and she immediately held the handle,following him.

She could see boys and girls around her age walking around,they met someone like a teacher and she directed them to an office.

After walking for about five minutes they got to the door of the office,the tag was written on the door. MASTER CASEN.

“Master? Not principal?” Genny asked herself.

Mr Douglas knocked on the door and a deep voice told them to come in which they did.

“You’re welcome Mr Douglas” Master Casen,a man in his forties said.

“Thank you so much master,this is my daughter,Genny like I told you”

Master Casen looked at Genny and nodded.

“You don’t have to worry young girl,we are here to help you..you will meet your mates with the same abilities so don’t be scared,you belong here”

As Master Casen said that,it became dawn on Genny…this is a supernatural school,where she can learn her abilities,where her questions can be answered,hearing people’s thought wasn’t natural,why haven’t she noticed??

“Thank you sir” She said and managed to smile.

After the long talk,she was given her dorm room number and a map to direct her,because according to master Casen,the boy who is to show her to her room got into a little accident and is unavailable.

She said a final goodbye to her dad and set out of the office to face the reality before her.

As Genny stepped out of the office, the evening lights cast a warm glow over the sprawling campus. The air was alive with an otherworldly energy, and the shadows seemed to writhe and twist in the flickering illumination. She dragged her box behind her, the wooden wheels creaking in protest as she made her way through the crowded corridors.

The students milled about, their eyes fixed on her with a mixture of curiosity and disdain. Genny felt like an outsider, a stranger in a strange land. They whispered to each other, their voices hushed and urgent, as they watched her struggle with her luggage.

Like master Casen told her. “You’ll find your quarters in the east wing. Don’t get lost.”

As she made her way through the winding corridors, Genny caught glimpses of students displaying their abilities. A boy with wings, soared through the air, his feathers rustling softly. A girl with skin like moonlight conjured a shimmering aura, her eyes glowing like stars. They moved with grace and precision, their powers unfolding like a dance.

But amidst the beauty and wonder, Genny sensed a dark undercurrent. The school seemed to vibrate with an ominous energy, like a storm waiting to unleash its fury. The shadows seemed to pulse with a malevolent life of their own, and the air was heavy with secrets and whispers.

As she walked, the students ignored her existence, their eyes sliding over her like she was a ghost. Genny felt a shiver run down her spine, her heart pounding in her chest. She quickened her pace, her box scraping against the stone floor.

And finally she saw the dorm ahead of her…..AURORA ANNEX written on top of it.

She started climbing the wide stair to cross over to the dorm,she climbed up,dragging her box behind her on the ground,but as if luck wasn’t on her side,her box opened and fell from her hand back downstairs,her clothes scattered.

“Oh no” She groaned and turned in frustration and anger,for hell sake,she just dropped from a thirteen hours journey with no food all through and now she’s passing through this??

Just as she was thinking of going down to pack her stuffs,a random guy showed up and picked up a piece of her clothes,her eyes widened,he just picked up her pantie.

“Hey!” Genny shouted and rushed downstairs,she let out a gasp when the guy inhaled her pantie and let out a smirk.

“Nice scent you’ve got” He smiled.

“Pervert” She mumbled and grabbed it from him.

“I’m Kymani,I see you’re new here” He smiled.

Genny scoffed and turned away from him only to bump into another body.

“Oh…I’m sorry” She immediately apologized before raising her head…it’s a guy.

She was welcomed by his piercing gaze snapping towards her, his eyes blazing with a dangerous intensity that made her feet feel like sinking into the ground,his chiseled features radiating an aura of coldness. Yet, despite his icy demeanor, he exuded a raw, masculine beauty that left Genny breathless. His sharp jawline and angular cheekbones were accentuated by his raven-black hair, which fell messily across his forehead. His eyes, a deep, piercing blue, seemed to bore into her very soul.

He wore a black leather jacket, adorned with silver studs, over a crisp white shirt and dark jeans, giving off an air of rebellious sophistication. A silver chain glinted around his neck, drawing attention to his chiseled chest. His outfit was effortlessly cool, yet menacing, like a dark storm cloud on the horizon.

As he glared at Genny, his full lips pressed into a thin line, his gaze seemed to strip her bare, leaving her feeling vulnerable and exposed.

She swallowed hard,finding no words to say,her legs shaking before him.

Some students started passing,bowing to him.

Genny’s eyes widened and a sudden coldness covered her body.
