IT’S OKAY TO CRY
Season 2. Episode 13.
Hope stayed with Dite for a few days which Hope gladly took care of her kids just the same way Dite did to her.
The next day Dite planned to take her back to Venda, already she called up Mpho and calmed him down when he wanted reacting.
On the eve of Hope leaving, Dite saw Hope sitting alone outside the cool evening. She went nearer and sat down with her,
“Hey, what are you thinking? Dite asked smiling at her.
“I don’t feel like leaving aunt, but then you are right. I need to patch things up with my family, Hope replied.
“Am glad you realize that, don’t worry everything will be fine, Dite said touching her hair.
“Thank you aunty, God will surely bless me so I can repay all you’ve done for me. But then I don’t understand how God led me to you after so many years, Hope said and Dite smiled.
“Maybe he’s trying to tell you to go back to your family. Monica did her part, now you have to do yours, Dite replied.
“My mom part was not complete, I didn’t repay her for all her kindness, that’s not fair at all, Hope replied.
“Honey there are some things that are beyond man understanding, and ermm… Not everyone lives to eat or get paid of its good deeds in life. We don’t do good because we want to get repaid later in life, but we do good to leave an impact even when we are no more. We die fulfilled and ermmm… Leave an everlasting memory in the mind of those we have left behind. Monica clearly showed you the road of kindness and doing good without asking or wishing for a pay, you should do same sweetheart, I see that good heart in you, Dite replied and Hope nodded cleaning her tears.
“Still aunt, she deserves to live and see me bring all my dreams to reality. I wish I had her as my biological mother, aunty I miss her so much, Hope said and Dite hugged her.
“Its alright dear, wherever she is now, she always want to see you happy and you can bring those beautiful dreams of yours to reality, trust me when I say Monica will always be part of it, Dite said and Hope sniffed.
“Thank you aunty, Hope said.
“Its nothing, come in and take your rest, we have a long ride tomorrow, Dite replied holding her up from where she sat……………
“So mom Hope will be coming tomorrow, what is going to happen now? Grace asked.
“What do you think is going to happen? You think I will welcome her with my arms open huh? Anastasia asked.
“Mom at least she’s back and we should welcome her home after so many years, Precious said.
“Oh God! Precious one more word from you I’ll slap your face hard! Anastasia shouted on her.
“Well i can’t wait to see how she will look like now. But sure she can’t be more prettier than us, Faith said.
“Prettier than us? That’s funny when we don’t know where she went to or the kind of life she lived before aunty stumbled on her, Favour replied.
“Hello, she stays in the capital, Precious replied.
“And so? Like she’s staying in America, Grace came in.
“Probably she just got tired with her street life and she bumped into Dite. Gosh, she will get it hot from Me, Anastasia said.
‘Mom we haven’t heard from her yet and you’re concluding on her, Precious said.
“Get out of my sight right now before I’ll do something I’ll regret, Anastasia said.
“sorry mom am grown up now, you cant push me into your ideologies together with them. I’m educated remember, Precious replied getting up and left while Anastasia looked at her mouth opened.
“Did you just hear your sister? She asked Grace.
“Yea mom I did, but what did you expect from a 21year old girl? Just let her be, Grace replied.
“Who cares if she’s 21? You better tell your sister not to disrespect me else she won’t like it, Anastasia said.
“Mom calm down, you should be used to her by now, Grace replied touching her…………..
The next day Dite Left with with her kids together with Hope back to Venda.
They arrived safely and Hope felt like melting in the seat as she saw herself right before her father house after so many years.
The door opened and four girls came out of the building, Hope eyes bulged out when they carried up Dite kids who ran out of the car immediately Dite packed.
“Are those my sisters? Hope asked Dite.
“Yes, common open the door, Dite replied going out and Hope slowly opened up and stepped out.
They all looked at her and looked at Dite,
“Is this Hope? Grace asked and Dite nodded smiling at them.
“Oh my God she’s such a beauty, Precious said and hugged Hope first while the rest rolled their eyes saying nothing to her but took Dite inside.
