I was called out on the stage as the celebrant and to my surprise the venue was filled with guests.
I was so so happy.
“Happy birthday Arya!” I heard voices and turned around.
To my surprise it was Kim and her friends.
“You??” I asked in surprise.
“Yes.. we! Why do you look so surprised Arya? Didn’t you invite us to this birthday party?” Anita asked as I smiled a little.
“Of course I did so enjoy the party” I said as they dropped their presents and walked away.
“So weird!” I rolled my eyes as my girlfriend rushed to me.
“What’s going on Arya? Where were the wtches here?” She asked.
“They brought presents” I answered as she shrugged.
“Hey stay away from my friend” Sofia fired back at them as Kim walked to her.
But then Kim tripped and fell on Sofia who pushed her roughly..
“Clumsy thing” Sofia screamed as Kim got up and walked away with her friends.
“Are you okay Sofia?” I asked as she nodded.
“Happy birthday Arya!” A tender voice said as I turned around.
It was Martin!
My heart skipped a beat as I bit my lips.
“Martin?” I managed to call out as he winked at me and I gasped.

Kimberly’s Pov;
“So what’s the point here Kim? Why did we even have to buy gift for that girl?” Olivia groaned.
“Yes Kimberly! Why do we have to do that? We should be bought snake for her instead” Anita rolled her eyes.
“Why don’t you guys trust me huh? You think I will put up such a charade for nothing?” I scoffed.
“So what’s your plan? Don’t keep us in the dark” Anita asked anxiously as I brought forth my tightened fist.
“What’s that?” Olivia asked.
I gently opened my palms.
“Cell phone?” They chorused.
“Yes cell phone” I answered.
“What are we supposed to do with this?” They asked.
“Is not just cell phone.. it is Arya’s friend’s cell phone” I said as they arched their eyebrows.
“Why did you take her cell phone and how did you even take it?” Anita asked.
“We were wishing her a happy birthday and I was aiming her cell phone so I got it… Why did you think I tripped? Or do you consider me clumsy?” I said as they smiled.

Martin’s Pov:
My jaw dropped the moment I saw her and to be honest she was looking extremely beautiful.
“You look beautiful tonight Arya” I couldn’t help but confess that to her.
Idris and Sofia giggled as they exchanged glances.
Arya smiled happily.
“Thank you so much Martin” She said as I handed a rose flower to her.
“Thank you again” she said as I hugged her.
“This party is really going to be fun with the way I see things around here” Idris broke the silence.
“You don’t know that Arya’s mommy specially planned this event for her” Sofia snapped.
“Thank you so much guys for making it to my party” She said as we took pictures.

Arya’s Pov:
I was busy receiving gifts while Mom and Aunt Dora were busy too.
Why didn’t Uncle Leo show up for my birthday?
I kept worrying!
Back then when mommy used to celebrate my birthday among the family he never misses my birthday so what’s happening?
I was still talking to myself when suddenly my cell phone beeped.
I picked the phone up.. it was a message from my friend Sofia.
Why is she texting me?
“Arya please come to the pool side I want to tell you something important” I read aloud.
This must be so important that she had to text me.
I got up and walked out of the venue and then headed to the pool side.
“Where is she? Sofia? Sofia?? Sofia???” I called but no one was answering and I don’t think anyone was there.
“Hi Arya?” I was about to turn around when the person pushed me into the pool…..

Sofia’s Pov:
“Where did I drop my cell phone for goodness sake? I would have loved to call her to know where she went to?” I kept on talking to myself.
I can’t find my cell phone so surprising!
I was with it few minutes ago so where the he.ll did I drop it?
When did I become so careless that I have to lose my phone in an occasion like this!
Good heavens; I have so much important documents in that cell phone and I hope it doesn’t go missing cos I wouldn’t know what will happen if truly I misplaced it and someone takes it.
I rushed to the table of Martin and Idris who were having a drink.
“What’s the matter Sofia? You look tensed?” Idris asked immediately he saw me.
I gulped hard before speaking to them.
“Have anyone seen my friend?” I asked them as they exchanged glances at each other.
“You mean Arya?” Martin asked with furrowed eyebrows as I nodded my head.
“Yes it’s Arya! I haven’t seen her and am looking for her everywhere” I said.
“She was at the platform some minutes ago right?” Idris asked.
“Yes and I can’t even find my cell phone as well” I sobbed.
“Goodness me! Where did she go to?”Martin scoffed as he quickly rushed off.
“Hey Martin! Where are you going to?” Idris asked him.
“Am going to look for her” He said not even turning his back.
“I’ll go look for her while you look for your cell phone ok?” Idris said as he ran after Martin.
“Why the he.ll is everything missing?” I shrugged.
I hope they finds my girlfriend who is the celebrant on time.
I would have loved to call her but then my cell phone is missing too.
Very frustrating!
I continued searching for my missing cell phone anyways.
