Bunmi had to drop out of school for a while like her mother said because of the pregnancy.
One day Bunmi was 6 months pregnant ,
She has been trying to reach Yakubu by calling him through her mom’s phone without her mom knowing but he kept on ignoring her calls. Until the day Bunmi saw him at the market close to their house.
Yakubu, Yakubu she screamed as Yakubu tried to hide from her but he couldn’t since she had seen him.
Why are hiding and avoiding me? ?
Walking close to Yakubu, What did I ever did to you? ?
Why did you treat me this way? ?
You even denied me in front of your mother after telling me you love me and you will stand by me no matter what? ?
Talk to me!! Bumi screamed as Yakubu was silent all through.
Now for some months I haven’t seen you? ?
Am so sorry, I told my mum about your pregnancy the day you told me about it.

My mother asked me to denied you, that since I had gained admission into the university, I had a lot of future ahead of me. ..
What about my Future, because you just ruined mine. ..
It not like that ,it wasn’t my intention and she said I have been betrothed to someone else since childhood.

Yakubu Tried to wipe her tears, she refused.
I had bought a phone for you but since I couldn’t face you I kept it. I will bring it later when your mum is not at home.

Bunmi didn’t know what to reply him, she left his side with Tears on her face.
Bunmi went to her friends place since there was no one at home, her mum had go to work and Tinuke has go to school.

Sarah is Bunmi friend from childhood but she is four years older than Bunmi, she has finished her secondary school and was preparing for her WAEC.

I Saw Yakubu today, Bunmi said in a shaky voice

Bunmi narrated everything to Sarah.
You see what I told you from the beginning that Woman never liked you, that’s the more reason you should have left her son.
She even told my mum that nearly all the men in the area had slept with me.
God knows Yakubu was my first. ..
He pressure me to sleep with him and I did it out of love how would I have known he with turn his back on me because of his mother.
I remembered he was so happy when I told him I was pregnant for him he loved me so much and now his love has gone sour .

Bunmi you are still a young and beautiful girl don’t waste your time on all this men. Focus on you studies and take care of your baby when its born. Forget what Yakubu is saying, he just needs someone to Warm his bed, don’t fall a victim, I won’t listen to you again oh.

Yakubu sent someone to call Bunmi outside and gave her the phone he promised her.
Bunmi was so happy and thanked him.
Sister Bunmi what are you holding? ? Tinuke asked
And you are smiling too
its been a while I have seen you smile.
Am back Mama Bunmi said entering the house.
Go and warm the soup, I am very hungry, she said to Bunmi

Tinuke said tapping her mum

Bunmi trying to signal Tinuke to kept quiet.

Bunmi gave it to her mother reluctantly. ..

Bunmi was silent. .
Can’t you talk. .it look expensive. I know you don’t have money to buy this, talk to me my Daughter, we gave this to you? ?
