IT’S OKAY TO CRY
Season 2. Episode 27.
A horn came on the gate and the gate was opened,
“That should be Palesa, Julia said when Alfred was already questioning her why she isn’t back yet.
Jason who was in his room came down but Julia saw the car was strange.
“Who is that? Julia asked going out and Jason followed because Alfred isn’t strong enough.
“Favor? Jason called her when she came out.
“You need to help your daughter ma, she’s in danger, Favour said to Julia.
“My Palesa is in danger? How is that possible she’s with your mom, Julia replied.
“No, palesa isn’t your daughter but Hope. I know it sounds stupid but there is no time to explain, right now daughter and mother has held her captive and am scared, Favour said.
“Look if you want your daughter alive, call up the cops now before you’ll find her dead, the cab man added.
“What rubbish are you saying what happened to Palesa? Julia shouted and Jason ran immediately to Palesa room to bring the envelope.
“Can you please call up the cops first? I know you must have their direct number, Favour said and Julia quickly dialed a number.
“Yes officer, there’s an emergency. Please meet me immediately at home with your boys, Julia said.
“Okay right away, The cop replied and dropped the call.
“Are we going to wait for them? The cab man asked.
“They will be here soon, but wait I need to go change up and come with you, Julia replied and turned to go in but saw Jason coming out.
“Mom you need to see this, Jason said giving her the DNA result,
“What’s this? She asked.
“I found it in Palesa room, Favor is right, she is not your daughter, Jason replied and Julia eyes bulged out and she looked at Favour shocked.
“How did this happen? Julia asked.
“I think Anastasia…. My mom owes you an explanation, but for now pray your daughter Hope survives their plans. Am so sorry, Favor replied and Julia legs felt weak and Jason quickly held her from falling.
“Mom you can’t be weak now, dad can’t do anything because of his health, right now Hope needs you, Jason shouted.
“What’s going on? Can someone tell me what’s going on? Alfred shouted coming out slowly and the maid helped him out.
Julia couldn’t reply as she couldn’t stop crying,
“Don’t worry dad, we will take care of everything. Take me to her, Jason said.
“I’ll come with you, Favour said.
“Me too, and lets go immediately. Please sir accompany the cops when they arrive, Julia said to the cab man.
“Sure i will, he replied and Julia tearfully looked at Alfred who stood stupid.
“We will be back, please call on the cops to hurry up, we can’t wait for them, Julia said and they drove off…….
For minutes Hope couldn’t move as Anastasia thew her on the bare floor.
Hope began to cough severally as she laid there weakly,
“Hello there, Anastasia said waving at her.
“Mom why are you doing this to me? What have i ever done to you? Hope slowly said with tears streaming down her face but Anastasia smiled and got her bag from Palesa.
She brought out a gun and Palesa gasped,
“Point of correction Bastard, I am not your mother. You were never my daughter Hope, can’t you see? Anastasia said.
“Then who is my mother? Tell me Who! Hope shouted.
“You want to know? Fine I’ll let you know before I finish you off, take that as my parting gift from us to you, Anastasia said and Hope sniffed.
“Palesa what did i do to you too? Why are you joining in this evil? Hope asked.
“Oh please, everything would have been so cool if you didn’t try to take Jason from me, Jason is mine and not even you can take him away from me, Palesa replied.
“What are you talking about? I am not taking Jason from you please let me go, Hope said.
“So you will take mom and dad from me? No Hope you can’t do that to me, you can’t take me away from the palace, sorry I have to do this, Palesa replied and Hope tried to get up but Anastasia pushed her down.
“What are you talking about? What business do I have with your parents? Hope shouted.
“Oh just shut up! Because you are their daughter! Palesa shouted.
“Because I am their what? Hope asked.
“Happy right? Oh common you shouldn’t be shocked but you should be celebrating. That was a good news but sorry you won’t live to be their princess because they are mine, Palesa said.
‘How did that happen? Please how did that happen? Hope asked in tears.
“Oh I guess you don’t know we were born on the same date, month, year and the same hospital over there in the capital. Well it happened when there was a switch at birth, that’s because I was meant to be a princess not you, Palesa replied and Hope staggered and got up as her eyes sparked with anger and her face bathed with tears.
