Epilogue

Second chances are rare atimes they are impossible. Most relationships don’t get a second chance, some do and either s¢rew it up or it just doesn’t work

Diana didn’t believe it was going to work until she was standing in front of him and crying her eyes out

She wasn’t crying because her two best friends are married and moving on to have an amazing life together

Not because she has spent the last six months without her daughter or just because she couldn’t help the emotions running through

Of course she was crying because Jimi was standing there and all the emotions were rushing in and even after six months she still loves him

But here she was about a year later

Diana stood in front of the mirror and analyzed herself, over the last couple of months, her life has completely reformed. She went from being just the regular Miss Diana to Mrs Benson and now looking down at the huge lump in her stomach she could boost from this overwhelming happiness

This morning, her husband had surprised her by bringing the whole family together to celebrate her birthday, her mom was here, and so were her in laws and even her best friend and her husband

Life was being so good to her, never had she thought she could be grateful for how the world treats her and how things always turn out for her but today, now she was the happiest she could be, and her family was the best gift ever

A gentle knock on the door and a giggling looking Martha walked in

“Hey hello there birthday girl”

“Marty, thank God you are here, am completely stuck I don’t know what to wear every dress that I try on feels inappropriate”

“How so”

“I dont know, I just turn out looking like bag of tomatoes and even worst I feel like a house. I don’t think there’s anything in here that works”

“That’s what being pregnant is, just wear one of this…. ”
She picked a white dress from the bed

” everything you wear suits you… Whether you are pregnant or not”

“Cmon don’t flatter me, That’s exactly what jimi says … He keeps telling me that my pregnant version is the most beautiful sight of me. Can you imagine that”

“That’s just adorable, more babies on the way”

‘H’ll no….. I admit it is an incredible feeling when I watched Dorcas go through this I didn’t know the extend of this period the feeling, the anxiety, the pain, the bond and now I do I mean I know how clueless I was when Betty was asking me all these questions about being pregnant. I do think it’s different for everyone and I can clearly say… I think I am fine with the current number of offsprings on the way and the one here already.. I will live child bearing to you and all the other mothers in the world”

“We’ll try our best, You know … I have been your friend for over 7years and I had no idea what your birthday is, I was slightly sad when I had to hear it from jimi first. I mean you just act like you fell off the calendar”

“Honestly, I stop paying attention to it that I myself forgot about it, jimi had to call mom to confirm it…. It’s not you Marty its me I had a really messed up path and I let it affect everyone around me am really sorry”

“Oh pls don’t make me cry, today is not a day for that, but am the one getting my hormones flying all over the place……. Now get dressed woman they are waiting for us”

“They … How many of them are out there. Jimi said it’s only a few people”

“Just a few people. What am I suppose to call them . ”

“Woooah! am freaking out I don’t want this to be awkward”

“No silly. Let’s just go”

Diana got dressed and they went outside to the garden where a feast was holding, diana’s heart melt at the sight of it, a barbeque grill was by the corner, with chap man, everyone was greeting and hugging her with love…. Diana felt thrilled and special. They were alot of people more than she thought will be there

After a while of chatting and laughing, Abby was playing with her grandfather while Mrs Benson and Diana’s mom were having a conversation it seem unreal that they are actually here.

Marty and Joy were also gisting, and Jimi was with his friends bj, Philip and Steve, Diana walked towards them and grabbed her husbands arm

“Sorry guys… May I borrow this guy for a sec”

“Sure…”

“By all means”
They smiled as she dragged Jimi to the far end of the open garden

“Hey easy there…. Missy, be careful not to trip”

“Am not worried about tripping coz am always tripping for you hubby”

“Is that a compliment coming from you ”

“Maybe”
She grabbed him by the collar and kssed him passionately

“Now What was that for… ” Jimi asked smiling as she pulled back

“Do you want me to take it back”

“Of course not. Can I get another one” he winked

“Not right now. Anyways Thank you so much, I really don’t know what to say, You make me so happy”

“And so do you…. You know I will do anything just to make you smile”
