CAMILLE’S POV.

“You are going to say yes?” Hudson asked. It was evening already and we had time to rest.

“To?” I asked.

“That dude’s request. You are going to go on a date with him?”

“I don’t know” I answered truthfully.

“You love him right?” He asked.

“Uhm…..” I hesitated.

“You don’t have to feel shy about it. It’s a normal thing” Hudson assured.

“Well, yes” I replied.

“I know that and I know he loves you too”

“How do you know that?” I asked.

“Because I do. It was so obvious. The way he looked at you and everything. When I went to meet him then, he said he needs to see you. He sounded desperate. I had no choice but to trick you”

“Oh!” I muttered.

“Yepp. Here is it. Guys find it hard to say their true feelings because I know you already believe he doesn’t feel the same way for you”

“Yes” I nodded positively.

“He is also feeling the same way. Like, what if he asks you out and you say no. The pain of rejection hurts more than anything” Hudson explained and I agreed with him.

“But i’m not really sure he likes me. It’s really complicated”

“It’s not. You are the one feeling that way. I won’t tell you what to do but try to go on a date with him and sees what happens” Hudson said but I wasn’t feeling sure about it.

“I should tell him how I feel?” I asked.

“That’s up to you” He answered.

“And if he doesn’t feel the same way?”

“He does. Just trust me” Hudson assured.

“How come you know about all this?” I inquired.

“I was once in love. Duh!”

“Ooh. Did something happen?” I asked.

“Yeah. She had an accident and died. I loved her so much! That was the toughest time of my life” he said as his expression changed.

“I’m so so sorry.” I said.

“It’s fine. I’m over it already.” He said.

“You would give love a chance again?” I inquired.

“Nah. I’m fine this way” he replied.

I just nodded even though I was feeling pity for him.

Annie and I took the bus home as usual. She wasn’t aware Harry came over or anything happened.

She is always stuck in the kitchen as her job requires.

“All I want to do now is take a really long bath and then sleep!” She says.

I said nothing as I was in deep thoughts.

“Camille?” She called.

No answer.

“Camille?” She repeated.

Still no answer.

Then, she tapped me and I flinched.

“Hmm” I answered.

“You zoned out”

“I did?” I asked stupidly.

“Yes dummy. What’s on your mind?” She asked.

“Nothing really”

She gave me a look.

“Okay fine. I would tell you when we get home” I chuckled.

“Better” She rolled her eyes.

HOME…

Annie was in the bathroom having her bath while I was in the room, my phone in my hand expecting a message from Harry even though I was super nervous.

What if he isn’t in his right senses when he said that. Or maybe he is drunk?, I wondered.

Coz Harry would never ask me out on a date. Or maybe I was daydreaming.

“Hey!” Annie saId entering the room.

“Hey!” I said to her back.

“So what’s up?” She asked sitting beside on the bed.

“Well…” I started.

“I didn’t tell Harry yes yesterday” I said.

“I knew you wouldn’t. I know you” She rolled her eyes.

“But things turned around” I added.

“Tell me more” she says her whole concentration on me.

“He came over to the restaurant today and while I was attending to someone, he called me. My phone rang and he was right behind me”

“Busted!”

“I know, right. I left the scene and while I thought he would leave, he still stayed.”

“And?”

“He made use of Hudson’s help and Hudson tricked me to the back of the restaurant and Harry came there too”

“Wow!” Was Annie’s response.

“So he said he wants to talk to me. Blah blah and then he asked me out on a date”

“Are you kidding me!” Annie’s eyes widened.

“I’m serious. So I used that opportunity to ask about Miranda. He said they aren’t dating”

“You have a chance with him then” Annie smiled.

“But I’m worried he doesn’t feel the same way” I voiced out.

“Camille. He asked you out on a date. That should give you a clue he likes you. Just say yes already and go on a fking date with him!”

“Is it a good idea?” I asked.

“of course it is. And if you know you don’t love him no more then you can say no.”

“What.., no, no, I do” I said.

“Then do the rightful” she said.

Back at my room, I was about to sleep when my phone beeped.

I jumped off my bed hurriedly and quickly took my phone which was beside me.

It was a message from Harry. I took a deep breath before opening the message.

From Harry- Hi

It feels so weird now that he knows who I am.

I replied anyways.

To Harry- Hi

His reply came in almost immediately.

From Harry- how are you?

To Harry- I’m fine.

This is so weird. Fking weird!

FROM HARRY- So?

TO HARRY- so?

It’s official. I’m crazy. I might just freak out and block him.

FROM HARRY- I just want to check on you. Have you thought about it?

So it wasn’t a dream. Harry did ask me out for real. Oh goodness, this is crazy.
