BJ stare at his club as bodies were swaying around, this is one of the night where he just hid himself in a corner and watch the drama unfold, watching it from the CCTV isn’t as real has watching it with your own eyes with a glass of whiskey on the rocks.
This is paradise, what better way to make money than to watch others squander their money in his club for fun
Downstairs a Yahoo boy had booked the VIP lounge for his birthday night, but his guests has extended to the main floor, lots of weird underage kids were roaming around there,
Bj had double the security for tonight but he still expecting a blowout from those weirdos. Sometimes they are fun most times they are ho.rny barbarians who want to have it all in one night
Which is why he has his Police friend on speed dial, he had always tried to put everything into consideration even The inevitable. Which is someone is definitely going to misbehave tonight
At one end, Steve and Murphy were boozing off…. somehow that circle seem to have grown boring these days, their usual spot was taking so they were hanging beside the bar ,a little space he caved out for his pals. They were just staring blankly at the dance floor
Almost like the life of the party isn’t here and it was true… Jimi Benson wasn’t here.
The only guy that knows how to keep the party rocking hard, even though he hates to admit to himself is Jimi Benson
He had been the one pushing the club from the very beginning, he knows how to enchant the ladies,and a club where hot ladies party hangout is a bubbling club
Jimi had the looks, the charisma, the popularity, the money and the flow. Now he just doesn’t want to party.. BJ stopped himself from dialling Jimi’s number again tonight,he had made it obvious that he wasn’t going to party like before
And now that he is actually seeing this girl,it only make matters worse, he couldn’t help but wonder when whatever he has going with this girl is going to ends, preferably as soon as possible
He misses his party King and most of all his best friend. he missed hanging out with Jimi and trashing Ladies as usual, he missed talking business and getting advise from the business guru himself.
This circle is BJ’s family, work has him balling day and night ,the time out with his family is all he needs to blow off steam
He glare at Steve and Murphy again and nods disappointingly they are getting tired, Murphy would probably excuse himself in the next few minutes to head home to his family and Steve will probably doze off at the 3rd round or request for Uber to take him home and that’s the end of it
It was certain they miss Jimi as much as he does, so BJ picked up his drink and head back to his office, another night gone wrong

Jimi was having a bad day, Diana had gone for that trip and let him behind, she didn’t even let him drop her off at the airport.
Sometimes she treats him worse than a stranger and that drives him nuts. He wasn’t surprised that Anita didn’t pay any attention to what he said yesterday, his words hold no water with her
Now if Diana finds out about that she’d be pissed but he couldn’t just fold his hands and not do anything
Steve was munching his food in the cafeteria when jimi strolled in, he hadn’t seen his friend in a while because he rarely visits the cafeteria.
This days he takes his lunch in the comfort of his office just so he can get back to work on time and close on time so he can pick his girlfriend from work
Today after contemplating on whether to eat out or not, his secretary had given him the all work no play lecture and he had to come down here today.
When Steve raised his head their eyes met and Jimi grinned as he head towards Steve
“Hey Stevio my man”
“Hey Jimi” he grinned in between his fries
“You must be really hungry, have been watching you eat like an hungry lion”
“Is that why you were contemplating whether to sit with me or not”
“Of course not, You might be eating a little crazy but you are still my dude”
“Really…… Am I still your dude, coz I can’t remember the last time we sat together to eat let alone hang out even though we walk in the same building”
“Yeah it’s been a while” Jimi placed his order quickly
“What’s up with you Jimi”
“I’m good….. You!”
