EMILY POV
I woke up due to a light sound at the door and that could only be Cade.
I closed my eyes and pretended to be asleep, after what I heard out side a while ago, he had taken his time to return.
I was hoping that he would not return to the room but it turns out that he did, I thought as I layed on the bed Pretending to be asleep.
I heard him walking around the house and I hope that he would leave the room just as he has always done but I didn’t hear the sound of the door.
Why isn’t he leaving,I thought as I continued to pretend.
Just then i felt him pull the covers over and then he slept on the bed.
Is he going to sleep on the same bed as I? I thought feeling angry, I would have get up but it will be of no use, he must think that am asleep,so I better keep on with the pretence.
“Emily”he called and I kept on pretending, he was quiet for a while and then he called my name again
“Am sorry, sorry for being a jerk, sorry for pushing you away when I also love you but I could not accept your love knowing the Kind of jerk that I am”He said softly.
It was hard for me to keep up with the pretence because I had a lot of things to say to his face, I had to make him know how much he has hurt me by choosing to take the coward way.
“But how could I love you and be happy when I can’t be happy myself, every thing that happened in the past keeps on haunting me every day, I felt that I couldn’t make you happy because I can’t be happy too” he kept on saying.
“But after seeing you bloody and almost lifeless, I thought that would I ever get the chance to tell you how much I love you, would I ever get to know what it’s like to be loved by you, would I ever be happy if you leave, I won’t Emily, I won’t be happy, my life will be completely useless with out you in it”He said
I found that tears were coming from my eyes, one part of me is happy hearing him admit his feeling but the other is angry because he made a fool of me and that hurts ,it hurts so much.
Just then I felt him behind me, he had put his arms around me and he is very close to me.
“I love you, I love you so much,I wish you were hearing this but you are asleep”He said bringing more tears to my face.
I layed in his arms still pretending to be asleep but I heard it all, I head every thing he said and a part of me wanted to that I love him too but I held back.
I shouldn’t accept his apology and confession not after what he put me through him self.
So instead of pulling him in my arms and making up with him,I continue to pretend.

I woke up only to see that it was morning, when did I sleep, I thought as I sat up only to find Cade gone.
Where did he go? I thought as I got out of bed and went to the balcony.
I stretched and enjoyed the morning sun and breeze and gently my mind drifted off to what happened last night.
Should I have just kiss and make up with him, that will make it more complicated because am more hurt by his lies and how he tried to push me away.
As it is am in love with him, if I forgive him and become his wife for real when there is a problem, he will push me away like he did now and I won’t be able to bear it, so for my sake and for his sake, he will be better off with out me.
The door opened and he walked in with my breakfast in his hands
“Good morning”he greeted as he put the food on the table
“I brought you your break fast”he added when I didn’t Reply to his greeting
“You shouldn’t have bothered, Tracy could have done it”I said giving him a cold look
“But I wanted to do it,remember you were the one who always brought me breakfast in the mor………”
“But you never bothered to eat them, tell me why I should eat yours now?”I asked
“Because it’s my way of apologising to you”he said
“Your way of apologising is too lame, eat the food cause I won’t be eating it”I said as I tried to move past him but he pulled me to him and back hugged me.
“Am sorry! What should I do to get you to forgive me”he asked
I wanted to stay in his arms,to lean on him and tell him how much I love him but I didn’t.
“By leaving me alone”I said stonily
“I won’t be doing that”he said still holding me
“As soon as I finish this project, I will leave a……..”I couldn’t finish my sentence because he turned me around and kss me.
I tried to push him away but he held me tight and some how I stopped fighting him and gave into it.
It would have led to some thing else If some one knocking at the door hadn’t interrupt us.
“Who is there?”he yelled at who ever was at the door
“It’s me sir you told me to let you know when the guest arrive,well they are here”Tracy said
“Oh! We will be with them soon”He said and while as soon as Tracy Left, he tried to kiss me again but I pushed him away .
“Just because I respond to your ksses doesn’t mean I want to have any thing to do with you”I said
“I thought we were getting some where “he asked
“I doubt that,I certainly don’t want a man who is afraid to love, I don’t want a man who let’s the past gets in the way of his happiness, I don’t want a man who uses some one just to hurt the one he loves, I don’t want you Cade, not any more”I said as the tears slipped from my face
He walked toward me and cleaned away my tears and I could not move away from him.
“I will try to be the man you want Emily”he said
“Just stop with your false hope and go and meet your guest” I said
“Well they are more of your guest than mine”He said giving me a smile
“My guest, who?”I asked
“You will see, common let’s go”He said
“But am still in my night gown”I said
“It doesn’t matter, let’s go “he said as he pulled me out of the room
I was still wondering who the guest could be when we got down stairs.
“Emily!!!” Gracie yelled as she ran towards me to hug me
I pulled her into my arms and hugged her tight
“My God Gracie,I can’t believe you are here”I said giving her a hug again
“What is this? Won’t I be receiving a hug too?”Micheal said some where in the room.
And as I soon as I left Gracie arms,I ran into his arms
“Have missed you “Micheal said
“And I miss you too”I replied still hugging him, It took a while before we let go of each other.
“Why are you guys here? How come you are even here?”I asked
“A little birdie told us that you needed help with the advertisement of a resort recently built here and so we came to help”Gracie said
“Really? But what about your job?”I asked
“We quit, it wasn’t paying much and every thing is different with out you and so when we got this offer we came straight away “Micheal added
“Oooooh!!! am so happy but who is the little birdie that told you this place?”I asked
“Who else?”Gracie said as she stared at Cade.
“Your husband asked us to come”Micheal said
I turned to look at Cade who was giving me a smile, he knew how much it meant to have them here with me.
With out thinking of the fight that ensued between the both of us, I ran to him and hug him tight.
“Thank you Cade, thank you so much”I said and I felt him holding me back.
