Harry’s pov.
I entered the house back and locked the door behind me at the same time Chloe was walking towards the living room.
Her hair was scattered and rough and she was staggering as she walked.
“I’m so so hungry. I could eat anything I pay my hands on right now” Chloe said and fell on the couch.
“I already ordered. I can’t believe I slept for that long” I said taking my seat too.
“Same. Damn! I’m tired” Chloe uttered touching her stomach.
“By the way, who was at the door?” She asked.
“A neighbor. She came over to say hi” I replied.
“Ooh okay” Chloe said dryly.
Almost immediately, the doorbell rang and I got up to get it. I opened the door to see the delivery man and after Signing, I collected the box and closed the door behind me.
I went back to the living room and Chloe’s eyes brightened when she saw the box.
“Finally!” She breathes out.
I placed it on the table and opened it and started devouring it.
After eating, I went to my room to take my bath. We still need to arrange the stuffs here and get some things and that sounds like a lot of work.
I would have preferred it if Chloe would do all the work but knowing the kind of sis I have, she would drag me to do it with her.
After taking my bath in the small bathroom I am definitely not used to, I came out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around my waist.
I wore a black short and yellow top and sat on the bed. I’m not used to any of this and it’s pretty weird.
The room, the bathroom, the house in general. Not my thing. Now I have to look for a job and start afresh.
Make money from the scratch and I know it won’t be easy at all.
I picked my phone and left the room. Chloe wasn’t in the living room and she probably would be in the room taking her bath and knowing Chloe, she can use an hour dressing up.
I started arranging the things in the living room. When she’s done, she would join me.
When I was done, I smiled satisfactory at what I have done and retired back to my room.
I brought out my clothes that are still in the traveling bag and started arranging it in the small wardrobe that was already in the house.
I finished and arranged the room. Making sure everything is in place.
When I was done, I sighed and taking a last glance at the room, I got on the bed bringing out my laptop.
I couldn’t sell it. It’s really expensive but it’s also important so I decided to keep it and sell other things.
I opened it and went online searching for job opportunities around the town.
I don’t want to be in a situation whereby feeding becomes difficult for Chloe and I do I just gotta find a job even if it’s one I don’t like.
My phone beeped and I checked to see it’s message from an unknown number. I needed no soothsayer to tell me it’s the blond neighbour , Miranda. It was just a hi. I picked it and made to reply.

CHLOE’s pov
Afternoon…
I left my room after arranging my room. I need to go to the grocery shop to shop for foodstuffs.
I checked the living room and smiled when I saw it has already been arranged. Advantages of having a caring husband.
I went to his room and opened it without knocking. Harry was on the bed operating his laptop.
“Yo, I’m off to the grocery shop” I announced.
“But you don’t know the way around here” Harry said looking up from the laptop.
“I will ask people duh!” I rolled my eyes.
“You will be fine?”
“Common, Harry. I’m not a kid. I will be fine alright. Will just ask for one close by. Will be back in an hour or so. Bye” I rushed my words and left immediately closing the door behind me before he could say anything. Harry and always acting protective. Not that it’s a bad thing but Harry can go extreme about it.
I left the house closing the door behind me. A car was about driving out and it stopped right beside me.
I checked the driver and she has a smile plastered on her face.
“Hi. I’m Miranda” she said cheerfully and I arched my brows.
“Oh sorry. I’m your neighbour and I met your brother this morning”
“Oh you were the one” I said remembering Harry telling me about her.
“Yes”
“I’m Chloe by the way” I introduced.
“I must admit you look really pretty.” She smiled.
“Thanks you too” I returned the smile. I like her already.
“So where are you off to?”
“To the grocery shop and uhm, I don’t really know the way around here. If you could direct…”
She interrupted me. “Hop in! I will take you”
“Oh there’s no need for that and you are going out”
“Not important. Common, I will take you” She said.
I nodded and entered. She definitely won’t leave me alone if I continues saying no.
She drove off and started a conversation immediately. “Where are you coming from?” She asked.
“America” I replied.
“Oh cool. Have always want to travel there but haven’t gotten the chance. I love New York in particular”
“Really? That’s where I stay before”
“Wow. Why did you leave?” She asked and I remained quiet not ready to talk about it.
I guess she understood my silence. “Oh I’m sorry for asking”
“It’s okay”
She continued engaging me in chit chats and I enjoyed her company already.
We got to the grocery shops and we shopped today chatting like long time friends.
When we were done, we packed the grocery bags to the car booth and entered the car and Miranda started the car.

Few minutes later, we got to the house and Miranda helped me with the grocery bags to the front door even after asking her not to worry.
“Thanks for today” I told her.
“It’s nothing.” She smiled.
“Your number” I said giving her my phone and she input her digit in and handed it back to me.
“Will text you” I said and she nodded and entered her car back driving out of the compound.
I was about to enter the house when I noticed a lady entering the building.
She was heading to the duplex beside ours.
Wait, isn’t that ….
My eyes widened and I walked over to her.
“Hey, Annie!” I called and she turned back. It was indeed her.
Wait! How is this even possible? Am I dreaming or what because I’m really confused as to why she is in England.
Annie looked depressed, not the cheerful Annie I met. I still believe this is a dream.
“Annie” I called again and she looked at me with a blank expression.
She looked away from me and started walking more faster to the duplex.
“Annie, wait up” I said after her but she didn’t stop and hurriedly opened the door, entered and closed the door leaving me bewildered.
