The Last Episode

“Take me out of here, please take me out of here now, Julia cried and Jason led her out.
“Honey its enough, you’ve cried too much and that may gladden the hearts of the offenders to see you this way, Alfred said to her cleaning her tears.
“But they will cry more, I’ll sure make them cry more, Julia replied.
“Mom what are you going to do now? Jason asked her in the car.
“Take me to my daughter, Julia replied and Jason drove off to the hospital.
“You’re back? A nurse asked.
“Yes, can’t you let us in now? Julia asked.
“Okay if you insist, you can go in, the nurse replied opening up for them and they slowly walked in.
Julia slowly held Hope hand as she laid still,
“My baby, sorry am calling you this for the first time, just know that I can’t wait to see you get up from here and let’s go home together. For all you’ve gone through, I’ll make sure I will take those pains away and give you the life you truly deserve. We love you Hope, we really do, Julia said and Hope finger shook.
“Did her finger just move? Did you see that? Julia asked.
“Her finger moved? Alfred asked.
“Am sure of that, Julia replied and Jason left to call the doctor…
“There’s nothing for you to fear, that was a sign she will be up very soon. You know she was almost gone in the process she was operated, her body need to regain it strength, the doctor said after checking Hope.
“Can she wake up today? Julia asked.
“Anything can happen, the doctor replied and excused himself.
“Mom I just picked your call………. “Please if its from the company tell them to fuck off, I need to be with my daughter, Julia cut in.
“Okay its from the Station, they called to let you know Regina has been detained, Jason said.
“Thats very good, honey we are taking this to court. They must surely pay for what they have done, Julia replied………
That evening Julia returned and sat with Hope,
“Honey when are you opening your eyes, please we are waiting, Julia slowly said and touched her forehead.
She turned and saw a lady standing outside the door,
“Sorry can we help you? Jason asked.
“Please can you let me in? She asked.
“And why? Who are you? Julia asked.
“My name is Ditebogo, Hope aunty, she replied with a pleading eyes and Jason opened up for her.
She slowly walked up to Hope and covered her mouth from crying,
“Am so sorry Hope, am so sorry, Dite said in tears while they just looked at her.
“I don’t know, which aunt are you to my daughter? Julia asked.
“Anastasia do leave me with her to attend to you as the nanny, I practically took care of her myself before I left for school when she was 3 years. But just few weeks ago I saw her in Johannesburg, a lady who took her away shortly after I left her back then died, and Hope was left stranded with just a night gown and a chain she wanted selling. I decided to take her back to her family for they haven’t seen her for more than 10 years. I thought they will patch things up and take care of her, but I was so wrong. I should have left her with me, she should have stayed with me, Dite replied.
“Then the truth will still be left pending, I think it was for a reason she came back to Venda, Jason said.
“Can you imagine I am just seeing my daughter for the first time in 15 good years? Urghhh those people will pay, Alfred said and Dite nodded.
Hope eyes began shaking and they anxiously looked at her,
“Hope darling, please wake up, Julia whispered touching her and Hope weakly opened her eyes.
“Ohhh she’s awake, she’s awake, Julia happily said and hugged her as Hope sight was still blur.
“Are you feeling any pains my child? Julia asked while Hope looked at her and her sight became clear.
“Madam, Hope whispered.
“No am not, you shouldn’t be calling me that, Julia replied and sniffed and Hope saw Dite.
“Aunty, aunty Dite, she whispered and Dite went close to her and held her hand.
“Thanks for not leaving, you would have broken me for life. You’ve woken up to a new life now and a new identity my dear, no more Hope Mpho again, Dite said holding her hands tight.
“Mommy Monica told me the same thing there, but will they accept me, I can’t beat their daughter, Hope said.
“No don’t say that my child, we never knew what happened and now we know we won’t let you go. No matter how deep we loved Palesa, you are our blood and we love you too, Alfred came in.
“What happened all this years, why didn’t you come for me? I gat to hear someone addressing me as my child from a stranger, I kept passing through bitter phases, what happened to you two? Hope asked shedding tears..
“Believe us we had no idea we would have come for you, we are so sorry, ahhhhh Anastasia! Julia screamed out in tears.
