Gregory’s Pov:
I watched Roselyn pace around the room sulking bitterly.
She kept on looking out of the window and dialing Aliyah’s number.
She couldn’t stop worrying and didn’t let me grab a snooze.
“Will you stop pacing around already Rose?” I almost screamed.
“Really Greg? You want me to lie down there right beside you and sleep when my daughter….my flesh and blood is out there somewhere in the streets wet and cold?” She burst into tears.
“Rose you know what she did don’t you?” I said.
“And so what Gregory? Did she do what others haven’t done? Greg you didn’t let my daughter say a word all you did was s1ap her say so many mean words to her” She cried.
“So what do you expect me to do Roselyn? Hug her and cuddle her? Or maybe peck her for tainting my image as a Minister?” I scoffed.
“All you think about is your image? Your reputation? Your job and not your child Greg” She shouted.
“Roselyn I only want that daughter of ours to learn her lessons” I said.
“Oh really? I just hope you are learning your own lessons as well…. I will never forgive you Greg if anything bad happens to my daughter” She replied as she stormed out of the room.
“Roselyn? Roselyn??” I called but she paid deaf ears to me.
I breathed heavily.
That Aliyah is ruining in everything I worked hard for and what her mother wants is for me to condone her ¢raziness.
“No freaking way” I groaned.

Arthur’s Pov:
Taking off my jacket,,,, I fell on the bed heavily.
It’s been such a long day with that pesky Natasha.
How the he.ll do I wipe that girl from my life for good?
My eyes caught with my “dream girl’s” picture pasted on the wall and I smiled.
“Aliyah Dela Cruz” my lips curved to a smile.
Then I picked up my cell phone.
I pressed the middle button of the iPhone but then it wasn’t coming on.
Wait…. My cell phone has been switched off this whole time?
But I didn’t switch it off so who did?
I quickly turned on the phone still wondering how the phone could possibly switch off.
Of course my phone’s battery can never be dead.
As soon as I turned it on,,,, I went straight to the call log.
And then I spotted an unknown caller whose call was rejected.
But I didn’t reject any call from this number.
Tracing back the time,,, it was at the time that Natasha and I were at the coffee shop.
“So it was Natasha who rejected my call and switched my phone off? That s¢um!” I muttered under my breath.
But whose number could this be?
Maybe I should call and see.
I quickly dialed the number and it started ringing.

Aliyah’s Pov:
My mind was already made up with ab®rting the child.
I have to flush this f©etus out of my w®mb else my father won’t hesitate to throw me out in the streets.
I was about to take the pills when my cell phone rang aloud.
I was going to ignore the call but then I decided to pick it up.
I wiped my eyes with my fist and sniffed hard.
“Hello…..” I managed to speak up.
“Yeah… Hello….. Uhmm this number called me but it was rejected and errr it was rejected unintentionally so please if I may ask who is this?” The voice sounded so familiar.
I quickly looked at the phone screen again.
It was actually the number of Arthur that Pearl and I tried contacting.
“Oh my…. Is this Arthur…. Arthur Rodriguez” I sniffed hard.
“Oh yes…. This Arthur Rodriguez speaking” He replied as I burst into tears.
“Hey…. Lady please don’t cry…. I don’t understand you so please just speak up… How may I help you?” He asked politely..
“Arthur it’s me…. Aliyah… Aliyah Dela Cruz” I cried out.
“What? Ali…. Aliyah?” He snapped.
“Yes… Aliyah Dela Cruz! I hope you can still remember who I am” She cried.
“Of course…. I never forgot you and you never left my mind” He said as I smiled.
“Am glad you still remember who I am but then Arthur there is a big problem here” I wailed.
“Problem? Just stop crying already Aliyah…. I don’t feel happy knowing that you’re crying and that you are sad” He said.
I gulped hard.
“Arthur I don’t know what to do anymore” I cried
“What the hell are you talking about Aliyah?” He asked anxiously.
“This is going to be difficult Arthur but I just can’t handle it alone that was the reason why I had to search you up on social media so that I can get your phone number and speak to you” I cried out.
“You are getting me really worried” He said.
“Arthur I….I….I am pregnant and you…you are responsible for the pregnancy” I bursted into tears the more.
“What?” He gasped.
“Yes Arthur and as we speak am in the streets cos I can’t go back home else my father is going to rip me apart for sure” I said.
“In the streets? It’s past ten and the street is unsafe for you…. And it’s raining so it’s not healthy for your condition” He replied to my surprise.
Wait…. Does this mean that he is concerned about me?
“I can’t go home Arthur… I really can’t” I wailed.
“Okay just calm down and tell me this… Where are you now?” He asked with concern.
I looked around the dark street as I shivered in cold.

Arthur’s Pov:
As soon as she told me where she was,,, I quickly hung up.
Really???
Arthur Rodriguez is gonna become a father??
With the best baby mama in the world…. Aliyah Dela Cruz.
I won’t make her my baby mama but my wife as well.
Smiles escape my lips.
I quickly put on my shirt and joggers as I quickly made for my car keys and rushed downstairs.
I can’t let my mom see me cos I don’t really want to answer so many questions.
When I know Aliyah is out there somewhere in the cold.
I rushed out and luckily I didn’t meet my parents.
I got to the garage and hopped into my car as I speeded out of the compound.

I drove as fast as I could to get to Aliyah.
I got to the place she directed me to and got down from the car.
I sighted her sitting on the bare ground with her wet clothes and hair.
She looked like a mess.
I quickly rushed to her and found out that she was shivering with cold.
“Aliyah??” I hugged her tightly.
“Arthur” She managed to say before passing out in my arms.
I quickly carried her into my car and drove off……..
