IT’S OKAY TO CRY
Episode 17.
Regina was rushed to the hospital and the incidence was reported to the cops who gathered in Regina residence.
No one seemed to see anything or could tell how that happened to Regina.
Anastasia arrived and saw the crowd and wondered why,
“Excuse me, what’s going on here? She asked someone.
“Do you know the said Mrs Regina? A cop asked.
“Yes she’s my best friend and we planned to see today, what’s going on? Anastasia asked.
“Actually she’s in the hospital now. Her legs are broken and her body burnt, its surprising all of that happened and no one could see or tell anything when it happened in broad day light, the cop narrated.
“Wait wait wait, she called me not too long ago telling me to hurry up because she wanted going back to her station today, how did this happen? I mean which hospital is that I need to go there right now! Anastasia shouted……………..
Anastasia arrived in the hospital and met Regina boyfriend sitting outside,
“Hey where’s my friend? Anastasia asked and he quickly remembered he has seen that face.
“She’s in, the doctors are still attending to her, he replied getting on his feet.
“How did this happen? She asked.
“I don’t know, I passed by her place earlier and noticed she was at home, I went in telling her I’ll be back because I was rushing to somewhere. When i returned I saw her in this state, he replied.
“You didn’t see anybody or something that can help the cop catch the culprit? She asked.
“I swear I did not, he replied.
“Shit! Do you have her phone? I need to inform her family members about this or have you done that already? She asked and he shook his head giving her the phone.
“Alright thanks, She said getting it from him and quickly wiped off the messages and the call recording Regina saved in her phone to use against her.
Immediately the doctor came out and they went to him,
“How is she? They asked.
“Is her family here already? The doctor asked.
“They don’t base here, but they will be informed about this. Am her best friend and I have the right to know, how is she? Anastasia asked.
“We were actually trying to see how we can help her legs, but am very sorry she won’t be able to use it. Is that serious, the doctor replied and Anastasia squatted holding her head.
“What about an operation? Her boyfriend asked.
“What do you think we were doing in there? The doctor asked back.
“Okay the burns, I heard she was burnt, Is it a fire burn or something? Anastasia asked.
“Oh about that, whoever did that added a chemical in the water that was poured on her, her body is badly peeled off but we’ll do something about it so it won’t affect her too much or get into her body, that will be more dangerous. Please when her family arrives, you let me know, excuse me, The doctor said and walked away and Anastasia quickly began to dial some numbers on Regina phone………………
Anastasia called Mpho on phone telling him what happened and he met her in the hospital.
Regina husband was called but he refused coming down, Mpho had to talk to him and he promised to come down.
At night they couldn’t stay anymore as Regina was not still awake,
“When is she going to wake up? Anastasia asked a nurse.
“She had a shock in the process, by tomorrow unfailingly she should come around, the nurse replied.
“Please do take care of her then, we have to be on our way now, Mpho said getting up.
“Sure, alright bye, The nurse said and they left together.
They arrived home and the kids were already asleep,
“How is she now? Dite asked after greeting them.
“Not awake yet, but by tomorrow she should come around, Anastasia replied and began to cry.
“Oh no stop this, Dite said holding her.
“She wanted seeing me today, now look at what happened. you need to see her face, its so h0rrible, Anastasia said.
“What has the cop done about this? Dite asked.
“What can they do when no one saw anything to give them a clue of how they will go about it. For now they can only hear from Regina when she wakes to tell them all that happened, Mpho replied.
“This is nothing but a set up, someone sent them to her I can feel it. Oh look at that nice lady I saw few days ago, what a life, Dite sadly said.
“Such is life my dear, the kids are asleep right? Anastasia asked.
“Yes, you starved Hope again today, Dite replied.
“Sorry about that, I didn’t know this will happen. I was having in mind to see Regina for a short while and get back home, its not my fault you know, Anastasia said and sniffed.
“I understand don’t mind me, Dite said and she nodded and slowly left to see them while Mpho looked at them.
“Is this real life? he asked his sister.
“Why? Dite asked.
“The way you two are rolling together now is surprising, Mpho replied.
“Rolling how? I’ll go bring your food for You now, your wife actually prepared it, Dite said.
“Anastasia did? Mpho asked and she nodded going to bring to bring the food.
“She had a day off today, she said serving him and he sighed.
“Whatever, he said opening the plates.
“Always be appreciative brother, Chai what a husband, Dite said Mpho laughed.
“Please don’t stress me am so tired, he replied…
Anastasia arrived in her children room and called up the guys but they didn’t picked up.
She heaved and dried her face surprised she didn’t felt a single pity for her friend,
“Sorry baby, sometimes its good to mind your business and stop interfering in people affair. You should have taken things easy but you wanted bringing me down, sorry i can’t go down, at least not now my daughter has not start enjoying wealth first, Anastasia slowly said and took Hope away from the room………………..
Regina boyfriend met up with his girlfriend that night telling her everything,
“And? His girlfriend asked when he was done.
“And what? He asked back.
“OK you got help for her and the cops were contacted, why didn’t you take something from her to better your life knowing any affair you’ve been having with her is automatically over. You know she won’t need you anymore because her legs is gone, Her girlfriend said.
“Why should i think of such a thing when I saw her in such a state? That’s ev!l you know, He replied.
“So it wasn’t ev!l when you were sleeping with a married woman and cheating on me huh? She asked.
“Ahh cheating on you? but you agreed because of the money i was paid, why sound this way now? He asked.
“Look there is money, jewelries and valuable things in that house. She’s a nurse in a big hospital, her husband is a business man based in Dubai and her two kids are schooling abroad. She gat the cash and i want you to go back there and get something for us, don’t be stupid, His girlfriend said.
“Won’t i be caught? He asked.
“By who? Common be fast after all you’re not a stranger there. We can elope from here, use your brain, His girlfriend said r0mancing his che$t while he sat thinking about it……………
In the midnight the Anastasia phone began to ring and she quickly checked it out and saw it was the guys calling, She silenced the phone looking at Mpho face to be sure he is deeply asleep. She slowly left the room to the kitchen and called them back,
“Hey, am a married woman okay, she whispered immediately they picked the call.
“Really? But i enjoyed the way you looked at my chest when you saw me, you don’t mind we talk about this now or meet up? Because I feel you want to say something to me, Her crush voice came on phone and she melted.
“Ermmm I called earlier to tell you about Regina because i don’t know what you’re talking about, She replied.
“There’s nothing to talk again about Regina, that case is done and closed. If you need me, meet me up at the address I’ll send to you 12pm tomorrow, goodnight, he said and dropped the call and Anastasia felt like melting on the wall…………….