“Hope I know you’re hurt, but you can’t imagine what your parents are going through now. Remember mom tried to fight for you when you were kicked out, then she had no idea you were her own blood. She would have done more for you if she found out the truth on time, please believe us we had no idea, Jason said to Hope.
“Hope its true, they found out the night you were taken, can you remember anything? Dite asked and Hope recalled when she staggered out of the room, she saw two women struggling for what she didn’t know before the trigger was released.
“Was it you that night in the uncompleted building? Hope asked Julia and she nodded.
“I came for you immediately I got to know, I was ready to give my life for you, Julia replied.
“Mom, Hope called out.
“My child, Julia cried out and hugged her.
“Don’t worry we will never leave you this time, we will give you the love and support you ever needed, Julia said still hugging her and Dite ran out of the room in tears.
She met her brother outside who leaned his head on the wall,
“I hope you’ve learned your lessons, for to be sincere, this is all your fault! Dite shouted and he closed his eyes while she hurried out of the hospital………..
Minutes later they were all quiet and Hope shared all she went through,
“Don’t worry Darling, this will remain as stories for it will never happen again, Alfred said touching her Hair and Hope smiled.
“My dad is so handsome, Hope said.
“Awwwnnnn am blushing, Alfred said and they burst out laughing.
“And our daughter is so beautiful, Julia added.
“Yea very pretty and we are so happy to have you, Alfred said.
“Thank you, dad, mom, can you do something for Me? Hope asked.
“Sure anything honey, They replied.
“Can you release them? Hope asked.
“Them who? Julia asked.
“My mom, I mean Anastasia and everyone who did this, Hope replied.
“Hope are you seriously saying this? After all they have done to you? Alfred asked and she nodded.
“Mommy Monica taught me never to pay back evil for evil or try to revenge. For the years I’ve been with her, I have witness people wronged her in so many ways, yet she never fought back but forgave them immediately. She said forgiveness is only for the strong and helps you forget quickly. If you go ahead taking her to court, she will just be in jail and after then what next? You will still be angry like it just happened and it makes no difference. please mom let it go, revenge is only for God, Hope said and Julia surprisedly looked at Alfred.
“Uhmmm, I don’t know what to say, I am so dumbfounded, but if this is what you want, we will do it for you, Alfred spoke up.
“Thank you dad, mom what about you?Hope asked.
“Can I get my phone please? Julia said and Jason handed over the phone to her.
She looked at Hope for a while and called up the station,
“Yes, release them all, Julia said.
“You mean? The cop asked confused.
“Just let them go and drop the case. Thank you, Julia replied and dropped the call looking at Hope.
“Thank you mommy, Hope said and she kssed her on her forehead.
“As long as it makes you happy, Julia said.
“Mom you are so exhausted take your rest please, Hope said to her.
“No no I don’t want to leave, She replied.
“She is right, you two haven’t rested today. Don’t worry I’ll stay with her, Jason came in.
“Alright if you insist, I’ll be back for you tomorrow okay, Julia said pecking her.
“We will call you before going to bed, goodnight love, Alfred said and pecked her.
“Thank you, bye, Hope said and they slowly left.
“Thank you so much Jason, Hope said smiling at him..
“Little wonder I can freely crush on you now as I want, Jason replied and Hope laughed.
“I saw that but then I said, cute guys are play boys, Hope said.
“Nah not my type, am so happy to see things this way, everything won’t be the same with you again Hope, Jason said taking her hand.
“I think I have to adapt to my new life now, Hope replied.
“You don’t need to do that, just enjoy it, Jason said smiling at her………….
The next day Alfredo and Julia came back to the hospital and was surprised to see Hope awake discussing seriously with Jason..
“Good morning mom, good morning dad, Hope brightly greeted.
“Good morning darling, did you sleep tonight at all? Julia asked.
“Don’t even go there, they were just talking and laughing through out the night, The doctor replied and Jason yawned.
“I need to go sleep mom, see ya, Jason said pecking her.
“I think you really need that for stressing my daughter that way, Julia said giving him the car key.
“Don’t worry I’ll take a cab home, Bye Hope, Jason said.
“Bye and see you soon, Hope replied while Julia just smiled looking at her.
