CAMILLE’S POV
Words can’t explain how I felt when I told Annie everything. I can’t continue hiding it forever. I just need to tell someone now that my life is in danger after all the dramas I pulled with Asher.
The right person to tell is Annie. Someone I once doubted, Someone I once thought she is against me. What would have happened if I had cut all ties with her after my so called dream.
When she told me she wasn’t aware, I was shocked. I thought all her advice the other day was for me to stand up to Asher myself. For me to stop been a weakling and act strong in front of him but I guessed I was wrong.
She only said that because of the way I behaved in front of Scarlett.
“Do you want to know what am going to do?” Annie asked me and I nod my head negatively.
“I am going to kill him, for raising his hands on you.. he is so dead” Annie said standing up and I got scared.
“Annie, where to?” I asked in fear. Annie is capable of doing anything when she is angry. A lot of things would go wrong if I allow her leave.
“To find that animal and make him suffer. I will cut those stupid balls of his and feed it to him to eat”
To be honest, Annie is actually scaring me right now.
“Annie, calm down please” I pleaded and Annie looked at me flabbergasted.
“Camile, this man caused you nothing but pain. She caused you pain physically, emotionally and sxually and here you are telling me to calm down. Is something sting with you?” Annie retorted, raising her voice.
“That’s not it. You going to meet him now would only cause more problem. What I should be planning now is how to get rid of him and out of my life forever”
“And how is that going to be possible if I don’t set him straight. Camille, he needs to go to jail!” Annie pointed out.
“Yeah, i know and I want you to reason with me. I myself know hits me, you also know he hits me, you believed that but do you think others and the police would believe if we report him? We don’t even have proof. You going to meet him now will cause more havoc. Annie, I know what you can do when you are angry and the end result wont be good and you probably would be the one taken to jail” I explained and I think Annie started seeing Sense in what am saying because she relaxed and took her seat back.
“I understand. I just got really angry. Sorry. Am also angry at you camille, for keeping something as huge as this away from me”
I bowed down my head sadly. “I know and am sorry”
“It’s fine. I understand how you must have felt and why you couldn’t tell me. I understand okay?” Annie assured and I half smiled, nodding.
“Now, back to Asher. First of all, you aren’t going back to that house”
“Never!” I nodded in confirmation.
“Secondly, you are divorcing him..”
“Yes!” I confirmed.
“Thirdly, he is going to jail”
“Very necessary but….” I said and Annie looked at me.
“The second and last one would be really hard. Asher doesn’t even want to divorce me…”
“But he finds pleasure in hurting you. What could be his reason?” Annie raised her brows thinking.
“That, I don’t know”
“I would make sure the divorce works out. Just leave it to me okay?”
“Annie…”
“Leave it to me. I need to think and strategize. You should probably go to sleep. You aren’t strong yet”
“I am”
Annie glared at me. “And I tell you, you are not. Take a rest or you won’t like what I will do to you”
I raised my hands up in surrender.
“Yes mommy” I said mockingly and she rolled her eyes.

AUTHOR’S POV…
Asher was in the hospital ward seated next to his mom who was lying on the bed.
The doctor said she would be fine and had only fainted due to shock.
Asher’s mind kept replaying what happened earlier at the house. He wasn’t expecting Camille to have spoken up so boldly and at worst, told his mom everything.
The camille he knows so well is very weak. The camille he knows can’t stand up to her self.
What changed? How did she suddenly change overnight. Asher was a bit scared. Scared of Camilel telling others and his secret been revealed to the world.
He can’t allow that. He can’t let it happen. He have to do something. Something to make Camille be scared of him once more.
He heard a movement and saw his mom slowly opening her eyes. She looked around and then at her house.
“Where am I?” She asked.
“The hospital” he simony replied.
“What am I…” She stopped her words as she recalled everything that happened before she fainted.
“Asher!” She screamed staring angrily at him.
“Mom, calm down.” Asher retorted.
“Don’t you dare tell me to calm down. Everything your wife said, is it true?”
“Mom..!”
“I would really appreciate it if you give me straight answers. Is it true? Yes or no?”
“Mom…” Asher called again.
Asher wasn’t expecting it when his mom’s hand landed on his cheek hardly.
She had $lapped him. She have never done that before. Even during his teenage years where he had done lot of shts, his mom only cautioned him and had never raised her hand up on him. But now, she is doing it for the first time.
Because of what? Because of his wife!
“Mom, you $lapped me?” Asher retorted as his Brain exploded with fury as he touched his hurting cheek.
“And I would do that again if you don’t start talking. Everything, your wife said, is it true?”
Asher said nothing and just stared at her.
“I would take that as a yes. Asher, what have gotten into you? How dare you lay your hand on a woman? Do you know how wrong that is? And not just any women, your wife for that matter? This isn’t the Asher I brought up? What changed? What?!”
“Mom…” Asher said but his mom was boiling with fury. She raised up her hand to slap him again but Asher was quick to stop her by holding her hand.
“Mom! That is enough!, you have no right to try to interfere in my marriage affair. It mine and not yours and I decide on how to run it. She is my wife and I choose to do whatever I want to do to her.” Asher said and his mom’s mouth opened in shock. She rubbed her face to be sure she isn’t dreaming.
“Am leaving, mom!” Asher announced standing up and before his mom could talk, he exit the ward immediately.
