Chloe’s pov
I stared at the closed door wondering what could be wrong.
First of all, Why’s Annie in London ? And I can’t believe I just forgot about her and camille just like that but it isn’t my fault.
After the day of the concert, I couldn’t reach her and camille again. I tried contacting them all to no avail and it was during that period, Finn abducted me.
There was no way I could have remembered her during that time.
What could have happened? Had the court hearing taken place?
Did Asher win?
Or maybe, just maybe, they both eloped from New York to London.
Then why is Annie running from me? Is she angry with me? Why does she look so sad.
Okay, i think I might just faint with all these questions I am asking myself that does not have an answer.
I looked back at the door and contemplated whether to knock or not. I decided to go for latter. She doesn’t want to see me, obviously.
I would just give her time.
I went back to the front of our house, carried the grocery bags and entered.
Harry wasn’t in the living room. Would probably be in his room. I carried the bags to the kitchen and started arranging it putting everything in place.
30 minutes later, I was done and I made to prepare something.
I settled for rice and salad and got into business.

An hour later….
Harry and I sat in the small dining located at one side of the living room eating.
“So I met the neighbor you talked about” I started.
“Miranda?” He asked and I nodded.
“She was the one that took me to the grocery shop in her car”
“Oh nice”
“She is cool you know. Like I love her vibes and of course her smile” I said.
“She is quite the smiley and chatty type” Harry said and I scrunched my brows.
“Chatty?” I inquired.
“Yeah, she collected my number earlier this morning and we have been chatting” he said and I coughed slightly.
“I know that cough Chloe, what’s on your mind?”
“You know what’s on my mind” I winked.
“Jeez! What, no. After What Scarlett did, no thank you but that doesn’t stop me from Having female friends you know”
“The Harry I know doesn’t keep female friends” I said.
“Well, you are right. It’s just..Let just forget about this” he quickly said.
“Whatever. I met a friend today. She stays in the duplex beside ours..”
“Uhm who?” Harry asked.
“You remember camille? Oh sorry, I forgot you said you don’t” I uttered remembering when I asked him about her while in New York.
“Yeah. I don’t but what happened to her?” He asked and I saw a concern look on his face but it was quickly replaced with an unreadable expression.
“She..it is really complicated and I don’t think it’s right to tell you but I promised to help her. We went out and after then, I couldn’t reach her again and it was during that time, the Finn stuff happened. I saw her friend today and she ran away from me. I don’t know what’s wrong. I’m so confused right now” I said worriedly.
“Woah!” Harry breathes out.
“What you promised camille, you can’t tell me?” He asked.
“Yeah. It’s kind of confidential.”
“Okay.” He said a bit disappointedly. “You can just talk to her friend”
“But she wouldn’t even talk to me”
“You just met her today alright. Maybe she is still shocked to see you the same way you are. Just give her some time and she would come around “ Harry told me and I nodded.

Harry’s pov
Bearing Camille’s name again made my stomach churn. I was dying of curiosity. Why does she need Chloe’s help.
I already lied to Chloe I didn’t remember her and honestly, I felt bad.
I just want to do everything in my power to make sure I forget about her.
If her friend is next door, does that mean camille is here too?
I don’t know why but I felt the urge to see her. The last time I saw her was in L.A and I’m dying to see her again.
“Get a grip of yourself. Harry! What’s happening to you?” My subconscious Warned.
I had gone back to my room while Annie did the dishes. I was back to the my laptop applying for jobs online.
I had seen a company that interested me and I was told to come for an interview in three days time.
From being a ceo to looking for a job is definitely something I didn’t sign up for.

I was on my phone just scrolling through social media when I saw the news.
JUST IN: Sebastian Campbell would be getting married to Evelyn Woods. A lady he claimed to be the mother of his son, Finn Campbell. Mr Campbell said it himself, Finn is his legitimate son while the popular known Harry Campbell is just a son he adopted.

I stopped reading as my eyes widened. Wait, what?
Nevertheless, I continued reading.

Wow, just wow.. I went to my dad’s profile and checked his latest post. It was a video.
In it, he said :”Harry isn’t my son. He was adopted along side with Chloe when my late wife couldn’t conceive. Finn is my legitimate son and I have being looking for him for a long time now with his mother and hopefully, I did and they are the one who have the right to my properties.
…
I stopped the video. I couldn’t take it anymore. I was adopted? Really?
Is this true?
I was angry and hurt at the same time. He’s getting married to Evelyn, Fine!. Finn is taking over the company, that’s okay. But this, I just couldn’t take it
I messaged my dad.
To Dad- I’m not your son right? It’s fine. I have disowned you too. I would be back but this time, as a different person.
Then I blocked him immediately after sending it.