“Hey is there anything you want to tell us about Jason? Julia Asked winking at her.
“No mom, Hope replied laughing.
“My daughter doesn’t know what you’re talking about, Alfred came in.
“Thats right dad, Hope said..
Minutes later Anastasia, Palesa, Regina, Dite and Mpho showed up outside the door.
“What the hell, what do they want? Julia angrily said and Dite slowly opened the door.
“Okay you have been released, is this the way back to your house? Julia asked facing them.
“Julia I don’t care if I’ve been released, but I want you to forgive me, I need my conscience to be free, Regina replied.
“Please mom I felt being there will make you forgive me, or better still you can take me back there I will gladly accept it so you can forgive me, Palesa tearfully said.
“I forgive you all, you don’t need to ask for it, Hope said.
“Thank you so much, they said while Anastasia said nothing.
“Okay you are forgiven, I bet that is all right? You can now take your leave, Julia said.
“Julia, I know I was wrong and eerrmmm, I was hardened, pained when I lost my child despite all I did to make sure we survive together. You broke me off from my family and you never discussed about it, and I saw no other punishment for you than to take your child, Anastasia spoke out.
“Anastasia I never knew what happened after I told your parents, but believe me when I say your mom noticed the signs already, and in my foolishness I accepted you were few months pregn@nt. Little did I know she wanted confirming it from me, but then i left with my mom two days later, I never knew what happened that’s why I didn’t ask too. I thought you aborted the child when you told me the number of children you had for your husband, please I wasn’t aware, Julia calmly said and Anastasia slowly stepped forward and hugged her.
“Am sorry, am so sorry, Anastasia whispered to her.
“Am sorry too, Julia said to her and Regina joined in the hug.
Palesa went to Hope and hugged her on bed.
“You are one lucky girl to have them, Palesa said.
“And you are lucky to have mom, she is one mother who can do anything for her child happiness, though i didn’t enjoy that, Hope replied her.
“I understand, please take good care of them, Palesa said smiling back at her.
“Okay I love this family reunion, and Hope brought all of this because she asked us to release you. Mpho please, I give Palesa back to you, she still remain our princess no matter what has happened. You should learn your lessons now and love your children the same regardless of the sx, Alfred said and Mpho nodded.
“I wish i can turn back the hands of time, and I am so sorry for all I’ve done, I just wish is not too late to make up, Mpho replied.
“I believe everyone deserves a chance, Alfredo said.
“Forgive me Anastasia, am so sorry for the hurts, maltreatment….. “Its okay, as long as I have my children with me, and all this is over am fine, Anastasia said and hugged him while Dite laughed out.
“Naughty girl what are you laughing at? Regina asked.
“Just remembering old times anyway with all it drama, but Am so happy is over now. In fact we must celebrate this, Dite said.
“Don’t even go there, I’ll be the chairlady for the celebration, Julia said and they happily laughed……….
Few days later Hope was recovering and got discharged from the hospital.
Everyone gathered to take her home but she shocked them,
“I need to go to Johannesburg, Hope said.
“Honey did you forget anything there? Julia asked.
“There is something I need to do, she replied.
“Do you mind to share? Anastasia asked.
“I want to go say something to mommy, I want to thank her for all she has done, Hope replied and Alfred touched her.
“We will be going with you to thank her also, but please dear let’s go home first and tomorrow we will arrive in the capital, Alfredo said.
“Yes dear we promise, we will take the first flight there, Julia added and Hope nodded.
“So let’s go, Palesa said opening the door her……..
The next day they arrived at the capital and went to the cemetery Monica was Buried dressed on black.
She knelt down before her,
“Thank you mommy, i know you could have hold me back but you gave me a chance to have a new life. Even in the point of death you still came for me, I will never forget you mommy. Thank you for loving me, Hope said and kept the flower Julia bought for her.
“We are so grateful Monica, though we don’t know you but thanks for being there for our daughter, Alfred and Julia whispered and helped Hope up who began shedding tears.
“Stop it honey, she won’t like to see this from you, let’s go, Julia said and they slowly walked away.
3 weeks later Alfred, Julia, Hope and Palesa flew out of the country to meet with Jason who left already.
Julia promised to train Palesa in her education over there, and they lived happily ever after????
