Arabella couldn’t give a reply. All she could think about was getting Fiona who had clung onto her out of their midst but it wasn’t easy because they had surrounded them.
“I will give you all the answer you want”On hearing that familiar voice. Arabella and the reporters turned to see John.
John made his way through the crowd and steered both her and Fiona back into the house.
Whatever he told them , she had no idea because she was back into the house and was worried about Fiona.
“Are you okay my love?”Arabella asked but there was no response from Fiona only the tears kept pouring.
“I will take her to her room”Mrs Milly said as she took hold of Fiona.
Arabella would have followed suit if it hadn’t been for John who chose that moment to come into the house.
“Those people are ¢razy! They keep on asking for questions ” he muttered even as he walked towards her.
“Are you okay Ara? What about Fi……”He couldn’t get to finish his word because she sIapped him on the face.
“What was that for?”He asked looking stunned.
“This is all your doing right? You did this just to punish me”Arabella yelled at him.
“What are you talking…..”
“I know that your the only who would benefit from something like this.
How can you be so cruel as to put your daughter out in danger like that?”
“I think your getting it wrong. I didn’t do this. I will never put you and Fiona in danger.
As soon as I heard about what happened. I came here knowing something like this will happen”He told her.
“You did. You showed up like a knight wanting to protect us but I know it’s all an act.
You set this all up just to win my affection and also Fiona’s affection but you only ended up earning the latter. I hate you John.
I hate you and if I can turn back the hands of time, I would have picked someone else to be Fiona father and not a manipulating bstard like you!”Arabella yelled at him.
“You are getting it wrong. I didn’t do it ……”
“Save your excuses for someone else! I don’t want to listen to you nor do I want to see you again. Now get out!”She yelled cutting him off.
“But……..”
“Get out!”She yelled pushing at his chest.
“We will talk when you’ve calmed down”He said before walking out of the room..
GERALD’S COMPANY
“Am sorry for barging in like that but you have got to see this sir” Gerald Secretary said as she walked into the room, showing him her phone.
“Apparently the news station was tipped off with this information this morning and….where are you going sir?”The secretary asked when Gerald got out of his chair heading out of the office.
“Am going to see Arabella. Cancel all of my appointment”Gerald stated.
“But shouldn’t we arrange for a press meeting? This allegation made on you are lies and the company image will be ruined due to it “The secretary told him.
“The allegations aren’t lies. I am dating Arabella and the company is my business. Leave it to me to handle it while you mind your business.
Cancel all of my appointment”He said as he turned to leave only to almost run into Jenna.
“Going somewhere?”Jenna asked smiling up at him.
“Yes. Save whatever you want to say for later”He turned to leave but she held him back.
“You just can’t leave. We have something important to talk about”
“I already told you to save it for later! “he said pulling out of her hold.