“You’re welcome, come in, Precious said leading her in as Hope felt like a total stranger.
Anastasia gasped when Hope got in with Precious, she saw the carbon copy of Julia.
“Who am I seeing? Yvonne asked mouth opened as Hope stood by the door scared to come in.
“Hope common come in stop doing that, am sure you remember all of them right? Dite asked and Hope saw everyone complete including her brothers who were all grown up.
She slowly went to Mpho who was looking at her with no expression on his face and knelt before him,
“Am sorry dad, I know I messed up but please am begging you to see it as a stupid girl then who didn’t know anything. Please accept me back, am sorry, Hope said.
“After so many years you are still calling me dad? Mpho heaved and asked.
“Even after so many years, my name still remains Hope Mpho, it didn’t change dad, Hope replied and Mpho nodded.
“Glad to see you so grown up and beautiful, i guess I was blessed with beautiful daughters but I didn’t notice. Get up, Mpho said holding her up and gave her a warm hug.
“Thank you dad, she whispered and slowly went to Anastasia whose face was like that of stone.
“Hello mommy…… “Hope are you back? Good and fine you’re welcome, so safe me the drama i gat my business to attend to now, Anastasia cut her short.
“For Christ sake woman, no matter what has happened, no woman who hasn’t seen her daughter for so many years will still be hardened till now. She’s your daughter! Yvonne shouted.
“Now you shut up and stop lecturing Me! Did i tell you she’s not my daughter? Learn to mind your business after all you made her run away, Anastasia fired back.
“Wait, is this really happening? Can you safe Hope this stress now, consider it as a welcome package for her, Mpho came in.
“She should be used to this, or go back to wherever she came back from. So am i done here? Anastasia asked and Dite heaved.
“Okay fine, Hope is back, back to a separated and divided family. Who is she staying with? Dite asked.
“Her father of course, Anastasia replied.
“Oh her father of course? After you left her when she was small, are you still leaving her with me? Yvonne asked and Hope closed her eyes.
“Woman will you mind your business? Anastasia asked her.
“Oh please shut up, Yvonne snubbed and Mpho sighed shaking his head.
“Hope where do you want to stay now you’re back? He asked and Hope looked at Dite who quickly faced down.
“Ermmmm…. If am asked to make a choice, I’ll love to stay with my mom, I need to make her forgive me, Hope replied.
“Is it necessary? I have no problem with you alright, Anastasia said.
“Neither do I, but I’ll love to stay with you, Hope replied and Anastasia rolled her eyes.
“Alright if you say so there’s no problem. Please sit down and make yourself comfortable. Junior go bring that wine, we need to celebrate your sister return, Mpho said and Junior nodded and got up while Hope looked at him smiling.
“He’s looking so big, Hope said.
“Same way you’re looking so big and beautiful, precious said.
“Thank you, and you too. I can barely recognize any of you or tell who is who, Hope replied.
“Like you still remember our names or something? Faith asked.
“Yes yes, I still remember Grace……. “Senior Grace please, call it with respect, Grace interrupted and Precious looked at her.
“Am sorry, Hope whispered.
“Do you have to do that? Precious asked Grace.
“What’s wrong with you? I am the senior and she has to give me that respect, i doubt she was taught this where she was, Grace replied.
“It was an innocent mistake, you should have just let her finish, Precious said.
“So its wrong I corrected her huh? Grace asked.
“Ermmm Hope dear, help me get something from the car please, Dite said immediately Junior returned with the wine and Hope excused herself.
“Aunt nothing has changed, Hope said when she went outside with Dite.
“So i see, and right now i don’t know what to feel anymore, what do you think? Dite asked.
“I know it will be tough, but i have to stay back. You said it yourself we are family, and family must always stick together, Hope replied and Dite held her hands.
“Be strong okay, and don’t forget to contact me if you can’t take it any more, Dite replied and Hope smiled.
“I’ll be fine aunty, Hope replied………….