“I don’t think so, are you sure you are not sick or something… Were you diagnosed with an ailment, STI or is it gonorrhea or even HVI”
“Christ.. what!, why on earth would you wish such on me”
“Am sorry man, it’s just that you’ve been acting really weird lately”
“Weird how”
“I don’t know, totally not you…. Several times when I come to your office your suddenly fat looking secretary will tell me you are busy. Always busy”
“She’s not fat she’s pregnant ” Jimi interrupted
“Huh, you got someone pregnant” Steve gasps
“No.. I mean my secretary”
“Wait what… You got Clara pregnant. Jimi are you insane, what happened to work limits”
“Eew no, don’t be stupid ,am just trying to let you know Clara is pregnant but am not the father”
“Okay so why are you telling me this”
“Because you think she’s getting fat whereas she’s pregnant”
“Oh really, she looks nice but why are you changing the subject.. I don’t care if your secretary is pregnant or not its none of my business…. What am really worried about is your change in behavior lately”
“Why do you people keep saying that”
“Coz its true….. At first I thought you were just ignoring me or probably you had another riff with bj but that’s far from it”
“Hold on! did bj put you up for this…. Just because I didn’t come to that silly open night ”
“Stop being a baby jimi, bj can not ask me for such…. Am just worried as a friend”
“Then Worry not Steve, am cool, just stop with the crazy assumptions, gonorrhea or getting someone pregnant. Am really doing okay”
“No you’re not”
“I’ve just been really busy and nothing more”
“You can’t fool me jimi, something’s up I can feel it ,what are you chasing so much”
“Other than the fact that I’m really missing someone, everything is pretty cool”
“Who are you missing”
“Someone, why must you know;”
“That might just be able to relive you from your mystery of hiding things from us”
“I can’t really explain it… I just feel empty without her”
“Her…. It’s a she ” Steve said sounding disappointed
“Well yeah, were you expecting a dude… I’m so straight dude”
“No one said anything about you being gay, so who’s this woman that made you miserable”
“Don’t worry about it”
“Jimi , a girl is the reason you’ve actually caged”
Jimi ignores him and eats his food quietly
“Now you’re not saying anything”
“I don’t have all day Steve…. My desk is full and lunch break is almost over”
“This is the same work you have been doing for over a year so what’s different now”
“The demand ,the pressure, everything”
“The demand and the pressure has always been there but this girl this new girl of us is a completely different wave”
“Maybe am just tired of the usual pattern of life we use to live , you of all people should understand me Steve. You know how this takes a toll on your relationship”
“My case is very different”
“How! Has your girlfriend stop hanging over your head about your late nights and drinking habits”
“You know my girlfriend is the jealous type whether or not I hang out with you guys she’ll always have something to worry about”
“So are you saying you wouldn’t step back from it if it threatens your relationship”
“Maybe but it’s not the same besides we are not talking about my relationship here. We are talking about you”
“Guy it’s the same. We are all to make certain sacrifices sometimes”
“So you agree that this your new girlfriend is changing you”
“We are going through a difficult phase and am just trying to let her know that I take her seriously”
“Can you hear yourself man! You use to preach to me against commitments and devotion to just one lady. And look at you, you are doing exactly the same maybe even more”
“Don’t be ridiculous. It’s a phase, it’ll pass . Am sure I’ll be able to work out a schedule that’s beneficial for everyone. Even my pops is coming back to Town next week. I’ll have to make time for everyone
Oh speaking of timing my girl is out of town for the week we can go out tonight”
Besides he doesn’t want to spend the night thinking and dwelling about Diana

Esther joined Simi on the lounge by the pool, they were enjoying girl’s time at a fancy hotel pool where they are currently lodging to celebrate their friend’s bridal shower
The other girls were in the pool including Nancy, Simi seem to be enjoying the view from her own side on the hammock bouncing back and forth
“Babes aint you going to join them” Esther asked
“You know I don’t swim” simi stated the obvious
“Oh that’s true…. You haven’t gotten over your anxiety”
“I think that’s… My problem what’s yours.. I know you are dying to be in the pool so why are you not showing off your perfect shape,”
“I have other things that occupying my mind”
“Things like what” simi wondered, there’s always a but with Esther
“Like when am going to be celebrated the same way we are celebrating ijeoma”
“Yeah pretty soon”
“This is a big deal for me, I am two years older than ijeoma and she’s already off the charts,I have to think about my life …. although some people are so shameless they dont know when they are getting too overjoyed for someone else’s happiness ”
she glared at the pool
“By that do you mean Nancy”
“No offense but since your brother dumped her she hadn’t even made an effort to move on you keep pestering her and somehow it looks as if you are the one reminding her that she’s single and needs to mingle….. I mean am sure somewhere in that pathetic mind of hers, she’s thinking that jimi would run back into her arms… ”
She burst into laughter throwing her head back
“I mean seriously that girl needs a wake up call she’s probably thinking that your mom will get involved, she’ll match make her and your brother again, have you notice how happy and giggling she’s been lately”
“How.. How do you know my mom would be bringing back together”
“She told me about it, but am slightly offended by you, why didn’t you inform me”
“Inform you about what. Even if Nancy was thinking that way,you are the last person she should have ever talk to about it”
“There you go again Simi. Making me feel like the bad egg”
“That’s because you are the bad egg Esther.
Have you ever thought that maybe you are the one with the problem here, I mean why would I waste my time to tell you anything when it obvious you’ll say one thing and do another.. Double and filter what you heard just to manipulate the other person
See how badly you spoke about Nancy, your own friend yet she’s the pathetic one.. just because She’s stupid enough to have trusted you.
You’re the one hoping that my brother would run back to your arms just because he mess around with you for a week or thereabout and you’ve waited a long time for him to come back way longer than Nancy…. And the truth is Jimi is not coming back to either of you so it’s pointless for you to be backbiting your best friend over a man
I really wish she could just open her eyes and see you for what you truly are…… ”
Simi stood up and walked away
