Harry’s pov.
“The camille I told you about, they both got into an accident and while Annie woke up, camille fell into coma”
An h©rrific look replaced my expression as soon as Chloe said it.
What the fk!
“How is She now? Will she be okay? When will she wake up?” I bombard Chloe with questions.
“Take a chill pill, will you” Chloe said.
“Just tell me how she is”
“You seem to care a lot” Chloe said observing me.
“Why shouldn’t I? You like her which means she must be a really good person so I just want to know how she is” I gulped down nothing.
“Well, the doctor said she would wake up very soon, hopefully. She moved her hands today and that’s just a miracle and an assurance she will surely wake up” Chloe explained.
“Wow. Okay. I hope she gets better” I said.
“She would be”

*LATER THAT SAME NIGHT*
I kept on rolling on the bed worriedly as I couldn’t seem to get the thought of Camille out of my head.
She’s in coma. What if she doesn’t wake up soon. What if?
Why do I even care? Maybe because I just want to. It can’t be something else.
This is driving me crazy. I don’t know why but I just want to see her. See how she is doing. If she is okay..
“She is obviously not okay”! My subconscious screamed at me.
I just need to sleep to get the thoughts of her out of my head. I rolled on the bed all to no avail. I sat up on the bed and sighed frustratedly and raked my hands through my hair.
I can’t sleep and I can’t get the thoughts of camille out of my head.
What the fk am I going to do?!
I picked my phone and decided to watch a boring show. Maybe it is going to get me to sleep and surprisedly, it worked.

***THE NEXT MORNING***
I kept glancing at Chloe who was on her phone in the living room.
“I can see you Harry, what’s it?” Chloe asked, her eyes still glued to her phone.
We just finished having breakfast and retired to the living room.
“Uhm..Who are you talking to?” I asked.
“Why are you asking?” She inquired.
“I just like want to know. Is it Annie?” I blurted out.
Chloe raised her head up from her phone and looked at me suspiciously.
“Wait, why are you asking me about Annie?” She asked.
“Because..just want to know how your friend camille is” I asked and gulped down nothing. I’m crazy, I know.
“Hmm, I haven’t talked to Annie today. I don’t have her number. She lost her phone in the accident” Chloe retorted.
“Oh. See her, maybe?” I suggested.
“Okay, sure. But I am not sure she would be around. She might have gone to the hospital”
“Go check” I probed and she nods and got up from the couch.
She wore her slippers and exit the house. I sighed immediately she left. The way I am acting will sure make Chloe suspect something.
But it is nothing. It’s normal for me to ask about her.
I’m not heartless. Just looking out for a friend. Wait, is camille my friend. I’m not sure.
We only shared a night and well, a kiss. That doesn’t make her my friend or someone special to me.
She is just..someone I know.
Chloe arrived back in the house and I looked her hopefully.
“Annie isn’t around” She announced and I nodded sadly. I was tempted to ask her to allow us go to the hospital together but I held myself.
“In the night, i guess I would see Annie by them. Don’t worry, camille would be fine” Chloe assured.
“Yeah..I know “ I said even though I was dying inside.

It was finally the day of the interview. I woke up really early so as not arrive early.
Chloe saw Annie yesterday and much to my dismay was told camille is still in coma.
I took my bath and wore a black trouser and white top. I dressed casual. I’m just going for an interview. I haven’t gotten the job yet.
The company is one of the biggest company in London and me getting a job there will make me much money.
I’m not sure I would pass it but it’s worth the try. I won’t know until I try.
I finished dressing up and looked at myself in the mirror. I had a pale look on and wasn’t really looking my best. I tried forcing a smile on but it isn’t working.
I gave up and left the room after taking the necessary documents I need.
I met with Chloe in the dining room. She also woke up early to make breakfast for me.
I ate the sandwich in haste. I stood up drinking the tea she made.
“Don’t worry, you would surely get the job”
“Maybe yes, maybe no” I sighed.
“Just be optimistic okay? I believe in you. Good luck” She said raising her thumbs up and I smiled.
I closed the front door behind me and was about leaving the compound when a car stopped beside me and I turned to see Miranda in the car.
“Hey Harry” and there she go again, with her smile.
“Hi” I simply said not ready for any chit chat.
“Good morning. Where are you off to?” She asked me.
“Going somewhere. Bye Miranda” I said and made to leave but her voice stopped me.
“Wait!, I can take you. Hop in” She offered, the smile still plastered on her face.
I don’t know why but it sounds awkward. I’m not used to girls taking me in their car.
Damn! I had a car. But it’s all gone now.
“Oh. Never mind” I told her.
“Common. I will take you. Just come in” she smiled and I nodded negatively.
“I’m not going anywhere far” I lied. “Don’t worry about me okay?” I told her.
She tried pushing but seeing the look on my face, she didn’t.
“Okay, it’s fine. Later then. Will text you” She said and drove out of the compound and I heaved a sigh of relief.
I took the public bus and it was really hard squeezing myself in with the rush and people.
I got to the location 30 minutes later and looked up at the big company in front of me.

I took a deep breath and entered. I was told the interview would be taken place upstairs so I can use the stairs or elevator. I checked the time from my phone. It was 7:45am already and the interview is 8am.
I settled for the elevator in order to get there faster. I entered and pressed the button to close it.
I closed my eyes breathing in and out. The elevator door was about to close when someone came in. I opened my eyes at the same time the elevator door closed.
I then turned to look at the person that just entered only to meet with blonde hair and big doe eyes.
She looked surprised to see me too.
“Miranda?” I said surprisedly.
“Oh hi Harry” she waved, her smile not leaving her face.
