Anita’s Pov;

Olivia and I exchanged glances as we turned out gaze to our friend who was smiling broadly.

“What do you mean by it’s a good thing?” We chorused.

“Do you guys think am dumb or something?” She scoffed.

“We are telling you that Arya of a girl is taking your man away from you and all you say is it’s a good thing?” Olivia shook her head in disbelief.

“Do you think am stupid girls?” She laughed to our amazement.

“What do you mean cos I don’t get you to be honest with you” I said.

“Her birthday is going to be the worst day of her life because we are attending that so called birthday of hers” She said as i scratched my head in confusion.

“Wait a second! We are really honouring her invitations?” Olivia asked.

“Yes we are! We are going for that birthday and that is going to be the worst nightmare she is going to have cos she won’t make it out alive” Kim smirked mischieviously as smiles escaped my lips.

“And now am getting where exactly our girlfriend is going” i laughed.

“So right now she will be rejoicing but then since she had the guts to invite us to her birthday party then she will continue to regret it until the end of her miserable life’. Olivia chuckled.

“That’s exactly what I want you girls to understand.. she might be the star of the show right now but that won’t be for too long cos her ultimate party is really going to be ultimate for sure” Kim ate her potato chips.

“You are so smart Kimberly! And you are really so wicked but trust me girl I like your wickedness” Olivia winked at her as we shared a laugh.

“She thinks of herself to be smart but then she doesn’t know that am smarter than she is..she can’t possibly steak my man from me and still invite me for her stupid birthday party” Kim shook her head as she gritted her teeth.

“You need to see how your knight in shining armor was siding with her like they are already together” I said.

“She can enjoy while it last cos she is surely going to regret crossing paths with me” Kim said as we smiled.

“Am so proud of you right now Kim now you are talking like the Kim we have always known and the Kim that was my childhood friend” Olivia said as we high five.

Just then, the door creaked open and a student walked in with a project in her hand.

“Psssttt.. hey you!” Kim called her as she dropped the project and walked fearfully to Kim.

“What do you want from me Miss Kim?” She asked with a shaky voice as Kim walked closer to her while she walked backwards and pressed her back against the wall.

Kim landed a dirty slap on her cheeks as she burst into tears.

“Have you lost your mind? How dare you walk in here knowing fully well that am in here with my girls?” Kim stared at her with so much hatred.

“Please forgive me Kim! Actually one of the staff asked me to drop this project here and I didn’t realize you guys were here” She begged in tears.

“What? Are you trying to say that we are too small to be seen by someone like you?” Olivia gasped.

“Oh no! That’s not what am trying to say…what is meant is that I didn’t know you guys were here” She explained in tears.

“I see you have lost your manners right? You don’t know who is in the top again right? So you misbehave however you like” I sneered at her.

“Please forgive me! I promise I won’t let this repeat itself again’ She said.

“Of course it won’t repeat itself cos if it does then I will make sure I kill you and bury you at the playground where the students can step and run on your grave silly” Kim said as fear gripped the student the more.

“Please I would like to take my leave” She rushed out immediately as Kim turned to us with a mischievous smile.

“I told you that the Queen will always be the Queen no matter what happens right? I am still the most feared in school and she can never take that away from me no matter how hard she tries to” Kim said as we smiled at her.

“All you have to do is the needful and she will be out of the way” Olivia said as we nodded in agreement.

I walked into the house immediately I unlocked the door as I slumped on the couch tiredly.

Tears circulated in my eyes and gradually follow down my cheeks.

Why are things getting complicated by the day?

Why is it too hard to stay away from that word called “LOVE”.

What will I do now? How do I do this without him getting hurt because he have been of so much help to my daughter and I?

“I love you” Leo said as I shook my head.

“No Leo you can’t.. you can’t tell me that” I said as the card I was going to give him for Arya’s birthday fell from my hand.

“Am being honest with you! I didn’t want to tell you this but I can’t hold it back anymore.. I really can’t hold myself any further” He said as I kept shaking my head in disagreement.

“You know am not.. am not ready for this Leo.. you of all people should know I can’t do this as it stands” I turned my face away as tears rolled down my cheeks.
