Episode 88
Arya’s Pov:
With my face buried in the pillow I sulked uncontrollably.
Why can’t Mom let me be happy?
Why does she want me to leave the school and my best friend Sofia?
I won’t let that happen.. even if she’s leaving then I won’t go with her.
I rather not go to school than let Mom remove me from the school I love so much.
Doesn’t she like it when am happy or what?
Why must she keep on making me so annoyed?
Today was supposed to be a celebration that am finally home after such a long time and now she ruined the night with what she just said.
I won’t leave the school even if that means I won’t attend any other school.
I was still sulking when my cell phone rang aloud.
I picked up my phone from the stool.. it was an unknown number.
“Who could this be?” I thought as I wiped my tears.
Maybe it’s Sofia she has different numbers and I wonder what she does with many lines.
I accepted the call and placed the cell phone on my ear.
“Hello..” The male voice echoed out of my cell phone’s speaker.
“Hello..” I managed to say.
“Uhmm… Arya I just wanted to know if you have been discharged?” The voice asked as I gulped hard.
“Oh yes but who am I speaking with please I don’t think I know this person” I replied sharply.
“You don’t have to worry yourself about who I am.. I just wanted to know if you are safe now or not” He said.
“I know you are just concerned but I also want to know who is asking after me” I snapped.
“Never mind! Welcome back to home anyways.. thank God you are ok again” He said as he hung up.
I arched my eyebrows in confusion.
I don’t think I have heard that voice before but it seems he knows me do well.
I quickly went straight to my true caller app but I still couldn’t find out who it was.
“Who is he? This isn’t Martin am sure cos that isn’t his voice” I mumbled to myself.
I was still thinking when I heard a knock on my door.
That was when I recalled that my mom annoyed me.
I frowned my face immediately and kept mute without saying a word.
“Baby Arya please open the door” I heard my mom’s voice on the door.
“Please just leave me be mommy” I screamed back at her.
“Listen baby am really sorry for what happened and I promise you that you won’t leave the school that’s a big promise” She said as smiles escaped my lips.
“Did you say you won’t take me out of the school again?” I asked anxiously.
“Yes baby! I promise you I won’t ever remove you from the school anymore” Mom replied.
I got up from the bed and unbolted the door as I quickly rushed back to the bed backing her.
Mom walked in sluggishly but I still didn’t bother to turn around.
“Arya my darling.. you know whatever I do is for your own good” Mom started as she sat heavily on my bed.
I didn’t say a word to her so I kept mute.
“I won’t ever say or do anything that will hurt you.. you do know that I want the best of everything for you Arya” She continued.
I opened my mouth to say something but I quickly closed my mouth immediately.
“Uhm.. baby have you checked the calendar recently?” She asked anxiously.
I rolled my eyes in confusion.
“Did she just say calendar? Why should I check the calendar?” I thought inwardly but I still kept shut.
“You will be turning sixteen next weekend” mom said as I couldn’t hold myself back anymore I smiled broadly though I wasn’t sure she saw me smile.
“So I have decided that am going to be throwing you a big party this year” Mom said as I gasped.
I quickly turned around to her immediately.
“You will be throwing me a party Mom?” I asked in so much excitement.
“Yes baby! You will be having a very big birthday party” She replied as I jumped for joy.
“With a huge round cake like other kids do their birthday?” I asked to make sure I wasn’t mistaking.
“Exactly baby! You will be having a grand ultimate birthday party” Mommy as as I screamed in delight.
“Thank you so much mommy! You are and will remain the best forever” I couldn’t hold my happiness back anymore.
She hugged me tightly and ksses my cheeks.
“All I want right now is to always see you happy and prosperous that’s all I will ever wish for” Mom said as I smiled broadly.

Martin’s Pov:
I was putting everything in order for school’s resumption on Monday.
I have never been this excited on going to school except today.
Alma my younger sister walked into my room and I didn’t even notice her presence cos I was so busy with the arrangement I was doing.
“What’s going on Martin?” She asked but I still didn’t even notice she was there.
She cleared her throat noisily and that startled me as I quickly turned to see her standing in akimbo and staring at me in surprise.
“What’s.. what’s with that look? You startled me.. don’t you.. don’t you know” I managed to speak up.
“I should ask you why you seem so deaf cos I’ve been standing here for the past ten minutes if am not mistaking” She said.
“Oh.. you’ve been standing here? I didn’t even notice” I said as I turned my face away.
“How would you notice when you were so absentminded smiling like you won a lottery ticket” She laughed.
“You know am so busy right now and I won’t want any form of disturbance” I wanted to discharge her.
“Of course I know you won’t want that that’s why am telling you that you seem to be going crazy these days” She said as I gulped hard.
“What are you talking about Alma? When are you ever serious” I pretended like I didn’t understand her.
“Who is she?” She asked as I gulped hard…..