“It wasn’t enough you switched me at birth, you treated me like a slave and a no body despite my personality. Now I guess you want to kill me so your daughter takes over right? That’s very good of you, what are you waiting for? Go ahead and kill me, common pull the trigger! Hope shouted facing Anastasia and she bit her lips.
“Oh little one, your mother brought this to you, Anastasia said.
“Why should i suffer for her? Is Palesa suffering for your sins? Because what I see your Darling daughter is enjoying my right while my pay is death. Don’t just stand there looking at me, common pull the trigger, Hope shouted and Anastasia nodded and pointed her the gun.
“No mom, I can’t watch this, Palesa said.
“What’s wrong with you? Its getting late and i have to finish this and take you home, Anastasia replied.
“Okay but please let me leave first, am not strong for the sight please understand, Palesa replied.
“I told the stupid Julia i will take you home myself, so just be strong and watch this. Your mother is brave, and Lion begat Lion, Anastasia said and Hope quickly held the gun.
A hot struggle issued between them as Palesa refused to go near afraid the trigger may pull in the process.
Anastasia gave Hope a heavy push and she hit herself on the wall and fell still.
“Mom are you alright? Palesa went to Anastasia.
“This girl is truly tough, Anastasia replied and pointed the gun at her.
“Mom please i may faint also, must we kill her? Palesa asked shaking and Anastasia looked at her.
“You are not talking like my daughter. She knows the truth now remember, do you think she wont expose us? Or are you now ready to lose everything? Anastasia asked.
“Mom please let me go and you can carry on with it, else i may fuck up and spill the truth because of the sight on my head. Don’t punish me please and don’t think am that tough, I know what to tell mom when i get home, Palesa replied.
“I’ll see you off then, Anastasia said…….
“That is Anastasia car, Julia pointed when they saw the car parked.
“Yes she got into the car joining Palesa who took Hope from the hotel, Favor replied.
“Palesa? Where are they now? Julia asked..
“Not far from this spot, favour replied and Jason drove for a while,
“This is all my fault, i shouldn’t have let Palesa follow me to the hotel, Jason angrily said hitting the steering.
“Please take it easy, favor replied as she was scared for her mother.
“That’s my car, Julia sighted her car parked.
“Okay let’s stop here, they got into the uncompleted building, favour replied and Jason came to a halt.
They came out and ran inside, just then they met with Anastasia and Palesa coming out,
“Favor! Anastasia called out shocked.
“Mom why are you doing this? Please stop it I beg you, there is still time, Favor said in tears.
“Anastasia! You bitch what did you do! Julia shouted and fell on Anastasia.
“Jason what are you doing here? Palesa whispered shocked.
“Oh i should ask you that, where is Hope! Jason shouted on her.
“Now you stop it idiot, I see you came to get your foolish daughter but she is no more, Anastasia shouted pointing a gun at Julia who was breathing hard.
“Where is my daughter Anastasia? Give her back to me, Julia said.
“There she is behind you, Anastasia replied pointing at Palesa who was crying already shaking her head as she saw her mother in tears.
“How could you do this Palesa? Despite all have done for you, is this how you will repay me? Julia asked in tears looking at palesa while her lips shook.
“I didn’t wish for this to happen mommy, i love you very much, palesa replied.
“You love me? Do you call this love? Julia asked.
“Enough Anastasia, remember what you did to me years ago? This is pay back Time. How do you feel losing a child? Because you made me lose mine years ago and i never forgot! Anastasia shouted and Julia slowly went on her knees.
“Please am begging you, its enough already. Am sorry, we were both young and foolish then, punish me instead and take my daughter from this because she is innocent, Julia replied.
“My child was innocent too yet he was punished so why should yours be an exception? Common Julia, I still feel the pains of all i went through and it feels so good to see you on your knees begging me. Who would have ever believed that? Anastasia asked and burst out laughing…
Hope slowly opened her eyes and heard the noise, she held her head in pains and staggered out.
Julia got angry and trickily took sand from where she knelt and threw it on Anastasia face and quickly held the gun..
“Mom! Palesa and Favour both shouted as they feared for their mothers who struggled fiercely.
Jason tried protecting the girls as such a struggle is risky but they heard a gun shot.
Everyone was quiet and looked around to see who got shot, but Julia stood in shock with tears streaming down her face as the bullet fell on Hope who unknowingly got in immediately.
“Hope! Hope! Hope no! Julia screamed out and held her as the siren was heard coming……………
